"What?" I asked, crossing my arms and glaring at Ben.

"Lets destroy school property." He said. Before I could deny, he said, "And its a part of your job."

"What job? I think I should resign." I scoffed.

"You can't. Or the kids will be killed. Not harmed, killed." He said, before motioning me to follow him.

I rolled my eyes and followed him. He held the door to the lab open for me. I walked in but he didn't.

I hesitated for too long.
"Do it." A voice sounded through the earpiece.

Enjoy till you can, you truckers.

I took a deep breath and picked up some things, before smashing them on the floor.

"Good." Anthony chuckled.

"What is happening here?" The new teacher came in.

And that's how they informed my guardian. I don't know who they called but I know I'm in huge trouble. They won't take any other actions, of course.

Ben left me on my own but smirked whenever he saw me, the whole day.

And all Anthony said was,
"There will be a lot of drama today."

"Elonzo wants to see you in his office." Will said, while I tried going upstairs, without any greetings or hugs. I can't stay around them, in case they blurt something out about the business.

"Okay." I said, sadly and walked upstairs. Throwing my stuff in the room, I walked to his office, glumly.

'No mafia calls. Please God.' I thought looking at the ceiling.

"Come in." I heard a very cold voice say, after I relaxed myself a little and knocked.

"Yeah?" I asked, taking a seat. This is scarier than the horror house. I may pass out from fear.

Act casual.

"Yeah? That's what you want to say? Why are we getting a call saying you damaged school property? Don't even think of saying you don't like the new teacher either." Elonzo said, in a no-nonsense tone.

I heard muffled laughter through the earpiece.

"So? Do you have to say something?" He asked, raising an eyebrow, while leaning back in his chair.

"Yeah. You're making a big deal out of it." Ben answered for me. "Keep arguing."

"Yeah. You're making a big deal out of it." I said, rolling my eyes.

This is a part I play well.
Keep arguing, smart mouthing, get in trouble, get yourself killed by a murderous glare.

I swear I could see the steam come out of Elonzo's ears. I gulped and looked down.

"Really? Then, enlighten me baby, how exactly is this not a big deal?" He said, crossing his arms.

"I don't need to give you a reason." I said, gritting my teeth.

"Don't you dare talk to me like that, Evelina Romano." He said, in a low tone, leaning forward, his elbows on the desk. "You're in enough trouble already."

"Can I go now?" I rolled my eyes.

Wow. I'm pretty good at acting.

"I don't think you're answering me properly anytime soon. So you can pick up your chair and go sit there." He said, snapping his fingers at the end and pointing to the corner.

I got up and sat there, digging my nails into my other arm, to stop myself from crying and sobbing.

"You know, this is so not like you. Yes, you may fight, prank and maybe even disrespect a teacher, only if they're unreasonable and taking it out on you, but you never try to actually damage school property. You could've gotten hurt today."

"And you may whine, yell or even blow up at me, but whatever you're saying today doesn't feel like you." He didn't even try to hide the sadness in his voice.

I bit my tongue.
Don't cry. Don't cry.

"The Capo is such a crybaby." Ben muttered, unnecessarily may I add.

I clenched my fist, about to punch the stupid wall, thinking its his face there.

Elonzo's phone rang. Normally I wouldn't even bother listening but today I was paying attention to every word he said.

Oh! Please don't be a business call. Even if it is, please don't talk in English.

I kept praying and crossed my fingers. I looked at Elonzo, who put his phone to his ear and his eyebrows furrowed while looking at the papers before him.

He was silent for a while.

"Tell them to arrange the meeting this friday. Its an important meeting, almost everyone from the alliance will be attending. I don't want any problems from our part." He said, in his business tone.

Ugh. Duck me already.

"Woah. The plan succeeded, Uncle. As I said, we got some information." I heard Ben mutter.

Just then, Elonzo made eye contact with me and raised an eyebrow.

I quickly turned around and gulped.

This can't be happening.

I mean, trucking hell Elonzo, you can't even make use of knowing Italian at the right time?

After about twenty minutes,
"You can go." Elonzo said. I got up and speed walked to the door.

"Wait." He said.

"What?" I asked, turning towards him.

"Your phone." He pointed to his desk. I got my phone out and put it on his desk, before running out before he can stop me again.

I can't tolerate this anymore. Staying away from them and avoiding everyone, is much more difficult than I thought. Its just been one day and I already feel like I've lost my mind.

I ran to my room, wishing I don't bump into someone. Locking the door, I sat on my desk chair and started doing homework, while again, pulling my laptop out.

They were most likely busy with the new information they got, because there was no comment on anything. Their mic was off.

Quickly replaying the footage from tomorrow, I turned on their mic.

"..are going to attend a meeting on Friday. The to-be-Capo is most certainly going. We have more than a week. We will explode their vehicles that day. The bombs are already set, the to-be-Capo is going to be killed and that is a big achievement." Anthony kept on going on about the plan.

I need to think of something. Ugh.

Our devices are hacked. Except my laptop of course. I'd know if it was hacked. They don't know what I can do, so maybe they didn't pay enough attention. But everyone else's phones and laptops are hacked. I can't even text them or something from my laptop.

From all the things I heard secretly. They focused on hacking Leo's laptop first, considering he's the mafia hacker. Leo set up another 'barricade' as I'd like to call it, on top of mine in my laptop. So I don't think mine is hacked.

Maybe I can write on a paper, or something. But if I go out, the camera's location will change but it will be showing my hands, writing. It will blow up my cover.

My brother's won't come to my room, unless I ask them to. That can't happen, because I have to stay away from them. These people will not be happy if I stay with them for too long. Too long for them is some minutes.

Uuggghhhhh.

'Stick to the plan, will you?' The voice said.
'Wait! Yeah! My plan. I totally forgot.'
'What a dumbbutt.' The voice said.

Quickly turning off their mic, before they find out, I started writing, after removing the footage from the live video.

With my left hand, I put the laptop down and opened my desk drawer.

"Do you really think, you're that smart?" Ben's voice was heard.

I jumped, startled.
"What?" I asked, nervously.

"Always studying. What a nerd." I released a breath I didn't even know I was holding.

"Whatever. At least I'm not an idiot like you." I muttered, before turning back to the task in hand, once there was silence again.

I put my hand in the drawer and tried finding what I was looking for, while keeping my back straight, to focus the camera on my desk only.

Today morning, I said, I had to shower and change. So Anthony told me to keep the chain somewhere where he can keep a clear view of me entering the closet and bathroom and so he can see the locked doors too.

Atleast he showed some decency, unlike Ben, who asked if Anthony could NOT allow that and make me take the chain with me.

Gross.

And what Anthony said was, Wait till we kill her brothers, you can have fun with her after that.

Again Gross.

I pulled out the glue bottle from the drawer and put it in my lap, while looking for my science kit in the drawer.

And there it was. Thanking my luck, I opened the box and pulled the small pouch out.

Radium.

Opening the glue bottle, with one hand, I emptied the pouch in it and mixed it, all while writing gibberish on the page before me. It wasn't legible through the camera.

"I need to shower." I said, after a while.

"Okay. Do what Uncle told you to." Ben said, half heartedly.

Creep.

I got up and hung the chain, so it faced the bathroom and closet door, after removing it from my neck. The glue bottle was in my pocket.

Quickly picking out my clothes from the closet, I started towards the bathroom.

They're dumb.

When I was finally in the bathroom, I sighed in relief.

This is the only way. I turned on the shower, to avoid the risk of being caught, then climbed up the sink.

With the radium glue, I started writing on the bathroom mirror. After drying, it wouldn't be visible in the light.

I still could've written on a paper or something, but what's the thrill in that?

Its so not cool. At least, using Radium is cool.

Okay. Second step.

I quickly showered and changed my clothes. Then, climbing up the sink again, I reached for the small bulb and took it out. Doing the same with the bulbs, around the sink, considering there were so many, I finally climbed down, quite happy with myself.

Romanos do have style. Grandpa would be so proud.

I left the lights around the shower, because it was dark enough around the sink, the message was visible, if you looked closely.

Turning the lights off, I yelled, not loud enough, to let my brothers know. That's not the plan.

After waiting for about three to four minutes, which was extremely hard because I was actually fighting a panic attack, I ran out. I was breathing heavily and sweating. Half pretending, half for real.

I went over to the chain, with my Mom's ring and that Camera on it. Hanging it around my neck, I reached for the earpiece.

"Jeez. Why did you yell, woman?" The idiot asked.

"First don't call me woman. Second, shut your trashcan. Very kindly and politely." I said, not so sweetly.

"Angel told us, you are very sweet and kind?" He said.

"You know, you're cowards, right? Using kids as pawns to win your game, which we both know you're not gonna win." I rolled my eyes and scoffed.

"I'll keep that mouth shut, if I was you, Evelina." He said, annoyed. "Now answer the question."

I smirked.
"The bulbs need to be changed." I said, simply. "They went off suddenly, so I yelled."

He started laughing.
"Haha. What a coward. You're the same girl who shows how badass she is just because she has a powerful last name, right?" He scoffed after getting over his fit of laughter.

"Yeah, Right. Shut up." I said.

Its your uncle's fault anyways.

"EVVIE, COME DOWN FOR LUNCH." Ryder yelled as I yelled a 'coming' back, intentionally too loud, causing Ben to complain again.
