Chapter 1: Last Night

Milly, Had fun last night, maybe we could do it again sometime. - Chance

Waking up to this note and not with Chance next to me should have made me mad, but I was glad I didn't have to wake up next to him. Deep down, I hoped I didn't have to see him ever again. What made me mad though, was the fact he called me Milly, when my name was Lilly.

I sighed laying back down on my pillow. How did I let last night get so out of hand? I should have known what his plan was the moment we enter my room, but no I played right into his trap.

Last night at that stupid dinner party my parents had thrown was what had started it all. I was sitting alone watching my parents' guest stand around talking among one another, when Chance came and sat down next to me throwing his arm over my shoulder, "So this is boring" he remarked.

"I suppose," gazing about the room trying not to pay him any attention. I've overheard about his player ways around school, so I always attempted to dodge him. He was known for playing with girls' hearts to get them in bed, only to toss them to the side after. The odd part was that all the girls knew about the type of person he was, but still bounce at an opportunity with Chance Morgan. Even after he got what he desired, they would chase him down the hall sobbing for him to take them back. The problem I had with him was that he was always around since our families were close friends.

"How about we get out of here and observe something more satisfying," he asked pulling me tighter to him.

I discarded his arm and went to walk away when he gripped hold of my elbow. "I was thinking more upstairs. Away from the adults," he stated. I couldn't reflect on anyone who had ever rejected Chance before, but I wasn't about to submit into his charm.

"I think my parents would rather I stay downstairs." Discarding his hold, I walked over to where my parents were standing with the Morgan's.

My mom and Mrs. Morgan greeted me with a smile, as my father and Mr. Morgan talked about combining their companies together. "I believe we should assign one of your restaurants into my hotels, and if it goes well we can combine more," I heard Mr. Morgan announce as my heart sank. I knew my father wanted me to take over his restaurant business once he retired, but if he agreed to the merging, then that meant I would be stuck with Chance for a business partner when I finally took over.

Watching my dad shaking his head in acceptance about the same time, someone placed their hand on my lower back, "What did I miss" I heard the devil himself ask.

"Oh honey there you are, where have you been?" His mother asked.

He sighed wrapping his arm around my waist, pulling me to him, "I try to get Milly to come hang-out with me, but she turned me away." He revealed making himself sound hurt. It was no shock that I turn him away since every time our families got together, I found a way to avoid him like the plague.

"That sounds like a remarkable idea. After all you two might be business partners one day." My father agreed, smiling at us. "Maybe you both should start spending some time together, so you get to know one another a little better. It won't hurt to become friends."

"But dad..."

However, I was cut off with Chance pulling against my upper arm "Let's go and leave the adults to their planning out our future business partnership." He laughed, pulling me out of the room, while captivating an open bottle of champagne.

As we got to the stairway, I yanked my arm out of his hold, "Stop trying to manhandle me. I'm not some child you can drag around. I thought I made it clear I have no desire to be around you. You're not even my type.

"Oh, and what is your type," he asked, stepping closer to me but not touching me.

A guy who knows how to treat a woman properly. Not some man-whore that goes and sleeps in a different girl's bed every night, only to treat them like trash the next day." I respond taking a step back as I saw the rage start to play out in his green eyes about my accusations. He then closes his eyes and shook his head slightly going back to his normal calm and collective self before giving me a devilish smile.

He grabbed me by my arm once again and drew me back to him. "Quit being such a goody-goody and live a little. Our parents are in the other room busy with planning our future together, so let's go upstairs, and I'll show you how much of a good guy I can be." He didn't wait for my reply as he laid down throwing me over his shoulder up to the next level. "Which room is yours?" he asked. I just shook my head at him, not wanting to tell him. That's when he began laughing at me, "You think I don't know where it is?" He walks down the hall until he got to my door and walked in. After shutting the door, he places me back on my feet.

"How did you know this was my room?" I demanded, crossing my arms over my chest as I turn to face him. "Have you been in here without my knowing?"

He plops down on the bed, taking a drink from the champagne, "Chill Milly; I've been to your house hundreds of times. I know which room you always run to, when I came over with my parents." He leans back still holding the bottle in his hands "What I don't understand is... why?"

"Why, what?" I inquired, sitting down at my desk chair to try to remain as far as I could from him.

"Why do you always run away from me? It's like every time you see me coming; you find a way to avoid me." Then he gets back on his feet and walked over to me with the bottle still in his hand. When he was finally standing in front of me, he placed both hands on either side of me, trapping me in, making me feel anxiety about being alone with him. "Do I make you nervous, Milly" he laughed, bringing his face closer to mine.

"N, N, N... No" I stuttered as I felt my heart rate go up. What was his plan with me? He knew now I didn't think very highly of him and with knowing that it had to have put a dent in his ego. "And quit calling me Milly, my name is Lilly."

He stood back up, taking a drink from the bottle, while still eyeing me. "No, I won't stop calling you Milly. I've been calling you that since we were kids." He implied, then he handed me the bottle "Here, drink it will kill off some of those nerves you have about being around me."

I grabbed the bottle from him, taking a swig tasting the sweet, bubbly, liquid entering my mouth. I thought about just keeping the bottle for myself and kicking him out of my room to lock him out. Taking yet another drink as I stood up and looked back up at him. I thought about what those other girls must have done when they were alone with him, but I had to use it to make him step away from me and out the door, so I could lock him out.

I brought the bottle back to my mouth and took a third drink, but this time I drank too much causing me to start coughing, making me feel dizzy. "Whoa there Milly, maybe you should sit back down," he said, pulling me over to the bed, He took the bottle away, placing it on the nightstand.

The room started to spin a little, so I close my eyes to try to get my bearing straight, but it only made me fall back onto the bed. The bed sunk down next to me as I felt Chance's hand lay on top of my stomach, "Can you just leave me alone, please." I said around the time the dizziness slowly went away.

"Now what kind of gentleman would I be if I did that? Who is going to hold your hair back if you get sick?" he laughed, but then I felt the mattress pop up as I open my eyes to see that he was now leaning over me giving me yet another devilish smile.

"What are you doing?" I demanded

"Watching over you," he said and leans down to place his hands on either side of me as he began to kiss me along my neck, "I wouldn't want your parents to think unkindly of me for leaving their daughter up here and not taking care of her."

I was unaware if it was the result of the alcohol or my body just enjoying the smooth kisses he was leaving along my neckline. When he started nibbled at the spot right behind my ear, I let out a soft moan. I've never had a guy do this to me as my body slowly gave into him. He moved downward to where my neck and shoulder met, and bit down and began to suck against the skin. I circle my arms around his neck to bring him closer to me, as his hands embark at the hem of my dress pulling it off my body onto the floor.

I lay there under his watchful eyes as he licked his lips, "Damn; I've always wondered what you look like under all those clothes, but this is better than I imagined." He then leans back down and places his lips against my expose breast that wasn't hiding under the bra.

Things soon became heated up as more clothes were removed, as he leaned over me pressing our naked bodies together. Chance pulled up from kissing me and looked me in the eyes, "Milly, please tell me this is ok? Tell me you want this just as badly as I do." He asked leaning his forehead against mine. "If this isn't what you want we can stop. I don't want to force you to do something you're not ready for."

My body was already in a heated passion, and I knew there was no turning back from it all now, "Yes Chance; I want this just as much as you do."

When we both hit our climax, he fell on top on me, "Chance, I can't breathe." I complain. He lifts up, giving me a charming little smile before standing up at the base of the bed. Considering this was the part where he would leave, I pulled the bedspreads back to see him watching me, "What?"

He simply shook his head and pulled the blanket back "Scoot over," he commanded, laying down next to me as he brought me closer to him. I laid my head on his naked torso, thinking if this was how he normally acted after he slept with someone or was he just trying to be courteous to me. "Night Milly," was the last thing I heard when sleep finally took over.

When I finally woke up the next morning to an empty bed, I wasn't all that upset. I knew the type of guy he was and the things he did, but what I didn't understand was the note. Looking down at the note, then over to the spot that we had been at, I suddenly felt disgusted with myself. How could I let last night, play out the way it did? The only thing I knew is that I wouldn't let it occur again.

Getting up I got dressed into some loose-fitting clothing and pulled my bedding off to get rid of any scent that Chance had been there. I didn't need a reminder of that ludicrous night and didn't want my parents asking questions if they noticed he had been in my bed.

After walking out of the washroom, I saw my mother in the kitchen making breakfast, "Morning sweetie, did you and Chance finally settled your differences?"

"I guess, we had a few drinks and talked. When I told him I wasn't feeling too well, he left." I lied hoping she didn't see him leave or something after I had fallen asleep. "I think I might have gotten sick because there was some throw up on my blanket, so I'm washing it."

She eyed me closely and began shaking her head, "If you say so sweetie, are you feeling ok now?"

"I still feel a little light headed," I reply, placing my hand on my head, "I'm going to lay down." Walking back to my room, I pray that sense Chance finally got what he desired from me, he would now avoid me, and that I never have to deal with him again.
