"It's about time I tell you about my world."

That was an hour ago. Lucas had left me alone to process everything he had told me about his world.

I was pacing around the room my hands in my curly hair as I tried to make sense of it all.

Of course, he had only told me little bits and pieces, which made everything he explained even more confusing.

I was taken out of my confused trance by a knock on the door. I dropped my hands from my scalp, staring at the door until I heard another knock. I walked over to the door slowly, before turning the handle and looking at whoever was behind it through a narrow strip.

It was the woman whose room I had barged into, she threw me a contagious smile and held up something in her hands. I looked down from her face to the platter of cookies she was holding.

"Hi!" She started, with the smile still on her face. "I come in peace."

I opened the door a bit more so my whole face was in view. "Huh?" I questioned.

Her smile faltered for second before it spread over her face once more. "Can I come in?" She asked.

I stood there awkwardly wondering if I should. On one hand, I was still pretty confused about this whole werewolf thing, on the other hand though... I don't know this person. Whose to say I can trust her.

I opened the door fully after a moment of awkward silence, she walked in and walked straight to the armchairs by the window. There on a small table, she set down the cookies and sat down. I stood by the door watching her as she made herself comfortable. I looked her over, she had white streaks in her hair, that was pin straight. She looked up at me and pat down the seat next to her, signaling me to come to sit next to her.

I stood my position near the door, not wanting to get too close to her.

Noticing my defiance she spoke out. "I won't bite, come sit down." She tried persuading me.

But that's exactly what someone who would bite me, would say.

"But" She spoke again. "I will bite if you don't come here." and she raised her eyebrows to see if I would continue my defiance.

My mouth fell slightly in shock. Who was she to demand me around like this?

I took too long analyzing her, that she chuckled and bared her now full-grown canines at me. No taking any chances with her, I began walking over to her painstakingly slow.

She dropped her devilish smile and adorned her face with a cheery one, as I sat down next to her, being careful to adjust the giant shirt I was now dressed in.

"You like the shirt?" She asked, her gray eyes never leaving my own.

I didn't respond, which caused her to sigh. "Dawnnn." She drawled out. "I know you're not mute."

I snapped my head to her. "How do you know my name?" I questioned her.

She laughed, "Alpha said it earlier. You remember, no?" She took a cookie as I tried to remember.

"Penny," I said to which she responded back with a smile. "That's your name, right?" I asked.

She nodded taking another bite of her cookie. "Penistone, but yeah, Penny for short."

My face scrunched slightly as I tried to hold in my laughter.

She noticed my horrible attempt of not smiling, and sarcastically laughed at me. "Ha Ha, Penis stone, sooo funny." She crossed her arms. "It's not pronounced like that." She mumbled.

"How is it pronounced?" I asked, after containing my laughter carefully.

She huffed, pushing a strand of her white hair behind her ear. "Pen es tun, my parents obviously wanted to make my life hell."

I watched her slightly amused, but I wouldn't let her know. She continued talking. "And Zeke- It's short for Ezekiel." She threw her hands in the air. "What the fuck were my parents on when they named us."

I caught up on that, "Zeke is your brother?" I questioned. She nodded, while angrily taking a bite of her cookie. "You guys don't look anything alike," I whispered to myself. Zekes hair was blond, while Penny's was whiter than snow. They both had dark eyes, though one of Penny's eyes looked a shade lighter than the other, maybe that was an indication of their relationship.

"Get that a lot, people don't believe that someone as gorgeous as me came out of the same womb as that assface." She said while wiping her hands on her pants. She lifted the platter once more after she caught me staring at her wiping her hands. "Cookie?"

I took one while keeping my eyes on her, "I hope you don't mind me asking but your eyes... are they different colors?" I asked while glancing at each individual eye.

She laughed, "Yeah they are, I have Waardenburg syndrome. That also explains the hair." She grabbed a strand and let it fall over her eyes as she smiled at me.

"Oh." I responded. "What is.... uh-"

"Waardenburg syndrome." She finished for me, sensing my struggle.

"Yes," I smiled back to her. "That."

She pulled up her legs and sat crisscrossed on the chair, "Basically means changes in the coloring of my hair, skin, and eyes. I have type 2, I can't really hear you from this ear." She pointed at her right ear. "But werewolf hearing comes handy for me, well at least handy in my left ear."

"Oh my God, I'm sorry if I sounded insensitive earlier." I rushed out that apology, my hand dropped the cookie on my lap and out of instinct my hand went over and I placed it on hers.

"You're good, don't sweat it." She smiled, and then she looked down, following her eyes I realized that I had just invaded her space. I quickly recoiled my hand and wrapped my arms over my body.

"Be careful Dawn. Don't want Lucas walking in on this." She teased.
