As soon as the class ends, my friends and I decided to go to a nearby café to order some pizza.

"Hey, Ty! Hold up." I shouted across the hall. He paused along with his new found friends.

"Yo Sis. What's up?"

"My friends and I are planning to go to a nearby café for pizza, perhaps you and your friends would want to come?" I asked.

Just then Jake came around, snaked an arm around my waist and grinned "Sure thing, sweetheart." I rolled my eyes at him and looked at Tyler questioningly.

"Are you cool with it guys?" Tyler asked his friends. They all nodded in agreement.

"Okay, let's go," Jake said and started pushing me towards the door.

"Let go of me, Jake." I glared at him.

He grinned and let go of my waist, went ahead of me whistling. I shake my head. That guy is really something else.

Ten minutes later, we arrived at the café and ordered pizza and fries. While waiting for our food to arrive Jake kept pulling my hair.

I turned to look at him and said, "Will you stop it?"

He just grinned and continued what he's doing. Our friends were looking at us amusedly.

"Okay, that's it," I said standing up. "Stephen be a sweetheart and change seats with me? Please?" I pouted at him.

"Uh.." He looked at me undecided then looked at Jake then at me then back to Jake. I raised my eyebrow then turned to look at Jake. He immediately has that poker face. So, I put on my best puppy dog eyes and looked at Stephen without saying anything.

Stephen tried to avoid looking at me but I kept my eyes on him. He started to fidget on his seat.

"Hey, that's not fair!" He exclaimed. I kept on looking at him with my puppy eyes.

He sighed and then stand up. I grinned and immediately switched places with him. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Jake frown but when he noticed that I was observing him, he immediately smirked at me. I rolled my eyes at him then turned my attention to what Andrea was saying.

"The girls and I were talking about that carnival in the other town. You want to come?" She asked me.

"Sure. I think I haven't been one for a long time." I answered.

"What are you talking about?" Jake asked.

"We were talking about the carnival next town" Andrea explained.

"Oh yeah. I heard about that from one of my classmates. They said they have some cool rides." Rodney said. "Why? You're planning to go?"

"Yes," Becky answered.

"And you didn't even think of inviting us?" Rodney said in a hurt tone.

Becky rolled her eyes and said "Of course you're invited, dummy. Who else is going to drive us from here to there?"

We all laughed at her comment. "Geez. And here I thought that you would love to spend time with me. I missed you too, you know." Rodney said.

"Aaw" We girls exclaimed while the guys said "Yuck".

We then proceeded to teased Becky and Rodney about it. Then laughed when they started blushing. After some time I looked at my watch and noticed that it's 5 o'clock already.

"Hey guys, I hate to break this up but Tyler and I need to go," I said as I gathered my things. Tyler looked at me questioningly so I pointed my watch at him.

"Oh shit! I forgot!" He exclaimed. I laughed at him and noticed that our friends were looking at us weirdly.

"It's Tyler's turn to cook tonight," I explained.

"What?!" "Really?" They all asked.

I laughed and said "All of us takes a turn in cooking. Our parents had always taught us how to be self-sufficient. So, whenever their work keeps them away from us for several days, we can still manage on our own."

"So, what days are your assignment?" Jake asked.

"Wednesdays and Thursdays," I answered.

"What is your specialty? He asked again.

"Filet Mignon. Why?" I asked back.

"Really?" The rest of the guys asked. They all looked at Jake then at me.

"What?" I asked bewildered.

"It's his favorite dish," explained Julie.

"Oh. Well, you can come anytime during those days and I'll cook for you." I said.

Then they started laughing. I wanted to ask what is so amusing when Tyler interrupted me. "We really need to go Chris." I nodded and waved them goodbye.

"See you guys tomorrow. Bye."

"Bye." They chorused. Jake stood up and went with me. I looked at him and raised my eyebrow. He smirked. I shrugged and went to my car. Jake opened the door for me, leaned on my window and said "See you tomorrow Chris. You better keep your promise. I will collect it one of these days."

I rolled my eyes at him and said: "I always keep my word, Jake." He grinned and stepped back from the car. I turned the ignition of the car and drove off.

As I was driving away, I looked back at my mirror and saw Jake watching me leave. I shake my head and laugh to myself. That guy is one weird person.
