I instantly regret asking Tate to bring me here.

"Tate I cant go in there. Not like this" I say putting my hand on his arm.

"I'll be right next to you the entire time" he says smiling at me.

"I can't. Please can you just go look for her." I almost beg

"I dont even know what she looks like?" He says turning to me.

"She has brown hair and light skin plump lips a-" he cuts me off mid sentence "and so does 60% of the school come inside" He says intertwining our Hands "Come on lets go" he pulls at my hands "Nooo" I moan pulling back.

"Look you can wear my hood and come in and find her with me" he says taking his jumper off and passing it to me.

I take the jumper and nod my head "In and out. No socializing." I say putting the jumper over my head.

Mmmm it smelt like him.

He runs around to my side of the car and opens the door for me.

I hesitate before getting out of the car.

"Come on crabby pants" he says tickling my sides.

We walk down the footpath towards the house. Each step we took the louder the music got.

"Tate I don't-"

"Elena you are going to be fine" He says putting the hood over my head and his arm around my shoulder "Lets go" he says opening the front doors to the house.

"Hey Tate!"

"Sup man"

"Tate"

Multiple people call and greet Tate.

I roll my eyes and walk off to look for Mar.

"Hey hey where are you going" I feel Tates hand graze mine.

"Im going to look for Mar" I reply

"I thought we were looking together" He asks

"No im fine ill go look you wait here" I reply walking off and mixing in with the crowd

"Elena? Elena!" I hear Tate call after me but I ignore him and continue to march forward.

•RIVERS POV•

"Hey River" I hear Audrey call from behind me.

I groan and hoist myself up from the couch I was sitting on.

"What is it" I ask taking a sip out of the red solo cup I've been nursing.

"I heard your brothers here" she takes my cup out of my hand.

"So" I say scanning the crowded room

"He showed up with that freak," she says disgusted "Lets have some fun" she bites her lips and begins walking off.

"You in" she says turning around.

I exhale and roll my eyes "I guess" I say following behind her.

I wasn't interested in whatever Audrey was offering but this Party was starting to get very dull.

She walks up to her posse of followers including Klowi.

I slowly walk towards them and lean against the wall next to Isaac.

"Lets play a game" Audrey says gathering the 8 of us in a circle "Truth or Dare'' she says looking directly at Klowi.

"Truth" she smiles as though she didnt look like a chicken.

"Okay...Mmmm" Audrey says thinking.

"Would you do Mr Ryan or Mr Beck" wow great question.

"Mr beck" Klowi says gigging and smiling at me like I cared.

"Your turn" Audrey says rolling her eyes "Okay" Klowi basically squeals.

"Okay isaac" she says smiling "If you had to be with one girl in our school for the rest of your life who would you choose" She says smirking "Mmm..polygamous or monogamous" he asks folding his arms actually putting thought into the answer "Monogamous" she replies.

"Easy Freaky Lenny" he replies not able to hold back the laughter that followed.

Everyone else laughed aswell.

"It's all in the name" he says bumping fists with Ashton.

"Freak. You got that right" Kaylee says eyeing freaky Lenny as she weaves through the crowd.

Seriously this girl just loved drawing attention to herself.

"I wonder why she wears that thing" Brianna says tilting her head.

"I heard she wears it to cover up burn she got from her mom when she was little" Klowi says probably making that bullshit up

"I hear she's totally deformed and tries to cover her ugliness" Kaylee says giggling

"I heard she's so ugly people would laugh just looking at her and got bullied really bad at her old school" Dallas one of the other guys who was sitting with us says probably laughing at the thought

"why don't we find out...I dare you to take off freaky Lenny's hood" Isaac says snickering

"Wtf im not doing that" I say watching her take every step with care as if she was going to break something.

"Why not" Audrey says smiling.

"Cause my brother has this weird charity case shit going on with her and he will be fucking pissed" I reply crossing my arms.

"Aw scared of your big brother are you" Ashton says quivering his lower lip "Atleast im not whipped" I counter as dallas and Isaac start making whip noises.

"Isnt that your brothers jumper shes wearing" Klowi says looking at the jumper closely to see Tates number printed on the back.

"I will rip that hood right off of her head" Audrey says basically going nuts.

"You're really gonna let her take your dare. Weaaaaak" Isaac says mocking me.

"Fuck off man" I say making eye contact with Audrey.

"Do you like her or something cause if you do just come right out and say it. Actually give me your phone. Have you been messaging with her and you've just been using your brother as a diversi-" I roll my eyes at Klowis constant complaining and arguing and begin making my way through the crowd.

"Oh shit hes actually doing it" I hear Ash from behind me.

I roll my eyes not seeing what the big deal was. So what she was ugly was that going to change their lives.

I stop right behind her and reach out.

Here goes nothing.

I flick the top of her hood off causing her to freeze.

Blonde.

Hmmm suprising.

I expected Freak Lenny to be more of a...Dark hair, dark eyes, dark circle kinda girl.

I stand there waiting for her to turn around.

I guess curiousity got the better of her due to the fact she slowly began turning around.

Everyone who had been surrounding her were now able to see her exposed face.

They all stood there wide mouthed.

Guess they weren't lying about her "unattractiveness". I just wonder which story was true. I laugh and smirk looking back at the other guys. I cant believe I actually did it.After years of being invisible Freaky Lenny was now exposed.
And I was the one who exposed her.

I turn back to her with her face still almost completely turned away from me "How does it feel to have your little bubble burst" I whisper in her ear laughing to myself.

That was until she turned around "How could you River" The words leave her lips and she runs off before I can process what they meant.

"Ce-Cecelia Oh shit! CECELIA" I call out running after her.

"Cecelia" I practically scream at the top of my Lungs as I search every single one of the rooms in this fucking house "CECELIA" I yell as loud as I can causing a group of people to look at me. I angrily run my hands through my hair before running back down the stairs.

"Woah woah Dude" a guy I think was on the football team says stopping me "was that really Freaky Lenny?" He asks smirking. I hated that name. This whole time people were calling her that. They were actually calling Cecelia that. I was calling her that. God I was a asshole.

In a moment of rage I hook him across his face and contiue to barge through the crowd.

The only person I felt like punching right now was my fucking brother.That prick kept this a secret from me for 4 months.
For 4 months he knew she was right under my nose amd didn't say shit.

"Elena!" I hear my brothers voice shouting from the kitchen.

I run into the kitchen looking for him. I make eye contact with him from across the hall. Next thing I know I'm tackling him to the ground and punching at his head "How long have you known" I scream at him between punches.

"Known what" he screams back attempting to hold my wrists."This whole fucking time I told you how I fucking felt about her" I break free of his grip and continue punching him.

I keep going and going until I see blood.
Not even that stops me I was so mad.

"RIVER STOP YOU'LL KILL HIM" I hear Audrey scream from the kitchen door "Fuck off" I respond still punching him.

"River stop" And just like that. I stop.
I look up to see her flowing blonde hair and chocolate brown eyes.

"I-" Im at a loss for words still so overwhelmed and confused by the situation.

She gets on her knees.

I smile hoping she was about to talk to me but instead she turns all her attention to Tate who was now bloody and bruised on the kitchen floor.

"Tate?" She says her voice now shaky "Tate" She says with a tear dripping from her eye. I feel tears forming in my eyes. I hardly ever cried. But knowing i'd hurt her was hurting me.

"Lia i-" she cuts me off "You've done enough River just go get me a towel, wet it with warm water and ring it out" she says not even looking at me. Without a second thought I quickly do as she asks.

I return with the towel and she takes it once again not looking at me.

She held Tates head with such care as she lightly wipes the bloody away aswell as more of her own loose tears.

"Tate are you okay" she asks softly "Mhmmm" he replies nodding "Can you get up" she asks still holding his head.

"Mmmm no" he replies with his eyes still closed "River could you help get him up" she says looking back at me.

It felt weird seeing her here. Like this. Away from the island.

"Uh yeah" I say snapping out of my thoughts."Where should we take him" she asks like I was supposed to know.

"Wheres his car" I ask hoping she'd know.

''Its out the front" she replies helping him walk while I just supported most of his body weight.

"There" she points to the part in the driveway furthest from the house.We walk all the way to the car and load him into the back seat.

"So what now" she asks from the other side of the car.

"Cecelia I-" I begin talking but she cuts me off "Can we do this another time I really wanna get home" she says with a deep exhale.

"And how are you getting home" I ask raising a brow "I thought you were driving" she says handing me the keys.

"Im drunk" I reply tossing them back

Normally I wouldn't mind considering my vision was about 18/20, but no way was I driving her while I was drunk.

"Well how'd you get here" shes asks.

"Isaac" I reply

"Why dont we just go with him?" She asks still refusing to look at me.

"Hes drunk as well and probably going to be crashing here" I would be too if she hadn't shown up."For gods sake is anyone not drunk here" she say in a tone I'd never heard from her before.

I sit there racking my brain trynna figure out how I'd get her home. "You're not drunk?" I say 80% sure of my answer.

"I know but I can barely drive and my house is almost 10 minutes away from here" she says underestimating how far her house. Probably because she barely drove but her house was a good 30 mins from this side of town.

"Dont worry we have a pad near by. The roads should be clear enough for you to drive and we can all sleep there. i'll drop you off home in the morning" I say throwing the keys back over to her.

"I need to call my mom and let her know" she says sounding worried.

"I dont have my phone on me but you can use the phone in the house when we get there" I say getting into the car.

She stands outside the car for abit before getting in "Okay but if I crash its not my fault" she says turning to me.

"You wont crash" I put my hand on her leg to re assure her "Okay" she exhales and moves my hand from her lap. Ouch. She takes one last look at Tate and exhales deeply.

She turns the car on and turns out of the driveway.

"Which way is it" she asks looking left and right like she were taking a drivers test.

"Left" I reply. She nods her head and turns left.

Its all smooth sailing until the red and blue lights of doom begin wailing behind us.

"Fuck" I say as Cecelia pulls over.

The officer takes his time walking over to window.

He taps on the glass and Cecelia Winds the window down.

"License and regre- Cecelia is that you" the officer says leaning down into the window.

"Hi Daniel" she says shyly.

"What are you doing here? Wheres Sergio" who was Sergio?.

"He uh he took the night off" she replies tucking a strand of loose hair behind her ear.

"Well you have a good night. And tell your father Gina and I said hello alright. Sorry for the trouble" And with that the officer leaves and walks back to his car.Wtf was that?

"So where do we go from here" she says starting the car back up as if that were completely normal.

"Why'd that cop let you off back there" I ask as she nears the house.

"Uhmm" she looks into the rearview "Dont worry about it".

"But like w-" she cuts me off "is this the house"

She says pointing at our pad "Yeah" I reply.

She turns into the street a little rocky "oops" she says.Which makes me laugh a little at how cute and innocent she was.

I could tell she wasn't completely confident with driving yet...or at all.

She kills the engine and almost runs out of the car.

I get out of the car and pull my keys out "Come ill unlock the house for you and uhh ill come back and get him while you call your mom" I offer as I walk up the steps. She follows quickly behind and we do exactly that.

I unlock the house and disable the alarms. I show her the phone in the kitchen before I running back out to get Tate.

I lift him up the stairs and drop him into his room. literally.

"Cecelia" I call looking around the house wondering where she was.

"-I know. Im sleeping at Augusts ill be home tomorrow morning" I hear her in the living room. August? I assume she was talking about Ashton's sister.

"Okay bye. I love you" I hear her say before hanging up.

I smile as I walk into the living room.

"Did you want a-"

"I want to sleep" she says handing me the phone and looking at the floor.

I grab her wrist and pull her towards me "Lia I've missed you like crazy" I say kissing the top of her head.

"River I really want to get to sleep" I stare at her for a while thinking about how much she must hate me right now. I nod and choose to respect her wishes.

I hold her for a little longer before taking a deep breath and walking her through the house.

"You can sleep in my room and I'll sleep in Isaacs room," I say opening my room door for her.

There was no way in hell I was letting her sleep in Isaacs room while she was wearing Tates jumper.

"Everything alright" I ask just making sure since she was still frozen in the hallway "You sure I won't catch anything from that bed," she asks looking sceptical of my room.

"Trust me this is sort of our batcave, this is a boys only house. So technically im breaking the rules just for you" I laugh but apparently, she doesn't find it funny. She just nods and gets into the bed.

"Night" I say walking out not wanting to make her uncomfortable "Uh river" I hear her sweet voice call me back.

"Yeah" I turn around and lean against the door frame. Damn.  I could watch her all night, and once again I sound like a stalker.

"Do you have another shirt? This one smells like alcohol" she was still wearing that stupid jumper.

"Oh yeah of course." I walk over to my dresser looking through each of my shirts.

I find my favourite little league shirt from when I was younger in my top drawer. I smile and pass it towards her.

I also pass her a pair of my shorts assuming she'd be uncomfortable wearing jeans to bed.

I leave her to get dressed "Uh River...Thank you" she smiles at me from the bed

"No worries" I wink at her.

I walk into Isaacs room. Take my shirt off and fall asleep.
