Javier thanked his housekeeper as she place breakfast on the table but his eyes were trained on Jessica out on the balcony who was arguing with her brother on the phone.

He had managed to convince her to tell them about the stalking but now looking at her upset expression he wasn't sure it was such a good idea.

He watched her storm back inside and plaster a piece of toast with jelly without even looking his way.  The vicious bite she took out of the bread told him to give her time to cool off.

As he reached for his own piece of toast he was startled at her sudden angry outburst.

"The nerve of those boys acting like women are defenseless and needs a man to come to their rescue!"

As he watch her waving the butter knife angrily he wasn't sure if he should be offended,  concerned or amused.  Something told him if he was amused he better not show it.  Not with the state she's currently in.

"The call didn't go well then?" he asked

"Go well my ass." she scoffed

"Language." Javier told her gently then regretted it when she dropped her knife and scowled at him.

"Don't you language me!" he tried not to laugh at her poor imitation of his voice.  "This is all your fault!" she accused

"How is it my fault?" he asked surprised.

"How is it my fault?" she mocked him angrily.

This time he couldn't resist the light chuckle that escaped.

"It's not funny!" she cried

"It is a little bit." he said still chuckling.

"You're the one that told me to call them.  Now they're in their over protective mood.  They want me to come home.  They're acting like you can't protect me!"

Now he definitely wasn't laughing.  Having her brothers think her can't protect her stung just a little bit.

"They're wrong though.  I can protect you." he told her.

"No shit Sherlock."

This time he didn't bother correcting her.  He could see she's not in the mood.

He got up and walked around to her side of the table and pulled up a chair. He picked up her leg and gently started messaging her foot. She closed her eyes on a sigh and started to relax.

"Feel better?" he asked

"Your hands are magic." she replied

"Why thank you." he said smiling.

His smile grew when she popped one of her eye open to peek at him.

"I love you in this mood.  You're more relaxed lately." she told him.

"That I am. I have everything I need.  I'm living life on my own terms and I don't have to try all the time to be perfect. Sometimes I wondered why my parents left I use to think it's because I wasn't this perfect son that they wanted.  Then with Isabella she was always trying to change me,  turn me into who she wanted so I again assumed I wasn't perfect enough for her. I use to drive myself crazy trying to be perfect for everyone,  trying to please everyone.  In trying to please everyone this time you got hurt. When... " his voice trailed off not wanting to talk about that day.

"I know." Jessica told him as she reached for his hands.

"I really am sorry." he told her.  "When I saw the broken look on your face it almost crushed me.  I knew I had to choose. I was already use to losing everyone in life but the thought of losing you was devastating. I know I hurt Bethany but,  I can't please her without hurting you. She's.. She was my friend, but to be honest I lost her the same year I lost Logan and Isabella. Logan isn't who he use to be, he's a better guy now,  stronger.  Bethany... I don't know but I'd rather lose all this." he said motioning to the house around them.  "If it means I can have you. I'd never let anyone hurt you. If they hurt you they'd hurt me too."

Javier leaned into her touch as she stroked the side of his face.  Her touch was like a drug that always calmed his nerves. She taught him that, you don't need someone to complete you. It's best to accept that you're good enough on your own. Finding someone that compliments you as a person and help you to be a better you, that's what true love is suppose to be.

He went on his knees before her a cupped her face between his hands.

"As long as I have you. Starting over is alright with me. You make me feel like I can do anything I set my mind to. I think I understand how your brothers feel, I know I would put myself in the line of fire to protect you so it's had to believe someone would do the same. They love you,  I love you. We don't want to lose you." he told her.

By now Jessica was silently crying. The happy tears trailed down her cheeks. Javier brushed them away then he brushed her lips with his own in a light kiss.

Then she leaned into him and the kiss took on a meaning that only they knew. It was a kiss that said they understand, they agreed,  they're on the same page. They've forgiven, they're moving on. A kiss of acceptance, a kiss as a symbol of a toast to their future. The kiss was love.

They only broke away staring at each other,  adoration in each one's eyes when they heard the phone on the table ringing. Javier reached for his phone that Jessica had been using earlier and answered the call.

"Sanchez here." he listened "We can make it for that time yes." he listened some more. "I'm sure she will be happy to help." he listened "Thank you officer we will be right there." he hung up.

"What's going on?" Jessica asked him.

"They have Roger in custody.  They need you to come in an identify in from a line up." Javier told her.

"You'll be with me."

It wasn't a question so he smiled and kissed the side of her head

"Every step of the way."

They showered and got dressed and soon were on their way downtown to the police station. When they got their they were immediately escorted to a room by the same officer who had done the questioning.

"They can't see you back here so no need to be scared.  Just say his number and we will take it from there." she told Jessica.

Javier held her hand for support. He felt her tense up when a line of men appeared in the next room on the next side of the glass. Her grip on his hand got tighter but he didn't mind in the least.

"Number 3." Jessica told them.

Javier looked at the man she had identified. He had a distant look and a creepy smile on his face.

"How ironic,  this is his third offense. I'm pretty sure this time he won't get off so easy." the officer told them.

"He's done this before?" asked Javier

"Yes. He preys on beautiful women.  Follows them around. The camera thing was new though,  he must have really taken an interest in Jessica here.  He won't bother you anymore,  I'll make sure of it."

They thanked her and then they left.

"How do you feel?" Javier asked Jessica as they stepped out of the station.

"Better.  Like Christmas came early. " she told him

"Jessica!"

They turned to see the officer rushing out of the station.

"We got him,  he just confessed." she told them.

Javier watched as Jessica ran towards the woman and hugged her. The officer was no doubt surprised but she returned the hug.
