Honestly, I wanted to see their kids too.

How the truck did you guys assume that I wasn't going to introduce the kids to you.
*narrows eyes.*
Anyways, It hurts to see them all grown up and married.
╥﹏╥
------------

I smirked at Princess, while raising the glass and giving him a small nod.

'Cheers to that stupid rule, pighead.'

Zack clenched his jaw and raised an eyebrow, tilting his head to the side for extra effect.

My smirk widened.

Aah. The satisfaction I feel. He can politely get annoyed and entertain me.

Currently we were at a party-but-not-really-a-party. Something like a get together.

After that drinking and speeding incident, Zack said I wasn't allowed to have alcohol for as long as he wishes.

Not that I want to.

But you see, making people mad and annoying them has been my hobby for a long time.

So I did what a normal Evvie would do. I got myself a shot and smirked at pighead, successfully getting on his nerves.

He nodded to what the man on his side said, but kept his glare on me.

A challenging glare.

I scoffed and raised the glass to my lips and took a small sip.

Ew.

His grip on the glass he was holding tightened, to the point the already visible veins on his hand became more visible and protruding.

He clenched his jaw and dismissed the man beside him quickly.

Abort Abort!

He strode towards me, his expressions turning darker with each step he took.

I tried hard to keep the unbothered act and smirked at him.

Putting the glass on the counter behind me, I leaned against it and crossed my arms.

He approached me, slowing to halt so close to me that our shoes touched.

"What?" I asked, tilting my head to the side, innocently. He scowled and bent down a little, putting his hands on the counter behind, trapping me between his arms.

"What did I say about alcohol, Nerdy?" He asked, a scowl making its way to his face.

I batted my eyelashes.
"Not to consume it. Oh well." I shrugged, pouting at the end.

I stared at him awaiting his reaction but he did nothing for a moment.

Now that he was so close and his cologne hit my nose, I wanted to swoon so badly. Thank goodness, I leaned against the counter before.

Zack moved a little and a glass appeared in his hand. He gulped down the drink and put the glass down with a clink.

"That was my drink, pighead." I scowled, punching him lightly.

"But I just drank it and now you're going to stay by my side all the time, drinking water only. No non-alcoholic drinks either. Oh well." He replied sarcastically.

"That's so mean." I huffed, flipping my hair back. His gaze lowered to my now-bare shoulder.

Oh yeah. I was wearing a pretty dress and high soles.

He stared at my shoulder with a small smirk.

His hand came to caress my collarbone, before he froze and snapped out of it, biting his lip. He hand lowered to rest on my waist before he looked up into my eyes and smirked.

"How about you accompany me to that room over there?" He asked, quietly, almost making my knees give out.

He had the audacity to smirk when I turned red. I gulped and tried to say something, but nothing came up.

"No, thank you." I said, my voice barely above a whisper.

"Come on, Nerdy." He said, touching my temple and slowly sliding his finger down, stopping it at my collarbone again.

God! This is scary. And hot. No, scary. Ugh. I don't know.

My stomach flipped when his hand, that was on my waist, wrapped around it and pulled me closer. He leaned down to place a kiss on my collarbone, making me squirm.

It tickles.

"What do you say?" He asked, pecking my lips.

"There are people around, pighead." I grumbled shoving him away. He just chuckled at my failed attempts.

"There are adults around, Nerdy." He corrected. I gulped again.

"So?" He asked, tilting his head and giving me that innocent smile. "Do you want to?"

I looked down shyly and whispered a small yes. His smile widened, before he stepped back and led me to the room he was talking about.

Not that I don't like it. But as the great Evelina Romano, all I want to say is, Ew.

-------

"You what?" Zack yelled, looking at me wide eyed.

"I'm feeling like throwing up and your ugly face isn't helping?" I said, adding the last part this time.

He can't hear things if there isn't an insult in them.

"When did you have your period?" He asked, grabbing my shoulders.

"Last month. Bestie's late this time." I shrugged and continued eating.

"Oh God!" He gasped and stepped back. He looked at me wide eyed and jaw-dropped for two years straight. When he snapped out of it, the sour candy I was eating had expired and he had earned himself a scolding.

"Let's go." He said, suddenly.

"Where? I want to relax today." I said, yawning.

He clenched his jaw and grabbed my arm, unexpectedly gentle.

I stood up and furrowed my eyebrows.

Is this trucker possessed?

--------

Zack paced the room nervously, biting his nails. I just fidgeted with my ring and tapped my feet on the floor.

Oh God! This can't be happening.

"Don't worry, Mr. Smith. I'm sure the results will be positive." The Doctor said, trying to calm him down.

"No!" We snapped suddenly, shocking her.

"She can't be pregnant!" He exclaimed, pointing towards me.

"I agree." I said. "This angry Gorilla is too much to handle. Poor baby."

I pouted. I can't get pregnant now. We're not ready.

The doctor was about to say something after she snapped out of her shock, but Zack cut her off and continued his rant.

"She's still a kid. I'm still raising her. How will she manage to give birth to a baby? I'm not a stay-at-home husband either." Zack started freaking out. "How will she take care of a kid and herself? She can't take care of herself."

"And I'm a working woman trying to handle this old mosquito. Besides, I ate too much. Poor baby must be crushed under all the weight." I said, pouting at my belly.

"It- it doesn't work that way." The doctor looked at me weirdly.

"Can you stop thinking about it?" Zack snapped at me, about ready to rip his hair off.

"When a man is stressed and decides to act like a b-word to his wife, he's either suffering from lack of hugs or lack of punches. Which one is it?" I glared at him.

He took me to that room. He started it! He is to blame here.

"That works the other way around too. Why don't you answer it?" He said, equally annoyed.

"Will you both calm down?" The doctor said, looking between us.

"We did use protection." He mumbled, trying to figure out how this happened.

"It fails sometimes, Mr. Smith. Rare cases." The doctor said, apologetically. I sighed.

Zack sat down beside me with a huff. He pouted while running his hands through his hair.

"It was this tomboy's fault anyways." He muttered.

"It was your fault!" I snapped. "My innocent butt didn't beg you to-"

"Shut up!" He snapped, before I could say something inappropriate. He glanced at my belly and took a deep breath. "I mean, stop talking."

Woah. I didn't know he could talk so softly.

God! I don't know what to expect. How will we take care of the baby if the results were indeed positive?

I tapped my foot more violently.
"Tell us the results already." I snapped, biting my nails.

"They'll be ready in five minutes, Miss." Doctor Jane said, a little annoyed.

I slumped down in my chair.

Zack turned his head towards me and sighed.
"How are we going to take care of the baby, Nerdy?" He asked, sadly.

We want kids. It's just not the time. We have to be ready for it and clearly we're not. We're still adjusting to everything. The work, the weekend visits to families and our life together. We're still trying to strengthen our relationship, although it is strong enough in our opinion. We haven't planned it. Heck! We haven't even talked about having kids. We can't bring a baby into our chaotic life.

"I don't know, princess." I said. "But I know I'm not ready to be a Mom yet."

"I know, Nerdy." He said, leaning towards me a little to peck my lips. "But if there is a baby..." He put his hand on my belly. "I'll try my best."

We sat in silence waiting for the results.

Having a baby won't be too bad either. Zack has always been good with kids. But he's right. We're still kids ourselves.

I held my breath when the papers were handed over to Doctor Jane.

Oh yeah. Zack didn't trust me with a pregnancy test. That's why he dragged me to the doctor.

She flipped through the reports and sighed.

I leaned forward just when Zack did, looking at her expectantly.

This may change our-

"It's negative." She said, smiling sadly. "You were just being paranoid."

I released a breath, feeling a dull pain in my chest.

This was what I wanted, right?

I didn't want a baby right now. Zack wasn't ready either.

I was half happy and half disappointed for some reason.

Be happy, Evvie. Poor baby would've entered an unplanned life where anything vould happen at any time.

"Thank you, Doctor." Zack nodded his head at her politely. He took my hand in his and stood up. "We're sorry for the violence." He said.

"Hope to see you later, Doctor." I said, smiling sweetly.

She smiled.
"Hope to see you when you're ready." She said.

We walked out, with me still fidgeting with my rings.

"Why does it feel so sad?" Zack broke the silence in the car. "Like we're literally mourning. Can we like go back to our original selves?"

"I don't know. I feel sad. We didn't plan to have a baby yet." I shrugged. "But it still hurts."

He put his hand on mine.
"Do you want it?" He asked, rubbing his thumb over the back of my hand.

"I don't know." I groaned. "How will I give time to the kid when I can't even give time to myself? We're almost never free and we have a messy life. You fight like a kid." I said, accusing him at the end.

"We'll think about it." He smiled, calming my nerves. Just his smile is enough.

-------

One month later.

Zack walked out of the room, with wide surprised eyes. He muttered something while standing in the hall, something like a pep talk and entered again.

He did the same 'staring at everything' again and rubbed his eyes.

I held back a giggle as I sat on the couch.

There was a cake on the table and balloons all around the room.

"What? What are you up to, this time?" He narrowed his eyes.

"I'm not upto anything, Daddy." I emphasized the word, making him gasp and stumble back. He leaned against the wall for support, so he doesn't fall down. He looked at me flabbergasted for a long time, which I spent nibbling on the cake.

He was taking too long so I started eating to pass time.

He snapped out of it and cleared his throat. Standing up straighter, he rubbed the back of his neck. His face was red as he stammered for words.

"I-" He stopped for a moment. "I didn't know you were into that." He mumbled, quietly, not looking at me.

Ew. This unholy trucker.

I scowled and removed my shoe. He ducked to avoid it hitting his head.

"Innocent people here, pighead." I said, giving him the most disgusted look I could muster.

"Oh?" He tilted his head, the red tint on his face fading slowly. "You're not innocent when-"

I cut him off.
"I'm pregnant." I said. He doesn't need to complete that sentence.

It went still. A deafening silence overtook us as Zack tried to comprehend what I said.

He glanced at all the balloons and baby decorations.

"You serious?" He asked, quietly. Before I could retort to that with my famous line, I saw a little moisture in his eyes.

I smiled as he looked around then finally landed his gaze on my belly.
"I'm going to be a Dad?" He asked, approaching me slowly.

"Yes." I nodded, smiling at this trucker.

Last time's events made us realise how much we wanted kids. No matter how much we said, we didn't want them at that time, it still hurt. A lot. Dad said, you can never be ready enough to have kids and everything falls back in place with time. Hence, we're here.

One month later, we've decided we want a baby and we've made enough arrangements for it.

"That's why there are toys outside?" He asked, pointing towards the door. I nodded, rolling my eyes.

"I'm surprised how you didn't guess it after seeing them." I scoffed.

He rolled his eyes this time.
"My wife is a baby. I thought she ordered them for herself."

I stuck my tongue out at him. He crouched down before me, rubbing his hand on my belly.

Something seemed to hit him, as he froze and looked at me.
"Did you go to the doctor?" He asked.

"I did the test at home." I said, scowling at this idiot.

"Let's go." He said, getting up. I attempted to stand up, but he clicked his tongue.

"Nuh uh. Keep your butt on the couch." He said, while I looked at him with confusion clear on my face.

He walked out and came back a minute later with a jacket.

Oh.

He put it on me before sliding his arm under my knees and the other under my back, picking me up bridal style.

"You can't be serious." I muttered. He shrugged.

-----

"Uhh... Hey Doctor." I said, poking my head in. Doctor Jane looked up abruptly and sighed when she saw me.

I entered with a sheepish smile as Zack followed me inside.

"It's just been a month, I guess." She said, furrowing her eyebrows.

"We're ready this time." Zack said, smiling.

Her own smile appeared as she studied both of our faces.

And that's how we got here, sitting on the chairs awaiting the results.

"Congratulations." Doctor Jane said, looking at our happy faces. "You're pregnant."

I bounced in my seat happily, causing Zack to put his hand on my shoulder and give me a stern look. I stopped bouncing and pouted.

Zack smiled and took the reports in his shaky hands.

He shook his head.

"We didn't know how much we wanted a baby." He said, when Doctor started consoling him.

I put my hand on his shoulder.
"Don't cry, princess." I said, with tears of my own in my eyes.

He hugged me tightly for hours, being extremely gentle. Something new from him.

Thanking the doc again, we walked out of there. Well, I was picked up, Zack walked out.

Zack hummed to the music as he drove, looking happier than ever.

Meanwhile, I called Nathan, Max, D-trip and the girls. Basically all of my friends. To spill the tea.

"Dudes, hold your diapers." I said, creating enough suspense before actually getting to the point.

"Spill it already. I'm working." Max snapped, causing me to roll my eyes.

"I'M PREGNANT!" I shrieked.

That was followed my silence.

The silence was followed by three 'YOU WHAT?'s from the D-trips, Shrieks from the four girls.

"I'M GONNA BE AN UNCLE?" Nathan yelled.
"I'M GONNA BE A GODFATHER?" Max yelled at the same time.

"YES." I said, excitedly.

We talked and shrieked for a long time.

We reached home and I hung up, because they were all on their way.

Zack helped me climb out of the car, even though I didn't need it. He picked me up bridal style again and started walking inside.

"You're going to make me lazy." I scowled at him. He looked down at me and shook his head.

"What I'm doing is non-negotiable." He said, simply. "And if you try to protest..." He narrowed his eyes. "You're going to witness the wrath of a newborn father."

I smiled, although I wanted to keep scowling at him.

He's going to be a great father. But how will I be a good mother? I don't know anything.

I sighed when he sat me down on the couch. He shrugged off his coat and came to sit beside me.

Pulling me into his lap, he rubbed his hand over my belly, smiling softly.

"You're right. I'm hungry." I rolled my eyes.

"Mom's so annoying." He said, to my abdomen. "Right baby?"

"Dad is an idiot. Right baby?" I asked and just then my stomach growled. "See? Baby agrees." I said.

"This baby is going to be like Scooby." He rolled his eyes, pointing to the fact that Scooby almost always takes my side.

Speaking of, where's-

Oh yeah. I hear the pawsteps.

Scooby came running into the room. He prepared to jump on me like always when Zack put his hand on his face and pushed him back.

Scooby sat down looking at us with confusion, I guess.

"Mom has a baby here." Zack pointed to my belly. "She needs hugs and cuddles but no wrestling."

His tone became stern at the end.

Scooby looked at him for a moment before letting out a bark of agreement.

I don't know if he understood.

Instead of wrestling me, which Zack taught him long ago, Scooby rubbed his nose over my belly then put his paw on it softly, looking at me through his puppy eyes.

I smiled wide.

"Aww... My cute baby." I said, leaning forward to kiss Scooby, who was ready to lick my face off.

"Nuh uh." Zack pulled me back. "Dad gets the kisses first."

Scooby growled at him and put his head in my lap. His teeth were still bared as he looked ready to pounce on Zack.

I laughed at Zack's expression which were a mix of amusement, fear, jealousy and I don't know what else.

"I'll cuddle with you later, Scooby." I said, touching my forehead on his.

I turned towards Zack and pressed my lips to his.
"You're going to be a cool Mom." He said, in between kisses.

Oh yeah. Scooby was watching us again, like every time. We're kinda used to it by now.

"You're going to be an old man, I'm sure." I scoffed, putting my hand on my belly, just for him to put his on top of mine.

"One cool parent is enough." He said, wisely.

"Nah. You're wrong. If you try to scold my baby, I'll throw you out." I said, before leaning in again.

A door slamming open and shut made us pull away and Zack to put me on the couch softly.

"WHO DARED TO KNOCK UP MY DAUGHTER?" Dad yelled, barging into the living room.

"Oh god." I muttered, when Dad grabbed Zack's shirt collar and lifted him up. Zack looked at his scary face wide-eyed.

Me too, pighead. Me too. I've been on the receiving end of that glare a thousand times.

"Dad." I rolled my eyes. "We're married."

He forgets that important fact sometimes.

His head snapped to me as he tried to process my words.
"Right." He said, like he suddenly remembered and lowered Zack and adjusted his collar.

"My bad, son-in-law." Dad said, putting his hand on his shoulder.

"Don't worry, Dad-in-law." Zack replied.

"Where's my baby?" Leo sang as I heard the front door open again.

As always, Will and Leo showed me with hugs and kisses. Although Will looked at Zack with disgust.

Yes. Zack still has to go through all the disgusted looks, my brothers throw at him. He's used to it now.

"Auntie Evvie." Enzo cheered running towards me. I chuckled when he hugged me and kissed my cheeks.

"Am I going to be a big brother?" He asked. I nodded, shooting a sweet smile towards the little angel.

"Can I have a little
