|| NOAH ||

After school, I met up with Annabel and are sat on one of the tables in the library as usual. We waited for a while for the others only to see just Ethan himself come up to us, "Hey guys," he greeted us as he took his seat next to me.

"Hi, Ethan," Annabel and I said at the same time.

"The others are rather late, aren't they?" I said, looking around the quiet room.

"Oh," Ethan spoke, "Felix has a bunch of stuff to catch up on, and Kate's helping him," he said.

"On what?" Annabel questioned.

"English," Ethan said with a shrug.

I looked at Annabel, she seemed a little bit confused as well, "weird, he's usually good at English," she pondered.

"Okay, what about James?" I wondered.

"He had another dentist appointment he needed to go to," Ethan answered.

"So I guess it's just us," I murmured.

"Seems like it," Annabel looked at me. Our group of three remained silent. None of us pulled out anything out of our bags which probably meant we didn't have any work to do. I thought of bringing up that maybe we could drive around and get some snacks, so I spoke, "Hey, you guys wanna go out and eat?" I mentioned, trying to get us out of this awkward situation.

"Sure," Said Annabel as Ethan just nodded. We began putting on our bags and headed out of the library to make way to the parking lot. Pressing the button on my keychain until I heard my vehicle beep in response. I took my seat on the driver's spot, Annabel next to me in the passenger side, and Ethan on the back, "any ideas where to go?" I asked them.

"no, not really..." Annabel shook her head.

"Yeah, I don't have anywhere planned to go," said Ethan. I stared at my steering wheel and thought for a possible place to eat. I'm sure they would be upset if I took them somewhere expensively extravagant like always. I thought hard, and my mind drifted to a certain restaurant. I peered over to them and smiled, "I've got an idea," I said and started the engine.

"Is this okay with you guys?" I said looking at them. We're stood at the familiar restaurant that Brad took me to after our studying session. I must say, this place is good in both prices and food, so this should be the perfect place for a quick meal.

"It's this place..." Annabel said silently, her eyes staring at the front of the building filled with fondness.

"You've been here before?" I said, opening the entrance doors to let my friends in.

"Yeah, actually, this is where Brad and I used to go here all the time," she said as she gave the area a quick look. I stared at her in surprise.

"Woah, sup guys," a guy's voice caught my attention. I turned to see Liam standing with a tray in hand looking at us with a grin. His eyes darted at all three of us, "Brad ain't with you?" He tilted his head.

"No," I said to him.

"Why wouldn't you bring your boyfriend along?" He chuckled. I felt the need to cover myself as my face began to redden.

"Oh don't tease him like that," Annabel crossed her arms. Liam apologized and cleared his throat. "It's been a while, huh?" He said with a sad smile as he looked at Annabel who only nodded in response. Curiously, I asked what he was doing here. Annabel and Liam informed me at the same time that this is his place of work. Now that they mentioned it, I realized how his outfit mimicked the other staff members around here. I then started asking for a table and he nods, leading me to the exact same semi-circular table that Brad and I were sat at the last time I was here. "thanks Liam," Ethan said as he took his seat next to me while Annabel was on my other side.

"No problem," he smiled, handing us the menu, "I'll check on you guys later, yeah?" He said with his thumbs-up as he darted off to another table to tend to other customers. I gave him a grin in return and looked over at my paper in hand.

"Before I forget..." Ethan spoke and looked at me, "...don't," was all he said and waved his finger at me.

"Don't what?" I asked confused.

"Don't go paying our food for us again," he frowned. I sighed, knowing myself that I was going to do exactly that before he reminded me. I noticed how Annabel was just mindlessly sat, gazing around the area. "Are you okay Anna?" I asked her.

She shot her head at me, "oh, y-yeah, I'm fine. It's just that, it's been so long and it feels weird being here again..." her voice fades as she looks down at her lap.

After a while, we finally have our orders ready, we just needed to wait for Liam to get back again. Our conversation started with how we felt about the party last Friday. Well, not exactly the best topic to discuss actually. Annabel was still sensitive about my question to her during the game. And Ethan, well, he seems to be somewhat acting weird about Jackson giving him a peck on the cheek.

"Well isn't this a coincidence," we heard Liam's voice. I looked over from the corner of my eyes a noticed a familiar customer. Annabel looked shocked.

"Look over there bro," Liam said, pointing his thumb towards our table.

"Oh, Ethan...Anna? Noah?" Brad said, looking both surprised and perplexed at the same time.
