As the days went by, it became somewhat easier for me to text Leo without my feelings getting involved. Being around him in school however, was a different story all together. Me:
What got you into romance novels?

And the wait began, but it didn't last too long.

Leo:
Well, my mom is an editor. And as a young child, she'd let me "help" by looking out for typos while she did some real editing. That's what got me into reading. Then just two years ago, she was assigned to edit some romance novels, and I was a goner. Lol!

Me:
That's...surprisingly anticlimactic.

Leo:
Right???

Me:
Actually, I don't know what I was expecting. 😂😂

Leo:
How about you? How did you get into books?

I hummed as I thought about the answer.

Me:
Well...I've always been into books. Reading romance then smutty romance just happened naturally.

Leo:
What about music?

That got me to chuckle.

Me:
That has been in my soul since I was in my mama's womb. Mom used to be a piano teacher and during her pregnancy she would always play something for me, apparently, hoping I'd have her love for music when I grow up. She got her wish, but unfortunately, I took to the guitar more than I did to the piano.

Me:
I think I got sick of hearing it. 😂

Leo:
That's plausible.

Leo:
So music runs through your veins, eh?

Me:
As cheesy as that is, yeah.

Leo:
Legit.

Me:
What about you? What's your other likes aside from romance novels??

Leo:
Well...I like football, I like the tv series Bones, and I still like hanging out with mom and helping her with editing books. This time actually helping her. Lol!

Me:
Dude, I'm envious. I want to edit books too!!!

Leo:
You can come over to my house and help...

Me:
Ha! Nice try.

Leo:
Can't blame a guy for trying. I'm still holding out hope that I'd get to meet you in person one day.

If only you knew. There was a smile on my lips.
