I have recently realized my love for Celtic music, and that playing it on my guitar calms me down. So, because my stress levels had reached an all-time high, I was passionately playing away at my borrowed guitar.

"Remind me why you're hiding again?"

Flinching at the question, my fingers slipped and the strings made an unpleasant twang. I looked up from the notes I was reading, to Cello who was sitting behind her drum set, giving me an expectant look.

We were currently holed up in her band's little hideout building, waiting for the rest of her band members to arrive. After the Talent Show, Cello and I became closer and I found out that she was part of an aspiring rock band. They had a YouTube channel and played covers of trending songs.

And now, in the most darkest hour of my life-

"Could you stop having an inner monologue and just tell me already?" Cello raised a brow at me. "Charlie's on her way. You don't want me to get the story from her, do you?"

I grimaced. Lee had a knack for blowing things out of proportion. "Oh, god no. No. It's just..." I sighed, then stood up from the overly stuffed couch I had planted myself on, to return my borrowed guitar back on its stand, before turning back to Cello. "My parents found out about Leo and me."

"About time!" Cello exclaimed, throwing her hands in the air, drumsticks and all. "The Ragtag Boys started betting. How did they react?"

"I don't know. Ran out of the house before they could react and took Leo's car." I shrugged sheepishly.

Cello winced. "Yikes. You left Leo to his death?"

"Not really," I replied, then reached for my phone and gave it to her once I unlocked it to show her Leo's text.

Cello raised her brows as she read out loud. "You little bitch...your dad chased me down five blocks before giving up. Hiding out at Jeremy's. Love you. Wow." She handed the phone back to me. "What are you gonna do now?"

Uncertain, I lifted a shoulder. "Figure out a plan of...something I guess..."

The drummer shook her head. "Again: wow. Good luck."

Just then, the door banged open and in strode Charlie Saint, with Leo following after her.

Wait, what?

"Leo?" I questioned, standing up.

His eyes went to me, and I saw his shoulders drop in relief before I was tackled in a hug. "I am so happy to be alive," he cried out. "When your dad started chasing me, I saw my life flash before my eyes!"

I rolled my eyes, before pushing him away, but also kept him at an arm's length. "What are you doing here?"

"He," Charlie answered, "is here because I am acting as mediator between the two of you," she waved a finger between Leo and me, "and your parents. More specifically, your dad's. Your moms can't be more ecstatic. I think they started talking baby names."

Leo and I shared a look.

Charlie clapped her hands together, then took a seat on the couch. "So, as mediator, I have come up with a plan."

"I don't like the sound of this," Leo muttered, and I nodded.

My best friend simply gave us a grin. "Both of you sit your asses down. We have a dinner to plan."
