Evelina's POV.

"Let me out, you little cockroach." I yelled kicking my door.

"No." Luciano chuckled from the other side.

This trucker just locked me in my own room.

I got my phone out and called the person who can help me. Who is stronger and can snap Luciano's neck and hide his body too.

"Get out my way, Leo." Luciano gritted, after about ten seconds.

"Give me that." Leo said, before I heard a thud.

My door opened another ten seconds later.

"Aww... Are you okay, baby?" He said, in a baby voice.

I looked at his hands and furrowed my eyebrows.
"Leo..." I was already giving him a deadpanned look. "Where are the keys?"

"In the lock." He turned around. "Shit."

Just then, Luciano slammed the door shut and locked us both in.

"Great." I rolled my eyes, shoving the dumb hacker away.

I called Elonzo next. I don't know if he's home or not. That's why I didn't call him first.

"You okay, baby?" He asked, as soon as he picked up.

I sighed dramatically.
"Luciano locked me in my room and when Leo came to get me out, he locked him in too." I whined, pouting, although he couldn't see me. "I'm pouting, by the way."

Elonzo chuckled.
"I'll handle it." He hung up.

Yes please. Throw that grumpy away.

Luciano's phone rang.
"Yeah?" He said.

Silence for a while.
"Yes, Elonzo." He said. I could hear the fear in his voice.

He unlocked the door, with a click and I heard him already walking away. I walked out quickly.

"Little baby snitched." He yelled, mocking me.

"It took just one call for you to wet your diapers, Luciano." I started laughing, hearing Leo howl with laughter as he walked out too.

"Shut up, idiots." Luciano yelled, before vanishing.

------

"Come on, piggy. That's enough." I said, when he grabbed too many snacks.

Leo was generous enough to give me a piggy back ride. Or according to him, I was bossy enough to get one.

"Okay Okay." He said. Most of my brothers were out with Dad and Grandpa, finishing work, so they could all be here by the time that b-word reaches here. They're all home now, awaiting his arrival, which can be any second now, if he's punctual.

"Why do you think he's coming?" I asked, before putting the candy wrapper in his ear.

"Hey! Behave yourself. This piggy does not tolerate misbehaviour." Leo said, slapping my hand away and throwing the wrapper away.

"Okay. Chill, piggy." I said, laughing.

"I don't know. We'll find out soon though." He said, showing the fear he'd been hiding. He's insisted on being with me, after he found out why Luciano locked me in my room.

"Guess we'll find out sooner." I said, when the doorbell rang.

Leo groaned. Grandpa opened the door, Dad and Elonzo standing close behind.

"Antonio! My brother." Grandpa's older brother exclaimed loudly, as soon as he opened the door.

What was his name again?

"Good evening, Brother." Grandpa said, nodding his head.

I jumped down as Leo turned around to take me somewhere away, I guess.

"Come on, baby. Let's go." Leo muttered, urgently.

Too late.

"Ah! The princess." Mr. B-word exclaimed.

Leo glared at me, before moving forward himself.

Is he insane? He's not the princess.

I walked behind him, putting my head up, looking that piece of trash straight in the eyes. The three men were looking at me worriedly while the older brother was scowling at Leo.

"Good evening, Mr. Romano." Leo said. My head snapped towards him.

Sometimes, I forget we're not related. He calls everyone in my family, like I do. He calls Dad 'Dad' and Grandpa 'Grandpa'. And he's family. But maybe this witch doesn't know that.

He just hummed in response, eyeing Leo. This pig is being rude to my brother.

"Good evening." I said, reluctantly. I don't know what to call him. My brothers don't call him anything, except the two b-words, sexist and many more names, I can't list.

"Your Granddaughter is rude." He said, frowning at Grandpa with a disappointed look on his face. Like telling him how his child misbehaved.

How so, 'what Luciano calls you'?

"How so, brother?" Grandpa asked, raising an eyebrow. "She did greet you."

"Did you not notice the lack of respect, Antonio?" He asked. I clenched my jaw.

"No, Brother. I didn't. She was respectful enough." Grandpa said, still polite, keeping his temper in check.

His brother just shook his head. Before he could say anything, Dad cut him off.

"Let's just sit and talk." He said, before leading them towards the living room. "Go to your room, Evvie."

I shrugged and grabbed Leo's hand, pulling him with me.

"Let her sit with us, Stephan." The b-word ordered. I froze.

Truck.

"She's grounded to her room, Uncle." Dad said, his voice coming out colder than I've ever heard it.

"What else could I expect from little brats?" He chuckled, like that was the funniest thing he's ever heard.

I wonder how they're tolerating him till now. My second meeting and I already want to claw his throat out.

"She's not a little brat, Grandfather." Elonzo spoke for the first time after he greeted him. "A kid. A kid who makes mistakes."

"A girl who has you all wrapped around her little finger." He corrected, raising an eyebrow at Elonzo.

Elonzo clenched his jaw and was about to say something, when Grandpa squeezed his shoulder. Elonzo, being a wise guy, understood and stayed silent.

I just frowned and ran up with Leo following me.

"I hate him." I groaned into my pillow, while Leo did the same into the other pillow. We were both laying on my bed, sulking.

"Me too." Leo said.

"Why does he have to..." I stopped, looking for the right word. "Degrade me so much? He can simply ignore me, if he doesn't like me."

"Because you're the most independent and happy girl they've seen. They can't bear to see females happy. That's how it is there. They love degrading women and keeping them at the men's feet, as they call it." Leo said, sighing.

"Disgusting people." I muttered.

"When I first met him, he came to visit like this. When everyone got up and greeted him like 'good evening, grandfather.', I thought I should do the same. Because I was used to calling everyone what Elonzo and the others called." He said, picking his head up. I had my head turned to look at him.

He frowned.
"He didn't like the fact that Grandpa and Dad were keeping an 'Orphan' in their house and that they were okay with me calling them Dad and Grandpa."

"He was like, 'That's Mr. Romano to you. We're not related.' The look on his face made me doubt myself. The Romanos are like a royal family, after all. I thought I was trying to fit somewhere I didn't belong." He stopped, now turned towards me, with his elbow supporting his weight.

"And then?" I asked, frowning.

"Then Elonzo smacked my head and I came back to my senses." He said, chuckling. I started laughing too.

"Nice. Your dumb brain could've made stupid decisions." I said. He has a stupid decision factory too.

"Yeah. I've always called him, Mr. Romano after that. Who wants to call him grandfather anyways?" He said, shrugging before laying down again. "I'm going to sleep now."

I nodded. He was laying on his front, already half asleep.

The audacity of this trucker.

I picked up his arm and moved myself under it. He chuckled sleepily, not opening his eyes. He wrapped that arm around around me and pulled me towards him.

"Goodnight." He muttered, before going to his I'm dead, alive but dead state.

"Goodnight, dumbbutt." I said, before letting sleep overtake me.

------

"Wake up, babies." Someone said, shaking me. I shoved them but got shoved myself instead. They didn't move when I pushed them.

"Ugh. Elonzo, let me sleep." I grumbled.

"Me too." Leo said, hugging me tighter.

"No, get up. Dinner's almost ready." Elonzo said, pulling me away and into his arms.

Jokes on him. That just woke up Leo who glared at him, annoyed. I just cuddled up to him and almost fell asleep again. But before I could, Elonzo stood me up.

On my own two feet!

I whined, before leaning forward, so my cheek was squished against his bicep.
"Can I skip dinner?"

"Want to change that question?" He gritted in a low tone.

I gulped.
"Of course. What's for dinner?" I asked, looking up to give him a sweet smile to calm him down.

"Nice save, Baby." Leo muttered as he got up and walked to the bathroom.

Elonzo pushed me towards the bathroom and left after I was standing inside the bathroom, pouting at myself in the mirror.
"Be in the dining room in 5." He called out before leaving.

"I want to sleep." I whined, leaning against Leo, who was just done washing his sleepy face. He helped me wash my face and was now putting my hair in a bun.

"Done." He said, looking me over. "You don't look sleepy at all." He exclaimed.

"Yeah. Okay. Let's go." I yawned, grabbing his arm and pulling him to the dining room.

I entered the living room to find Grandpa at the head of the table.

Elonzo was at the other head and two chairs to his sides empty. Everyone else was already seated.

"You're on time." Dad smiled, from where he was sitting, to Grandpa's right, across from the b-word.

I just smiled in return and walked towards the empty chairs.

As soon as I sat down, Elonzo leaned forward to whisper,
"You're gonna be happy."

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. I didn't have to wait long before I fell unconscious.

Truck. My head is spinning from so many delicious smells hitting my nose all at once.

"Wow." I said, closing my eyes and taking a deep breath.

Elonzo chuckled. I opened my eyes and gaped at the food being set on the table.

"Thank you." I said, as the maids put the food before us.

My mouth is watering.

Just as I was about to take my first bite though, someone stopped me.
"What?" I asked, scowling at my twin.

"Before you go into your eating frenzy, I'll have to remind you to eat just enough, so you can digest the desserts too." He said, as formally as he could.

"Okay." I nodded before diving in. This is delicious.

Elonzo chuckled, before extending his arm to pick up the tissue box.

"The baby's going to make a mess." Luciano mocked, smirking at me.

I slapped Elonzo's hand away when he tried to wipe my mouth.
"I can do it myself." I hissed.

"The baby will still need assistance." He mocked again.

This witch!

I clenched my jaw and narrowed my eyes.
"You're stepping out of line, trucker." I said, quietly. Dad, Grandpa and the sexist pig were talking about business.

"Shut up, dumbass." He said. Elonzo glared at him. Before he could scold him though, Luciano continued. "Oops. Sorry. Shut up, dumb-diapered-ass."

Now that is enough.

Before I could throw my fork at him, Elonzo spoke.

"Knock it off you two." He scolded in a low tone and low volume. "If I hear one more curse word or one more insult, we're gonna have a conversation in my office." He gritted. We both nodded and went back to eating, not before sticking our tongues out at each other.

Before eating, Elonzo cleaned the mess I'd made on my mouth. I protested but one glare and I shut up wisely.

Okay. Just focus on the food, Evvie. Don't focus on killing brothers.

This book is going to end soon.
I can't tell exactly how many chapters but this starts the last 'set of events' that will take place.
I haven't finished writing it yet, so I don't know how many chapters this book will have.
