"Just terminate the contract Ms. Son" She started. They're inside Mina's private room. She really wonder how the girl could suck up staying with her. But one thing for sure she's affected by it because the ever cheerful assistant can't anywhere be seen.

"I won't princess. I stand by my words" Determination on her eyes, Chaeyoung stayed adamant to her promise.

"Let me be frank to you. I am no angel that everyone thought I am, I killed many people, I smuggle illegal things, I cuss whenever I want to, I'm rude and I'm seriously going to add killing assistants to that" Each words carries a weight to it. Chaeyoung look straight to her eyes. Unafraid, even with what the girl said.

"First, you are not an angel but I don't need an angel to serve my loyalty. Second, I know you killed many but you don't kill children that's innocent and one more thing, you kill for a reason princess. Third, yes you smuggle illegal things and you're doing that for your group. I don't expect you doing good as a yakuza. Fourth, you cuss when you're pissed and you're not rude every time. Lastly, I don't really mind being added to the list for you if that makes you believe on my loyalty." She ended her speech with a smile. Mina is skeptical to her answer. Chaeyoung then proceed to continue.

"What I mean is that you're human and if you are good with everything then that won't make you human at all. We're all imperfectly perfect. We have different bad doings and I am in no place to judge. I do see good in you princess. Please don't treat yourself hard for that." She added. Mina couldn't believe her ears when she heard Chaeyoung's resolve. How could this person think of her as such. Mina is confused why she was so patient to her. What did grandfather told her. She thought. It takes Mina to notice her rapid heart beat. She's feeling this way since that incident on her door.

"Don't blame me if you have a change of heart. It takes great sacrifice being with me Ms. Son." She took a folder from her drawer and gave it to Chae. It's her schedule.

"I won't and I know princess" Determined, Chae took the folder and reminded herself to memorize it later.

"Good" Mina is still reluctant about the girl but she decided to trust her. If her grandfather trust her assistanct she might be worthy of it. Still the matter about leaving Japan wasn't an option.

She decided to stop her plan and just go with the flow. Since she knew that sooner or later seeing such horrendous things don't need such plan. It'll take a toll to the cub just like how it did to her. Being by her side is tough enough.

Laying by the matress, the two figures is cuddled to each other.

"You think our baby cub will be okay?" Nayeon was worried for Chae. She knows what Myoui Mina does and she could only pray for their cub. Jeongyeon is worried too but she knew better, the cub was a walking angel herself. The taller woman leaned down, kissing the forehead of her wife to sooth her from worries.

"She will. She's tougher than any of us" Jeong reassured. Nayeon could only agree to her and snuggled closely to her neck. Jeong chuckled to her lover.

"Shouldn't we get ready? I thought you have work" Her wife grunts and won't budge from their position.

"Ani Mr. Myoui let me have the day off. He said he'll be somewhere private" She answered in a muffled voice. Jeong smiled to the thought that she could finally have her wife all day.

"Then should we eat now? I'm hungry" Jeong slightly pushed Nayeon away from her to see her face. The bunny has her eyes still close, pouting and wanting to sleep more. Jeong can't help but kiss the lips of her beautiful bunny. That earned a gasp from the older woman.

"You didn't" She frowned, knows where's this going. Jeong could only smirk.

"Yes I did" The doctor switched their position and hover above her wife. Leaning in to recieve her breakfast.

A week passed. Chaeyoung could barely meet her best friends for the reason that she needs to attend to Mina. The other two doesn't have a choice but to understand the situation of the cub.

"Dubunie I miss Chaeyoungie" Yoda slumps to the sofa. Tired from the touring they just had. Dahyun could only sigh for she too misses the cub.

"I'm so used to your face that I don't want to look at it" She nonchalantly said. Dahyun acted like she's hurt.

"Yah! you ungrateful yoda. Get out, this is my room" She pouted, sulking to the side. Chewy rolled her eyes to the older's childish act. Dahyun was the one who paid for their trip and hotel and Tzuyu knows she's using that card.

"Then please return your piano to me after we come back" After sayung her piece, Dahyun's eyes widened. She loves that piano the girl gifted for her and so she cleared her voice and gestured a sorry that earned a smirk from the Taiwanese.

"Seriously Dubu I miss her" Dahyun taking the sincerity in her tone tried to do something.

"Let's face time her" She suggest. Yoda agreed and they sat together calling a certain cub.

"Yoda! Dubu! I was going to call but you beat me to it" She snickered. Chaeyoung answered just as fast as they call.

"Yah odiga?" Dahyun asked while holding the phone. Chae is inside her room walking her way to bed.

"My room" She answered. The two was oblivious to the pain the woman is having. They can't see the limp arm of hers. Chae tried to hide the pain but a groan escaped from the intense throb, obviously she can't.

"Chaeng are you okay?" Tzuyu who noticed first asked.

"Yes I just.. tripped" She lied. Chae don't want the two to worry but she knew better that tripping wasn't her thing.

"Oh be careful there" Dahyun is worried for the younger one. As her best friend, she knew Chaeyoung is a careful person and seeing her hurt is weird enough.

"Yes mom. How's your day?" She changed the topic. Still felling string of pain coming again from her bruised arm. She tried her best not to show it.

"Now that you ask that we actually--" Dahyun was cut off by a knock on Chaeyoungs line.

"Who's that?" Dubu asked. Chae shrugged not knowing who's visiting her room on this hour.

"I'll call you later Dahyunie Chewy" Before Dahyun could response Chaeyoung ended the call that earned a gasp from the older woman. Yoda could only blink to what just happened.

"Did she seriously do that?" Dahyun who's still not convinced, let out a scoff. Yoda gave her a blank stare then shrug.

Opening the door, she didn't expect a certain penguin standing in front of her.

"Pr-princess do you need something?" She stuttered. Surprised by the fact that Mina is in front of her looking down on her limp arm. She look down too, realizing why Mina is staring at it.

"Ohh uhm I'm fine-" Before she could answer Mina went inside her room without saying a word. She then entered the bathroom and went out with a kit in her hand. Chae could only watch her in awe.

"Sit" Mina ordered which she silently obeyed. She sat in her bed waiting for further instruction. Mina sat beside her and opened the medicine kit. She grab the scissors and cut the sleeve where the injured arm is.

Chae made a mental note to buy a new white long sleeves next time. Seeing the huge dark violet red circle in her arm made her gasp. She didn't thought it'd be that swollen.

"Why did you not tell me?" Coldness wasn't leaving her voice but Chaeng understands. Being with the devil for a week have its perks. She learned that the heiress wasn't really that heartless after all.

Through out the week they attended business meetings, gatherings and so much more related to business world. Then the next day they'll have to hunt or have negotiations with other yakuza or mafias. Anything outside the legal world. It's actually crazy to see such things. Fights, gunshots, swords, fires, blood, you call it. But there are times that they'll stay low and calm. Chae is starting to get used to it she knows that Mina has it harder. To manage both things must be tiring to her. Chae could understand why the girl builded a thick wall to protect her well being.

"Princess It's not a big-- sorry" She didn't finish her sentence since Mina sent her deadly glare already, making her submit immediately.

"Ms. Son as far as I want you to do your work I don't want an injured assistant following me." Mina started to tend the bruised arm of the cub by applying ointment to it. Chae, was baffled by the princess's behavior. She didn't know this side of her, besides the fierce heiress she follows.

"Princess I can do that" Chae wanted to protest but the same glare sent by the same pair of eyes gave her chills again. She can only gulp and succumb to it.

"Stop calling me Princess when it's just the two of us, Mina is okay" The penguin said without sparing a glance to the surprised cub. Chaeyoung don't have an answer for that. They sat in silence while Mina is putting an ice pack on her injured arm. 

Chae smiled to the improvement of their relationship, even barely but it is there. The younger girl could see that the cold lady is starting to trust her which is a good thing.

"Also, why did you do that? You can just tell me to avoid. It's not necessary to hurt yourself" Mina then look up to her eyes. If she didn't know the girl she'll think of this as Mina worrying about her.

"Oh that- well..."

Flashback

They're inside a club with some of Mina's men. Looking for a certain bald man who have a large amount of debt to them. They found him flirting with a girl on the far end of the room. Seeing them coming, he tried to escape but then realized that it's futile to do so.

"Ojou-sama have mercy on me" The man begged on his knees in front of Mina. But the girl remains solemn and cold. She then lifted her right arm and one of her men handed her a katana. Removed the sheath from the blade and point it on the man's neck. The trembling man could only pray for his life. 

But suddenly, a stone came with a great force towards Mina's direction. Sensing it, Chaeyoung rushed to her side and covered Mina with her arm. Mina got surprised by the action and immediately turn to Chaeyoung who's clutching her arm. Seeing what happened, Mina was mad. So mad that she immediately finished the man in front of her thinking it might be his allies doing.

The men alerted by the scene, started to search the place for the assailant that wasn't found.

End of flashback

"My body just moved on it's own. Like uhm.. Instinct?" She answered, uncertain about it. Chaeyoung is interested about the safety of her benefactor than her own.

"Good instinct then" She complemented with her monotonous voice. A week with her gained a privilege to Mina's rarely soft side. The devil is seldom on complimenting someone and she's blessed enough to be one of those few.

"But Pri- I mean M-Mina who would do such thing to you?" Chaeyoung is still new to the name. Mina then started to arrange back the med kit.

"I have many competitors and enemies on both side Ms. Son. It's not a surprise to have someone aiming for my head" She said like it's a matter of fact. Chae understands that too and she's worried for the heiress's life.

"You can just call me Chaeng or Chaeyoung, Mina" Her name sound so good to speak. She thought.

"Then Chaeng I want you to take better care of yourself. As I've said I don't need an injured assistant following me around." Mina then stood up which Chae followed after.

"Hai Mina-sama" She bowed slightly. Walking her to the door, they stood there for some seconds, just staring at each other and feeling awkward. At least, that's hat Chaeyong felt.

"Goodnight little tiger" It's hard to point what the heiress is thinking with her same serious expression. She's really good in masking her emotions, as well as her rapid heart beat.

"Thank you Mina and goodnight too penguin-san" Chae cracked a wide smile showing her dimples. Mina can't stop the tug in her lips and smiled timidly. Surprisingly the cub's presence don't bother her anymore. She's starting to grow fond to the said assistant of hers. Even having feelings of worry for her.

The ice is starting to melt...
