The day went by normally as I am now headed to history class. As I entered, I was surprised to see that Brad is sat next to my seat which isn't his actual chair arrangement. Probably because I noticed that a substitute teacher is taking their position at the teacher's desk for today. Brad sees me as I stood awkwardly by the doorway. Slowly, I made way to my space and sat down with my head low but eyes carefully peering over to the side to look at him. His stare didn't leave me and I was a bit afraid of him catching me looking so I turned the other way when I heard him speak, "no hello?"

Blinking, I faced back to Brad who was giving a small grin, "I've missed you, you know?"

Blushing, I mirrored his smile and hugged him. He returns the embrace and a few voices from the other students, mostly girls, cooed in adoration. I didn't know they were watching us. A bit embarrassed, I parted myself and held my hands to my face to cover my rosy cheeks. "So... are you doing well?" I asked him.

"Yeah," he nods, "hey umm..." he continues with a bashful murmur, hand rubbing the back of his head. Waiting, it appears that he still has things he wanted to stay, so I waited patiently, "I'm sorry for... everything, for being shitty these past few days. For neglecting you, and the horrible things I've done..." he frowns and I laid my hand on top of his, to which he takes a soft hold of. He smiles, "please let me treat you out for dinner, and uh, could you bring Annabel with as well..." he says.

Surprised, I accepted his apology and nodded. "I miss you too," I said back to him. Just then, the teacher asked for our attention to get the class started.

-

"Listen, everybody," Mr. Gil's voice rang around the talking crowd of a class. Soon, all of our heads turned to him. "I'm sure at least most of you are aware of the incoming prom in about a week now," everyone cheered at the reminder. "Now, the reason why I'm saying so is that the school is giving a chance to recruit a few representatives as singing entertainers," Everyone murmured in amusement and were enthusiastic of the idea, "so, if any of you would like to consider participating, come line up at my office," he ended. Soon, a few students stood up to there feet and followed him over to his room.

Not even a minute, my friends bothered me to sign up, "you should go!" Felix encouraged.

I laughed nervously, "erm, not this time guys..."

"Aw, why not?" James pouted.

Silent, my eyes turned to Annabel who was just observing, "how about you?" I asked.

She looked at me with a tilted head and everyone waited for what she had to say, "sure, I can go," she agreed easily with confidence and a smile.

"Why do I have to go?" Later on, we heard someone else. Our attention soon darted at the other side of the class where Zack and the others who seem to be pleading him to join as well.

"Come on Zack! You never perform independently, this is your last year!" His younger brother Davey complained while his friends chanted, almost looks like peer pressure, "do it, do it, do it!" Zack looked at them in shock and nervous when he noticed us looking at him.

"You better do it and show Andrea what you're made of you wuss!" Ethan yelled out with cupped hands, to which it sent Zack into a flustered mess.

"Alright alright!" He gave in and pouted. Soon, he began walking down the risers and lining up as well.

Annabel giggled as she watched him and got up, "I guess I should start heading too," she says.

"Good luck!" I gave her a thumbs-up as I watched her taker her place behind Zack in the line.  The two sharing a conversation while waiting for their registration. As we sat down comfortably for a moment, Kate was curious, "Hey, are you and Brad in good terms now?"

"Yeah, actually, I'm glad we talked about it during history," I smiled happily.

"Oh thank fuck, my fanfiction survives," she sighs in a very relieved way to which I rolled my eyes to, "seriously though, I might have lost my shit if things went even worse between you two. Those months of writing could have been all for nothing," she added.

"Months?!" My eye twitched.

As the school was coming to an end, Annabel, James, Kate, Felix, and I are walking around the halls when I remembered to tell that Brad is asking to join him for evening. Turning to Anna, I told her, "hey, Brad is asking if you could come with for dinner," she stops and so did the others. They didn't expect so suddenly for a request such as this.

"He's asking?" She stared, bewildered.

"I'm not exactly sure if he was 'asking', more of as if he wants you to be there."

Annabel seemed to be thinking, wondering if she should accept or decline. Since Brad has come to a state of mind that he wants to mend the bonds, I think this could be a great opportunity for them to fix things. "Please come," I held her hand and looked at her in the eyes.

"Okay..." she murmurs.

"Easy just like that? So much for our plan 'we' tried to construct," Kate's jaw dropped to which Felix made a fart noise to annoy her further.

"Well, at least it's being executed in a way," James shrugged.

"Well, you two should get prepared then," Felix waved, "good luck you guys."
