Evelina's POV

"Evelina Romano. Get down here right now." Elonzo yelled from downstairs.

"My head hurts." I whined, loud enough for him to hear me.

"Let's go see a doctor, then. You'll have to come down either way." He said, as I noticed his voice moving closer now.

"Will is a doctor." I said, before adding. "Almost."

I heard footsteps and ran to hide in my closet.

"Nathan is waiting." He said, using the blackmail card. "You know he needs it. You need to go for him."

Not cool, brother. Not cool.

I remained silent, not wanting him to find me. After about two seconds, I heard him sigh.

"If I have to come get you, baby, you won't ever leave this house again or have any electronics. Except for the therapy, of course."

Okay. That threat scared me. But nothing I haven't heard before.

"No boyfriend for two months." He tried again.

Now THAT unreasonable and cruel threat, made my sarcasm take charge.

"What about no ice-cream for two months?" I mocked, knowing he has me and my not-so-serious ice cream obsession as an excuse to meet his girlfriend without the brothers knowing. He's been extra careful after that incident, because our siblings smell something fishy after he lost control like that.

If someone finds a remote, please return it to me. I lost it and now I have no control over my mouth.

Within a second, I was standing before Elonzo, looking anywhere but at his cold green eyes, that were currently glaring at me.

"Uhh... I'm a little late. I gotta go." I said, sheepishly and speed walked out of there, before he could even touch my ear.

I don't want a mobile ear.

But I wasn't fast enough, I guess. Because seconds later we showed up near the front door, with him dragging me by my ear, while I whined and clawed his hand.

"Why do you have to pull so hard?" I whined, while he just clenched his jaw still angry with the whole situation.

"Because you don't seem to move fast enough on your own." He stated simply in a low tone.

"Oww.. But it hurts." I whined.

When will we reach the car?

"Then do as you're told the first time I ask you to and don't throw a tantrum or fake a headache just because you don't want to go." He gritted.

Oh! So many offences?

"You know Nathan will not go, if you don't. Also, none of us cares if we're forcing you. You don't feel well, you see a doctor. End of story. Your stubbornness is not getting in the way. A therapist is what you need and you're getting one. Call me a villain or whatever."

Yes, this man, also known as, 'I'm the boss. Don't even look at me disrespectfully and don't ever disobey me' kept lecturing the whole way.

We reached the car and when he finally released his grip, I felt something fall to the ground.

Yes. My ear fell off and now I had a mobile ear, that could be put somewhere to hear what was being said, without being physically present there.

Cool!! I can be a spy. Pew Pew. Special agent Evelina, present with her ear.

"Mean." I huffed, rubbing my ear and glaring at Elonzo, who just shook his head and got in.

I stomped to the car and threw myself in, with Nathan already sitting on the other side, smiling at me and Elonzo. Both of us had a scowl on our faces, making it clear we just fought.

"If you slam that door.." Elonzo trailed off, raising an eyebrow at me through the rearview mirror.

Like hell I would.

Haha. I was planning to do just that.

I did just that. Both of my brothers expected it, because none of us even flinched.

Elonzo turned around to glare at me, looking very angry. Keyword: Very, multiplied by a thousand times.

"Try that again." He gritted, slowly and in a dangerously low tone.

Okay. This is happening too often now. But if I can't almost beat him to death, without getting my ear pulled and sitting in the corner, might as well take it out on things.

'Right. Good going, sister.' The voice in my head said.

'But that glare is making me want to hide and never come out!!' I yelled in my mind.

I gulped and my eyes widened in fear. My twin was feeling the same, even though the anger wasn't directed towards him.

Alright. I know what's the wisest thing to do.

I crossed my arms and looked him dead in the eyes, before raising an eyebrow.

He clenched his jaw and turned back around abruptly, about to open his door.

He's going to kill me as soon as he reaches me!! Why the truck am I so reckless to play with my life like that?

I panicked and yelled a fine, stopping him. He turned to glare at me again. I opened the door and closed it softly this time.

What? The glare literally shook me to the core. If I wasn't a brave and cool princess, I would be trembling on the spot.

Elonzo hummed in approval and turned back around as I finally released the breath I was holding.

"That was scary." Nathan mumbled. "I don't know how you manage to not tremble under that look."

"That's called talent, Nathan." I said, smugly while looking at Elonzo's now emotionless face.

How can someone be so scary yet loving?

We stopped at a light. Elonzo looked at me and smiled sweetly.
"You're cute." He mouthed, referring to the incident before. I scowled.

I put my fist before my face, in the air, so he could see the back of my right hand and knuckles. I put my other fist beside it, like I was holding a handle. I rotated the left fist, like rotating the handle, simultaneously pulling my right middle finger out.

I was halfway through when his smile dropped and he glared at me, raising an eyebrow, challenging me. I smiled sheepishly, before rotating the handle in reverse direction and putting the middle finger back in. I showed him finger hearts instead and smiled sweetly.

He just shook his head, a soft smile on his face and started driving again.

"If I find out you threatened the therapist, you will regret it." Elonzo said, when we reached the small clinic he chose for the purpose. "And I don't want to hear you were rude and disrespectful."

"Okay, Dad lite." I said, rolling my eyes.

"Keep that attitude in check, little girl. You really woke up this morning with the goal of getting on my nerves."

"Whatever, Oldie. Wait till Grandpa hears about this." I said, glaring at Nathan accusingly, who just shrugged.

He's the reason this is happening. Him and his stupid condition of dragging me along.

"Let's just go." Elonzo said, getting out as we followed. "I don't know this person personally, just so you two know, you have full privacy and he is safe for you."

"Not like I'm gonna say anything." I mumbled, which Elonzo ignored.

"It's a he?" Nathan asked, in relief.

"Yes, Nathan." He said, before turning to me. "If you're not comfortable, baby, I can arrange a female therapist for you."

"It's okay. I got rid of that fear ages ago." I mumbled.

"Just making sure." Elonzo said, visibly relieved.

Ugh. I don't wanna do this.
I looked back towards the car, contemplating whether to just run away.

I felt someone grab the back of my shirt and pull me with them.

"Don't even think about it." Elonzo said.

I groaned.
"Can't we trick Nathan into believing I'll talk to the therapist after he's done and ask him to go home while we go eat ice-cream and meet Anna."

"Don't you even think about trying to use Anna to get me on your side. Do you really think I will let this chance go?" He said. "I've been trying to persuade you for too long."

He released his grip and bent down to my level. I pouted.
"Tell me now, if you're really not ready." He said, softly. "If you really can't go through these sessions and hopefully get better."

I stayed silent.

I am ready. Its not like I'm gonna pass out if I talk about it. I just don't want to look pathetic, crying over something that has passed, more than one and a half year ago.

"Alright." Elonzo said, when I zoned out and took too long to answer.
"So I was right." He muttered more to himself, than to me.

I touched my forehead.

Is it transparent here? Why the truck does he have to read my thoughts?

I groaned, as he dragged me in while I crossed my arms and pouted, a scowl on my face.

We waited for a while. There were almost no people here.

No surprise there. He doesn't want to expose us and he wants to make sure we have enough time and not have a therapist who is in a rush due to so many appointments.

When Nathan was about to enter, he hesitated. After thinking for a moment, he turned around to look at me.

"Can we go together?" He said, looking at me, nervously.

"Of course." I said, instantly. I looked at Elonzo, who nodded smiling softly.

"Okay. Love you. I will see you after the session." Elonzo said, giving us both a hug.

Nathan opened the door and entered. I entered behind him and shut the door softly. The room was warm and inviting. There was a desk and some chairs placed on its both sides. There were couches and a coffee table that tempted me to get comfortable on them and sleep.

I looked around and saw a man sitting behind the desk. His dirty blonde hair, styled perfectly. He was young. He looked at us and smiled before getting up and walking over to us.

"Hello. I'm Peter." He said. I smiled.

I swear if his last name isn't Pan.

"Hey." Nathan said, softly elbowing me. I just waved my hand a little.

"Are you both going to be here during each other's session?" He asked.

"I'm doing it alone. Nathan doesn't need to add on to his own." I said, with finality in my tone.

His wounds are fresh. I can handle myself. But he's too vulnerable right now.

"Okay. Whatever you're okay with." He smiled warmly.

I feel like I'm going to like this man. He's just so warm and friendly and familiar.

That doesn't mean I'm talking about my past with him. I already vented it out. I don't need to again.

"Okay. Why don't you wait there while we start the session?" He asked me politely, bending down slightly to talk to me like a little kid.

"Okay." I said, before going to sit on the couch. I made myself comfortable. Nathan shot me a small reassuring smile before they started the session.

This. is. so. annoying.

The therapist was clearly playing mind games. Like he was asking questions that didn't even seem like they were related to the event, but when you thought about it, they were.

Nathan wasn't ready to speak to him today. Peter understood and moved the topic to lighter things, making small conversation, trying to make Nathan comfortable. He succeeded. Him and Nathan looked like friends for years, by the end.

"I'll see you on Friday, Nathan." Peter said, before I hugged Nathan and he walked out.

Before closing the door again, Peter turned to me.
"Do you mind?" He asked, looking at me. "There's no one out there, we can keep it open."

I nodded and he kept the door open, smiling warmly at me. I love that smile.

But Truck Hayden! He's responsible for me being uncomfortable.

I took a seat before his desk and stared at him, bored.

I'm not gonna say anything, I'm not gonna say anything...

"How are you feeling?" He asked. My mouth fell open in shock.

His smile widened on seeing my reaction.

"Great." I replied shortly.

"Should I stick with Miss Romano or call you Evelina?" He asked.

"Evvie." I answered. He looked surprised, I was letting him call me by my nickname when he felt like he needed permission to call me by my first name.

"Okay, Evvie. Do you want to talk about something?" He said, putting his elbows on the desk and clasping his hands together.

"Is it okay if I say no?" I scoffed, rolling my eyes.

"Of course." He shrugged. I gaped at him.

Oh?

"Okay then. No." I said, before something came into my mind. I leaned forward on the table, while looking over my shoulder to check if Elonzo really wasn't there.

"Look. I don't wanna be here. We can come up with a deal, so you will leave me alone and pretend we're talking and you're 'helping' me." I whispered.

He leaned forward and said,
"I'd like to hear the deal." He whispered back.
