Zack was busy on his phone having a conversation with who knows who, my guess is Andrea; because at the current moment, the guys and I are just chilling by the parking lot after school for a while. "I heard that prom is coming up soon," Taylor brought up into our conversation.

Oh yeah, prom, I almost forgot about that.

"Any of you got dates to bring?" Liam scanned all of us.

Jackson shook his head, "erm, no..." he sounded almost disappointed.

"Well, we know this guy's got one," Taylor slung his arm around Zack's shoulders who is still busy on his device. Taylor caught a glimpse of his screen and raised an eyebrow questioningly. They shared looks at each other before both of them became fixated at it. The talk about prom makes me feel a little bit depressed, considering the situation. I guess it's time I need to stop being a little bitch and start getting back together with Noah. I really do miss him, and I don't want to spend our last prom night separated and alone. I was busy wallowing in my self-pity that I didn't realize that they were all huddled around Zack. Curious, I asked what was up with them, "what are you guys looking at?" I said.

They sent glances to one another before Taylor parted away, soon, they all did as well, "well, I've gotta get home early," He said, Jackson and Liam followed.

"What? I thought we were all gonna hang out again?" I said, surprised.

"Sorry, I just remembered that I've got a bunch of homework piled up," Jackson excused himself.

"My cousin's pulling my ear again and I gotta get back to fixing my hours at work," Liam said. Then after that, they all bid their farewells before walking towards their own vehicles. Staring at them in pure un-amusement that they so suddenly canceled, I turned to Zack who remained in the same spot with him putting away his phone in his pocket. "Do you not have an unexpected agenda too?" I crossed my arms at him.

"Nah, I'm free," he shrugged, "still wanna hangout?" He asks.

Losing up my tension, I let up a faint grin, "sure."

What was originally planned if the other three didn't randomly bail, we would've spent our time in the arcade at the mall, but since Zack is the only one who's left, plans have changed. He suggested that we should just go sit down somewhere chill and quiet, so I thought we could just go to the bridge near the park in my neighborhood and relax. We drove to the place and walked around for a while before ending up where we wanted to be. Here we sat down with our feet dangling on the edge while the soft breeze brushed our skin. There was a comfortable quietness between us, but I wanted to talk, "so, what were you guys looking at your phone? Was it Andrea?" I teased.

Zack rolled his eyes, "no," he shook his head.

I chuckled, "so what is it then?"

He shook his head and heaved a sigh, "let's not talk about me..." he starts, looking at me in the eye with a soft yet serious look, "let's talk about you," Tilting my head in confusion at the sharp turn of mood, I just kept silent. "You should talk to Noah. You've heard, prom is coming up quick."

Frowning and looking down, I laid back with my hands behind the back of my head, "yeah, I really need to huh?" I murmured, staring into the charming blue sky.

"Ok good," he nodded, but that same expression still hasn't faded, "now..." he continues, "he's not the only person you have to have a conversation with."

Genuinely not following, I lifted myself to my elbows, "huh?"

He shook his head, "you also need to sort things out with Annabel."

I looked at him with a faltered and sad look. Peeling my eye contact away from him a puffed out a sour breath, "I-I can't," I stuttered.

"Why?" I hear him.

"I just... I can't bare after having my heart broken by her," I shut my eyes to keep myself from getting further agitated. I don't know if I can even look at her without filling a pang on my chest. There was a moment of silence before he spoke again, "Brad..." he was using his consoling tone.

"As much as it hurts right now, having to end your ties with Anna like this isn't good. You're both hurt..."

Pursing my lips and tightening my hold on the ridges of the bridge, I kept listening.

"She's sorry, she never meant to bring you down like this. She tried her hardest to keep her mouth shut so you and Noah could blossom together with what you have right now. There was no malice in her intentions, only misunderstandings..." I felt him place his hand on my shoulder. Hearing his consultations, I took deep breaths to calm myself down.

A few seconds have flown by before I nodded, "okay... okay..." I mumbled softly, looking back at him.

Zack gave me a pitied smile, "are you going to talk to her?"

"Yes," I finished off.

He nods before carefully standing up. I know noticed that his legs were slightly shaking. "Nice, also, it took almost all of my willpower to sit down next to you. Can we get off this bridge? Heights scare the heck out of me," he said with his teeth gritting. Lowly laughing, I got up as well and we both started making our way back.

Zack shared a little bit of his perspective on the way.

"I mean, you can view it this way: if you and Annabel hadn't broken up, you might not ever be dating Noah now."
