"Listen here mister, you let me out right now. My brothers and Dad won't like it if you keep me here for a long time." I said, crossing my arms while glaring at the officer.

"You were caught driving past the speed limit, Miss. You didn't have your license either. We can't just let you go." The officer shook his head.

"Can I call someone?" I asked, hoping to get some help.

"Preferably an adult, who can cooperate with us in the procedures." He said, handing me my phone, as I fiddled with it, with shaky hands.

"Do I look like a child to you?" I scowled, hiding my amusement. "I'm married. I have a husband."

"Then we'd appreciate it if you called your husband, so he could show us your license and help with the procedures."

Okay. I walked right into it.

I'm so dead if Zack knows about it.

Maybe I can call Elonzo? Nah. He will kill me then make me come back alive, just to make me sit in timeout and kill me of boredom.

Maybe I can call Max and say he's my husband?

Yeah. I'm gonna do that. That sounds like the perfect plan.

"Hello?" I said, already doubting my plan.

"Evvie?" Max asked in a sleepy voice. "What happened?"

"Uhh.. Can you pick me up from the police station?" I asked.

"What did you do?" He asked, a hint of anger in his voice.

"I was caught speeding." I said, in a low voice. He still heard my 'barely above a whisper' voice.

"What the hell, Evvie? Are you serious? That's dangerous. How many times do we have to tell you?" He said, releasing an angry sigh. "Where's Zack?"

Gosh. I need Nathan. But he's in Italy for business.

"He's working late today." I said, before quickly adding, "Don't tell him."

"How many times do I have to save your butt? You know he finds out in the end." He said, sighing.

"Yeah. But I need to delay that as much as I can." I gulped. "You want your best friend alive and safe, right?" I giggled nervously.

"Fine. I'm coming." He said, before hanging up.

"Here." I gave my phone back to the officer and started pacing around. After tiring myself, I sat on a chair in the dark room and waited for Max.

Ten minutes later, Max had arrived, signing some papers and pretending he was my husband. He was glaring at me the whole time though. So I'm dead, I guess.

They didn't even ask for a license after he told them my name. Noice.

"I'm not going to save you next time." He said, smacking me on the head and started the lecture.

Speeding is unacceptable and dangerous. You put your life in danger and see how I kill you. Blah blah blah.

But I could see he wasn't that serious. He's almost okay with me speed driving, because its like a hobby but still scolds me, because he cares for my life. Yeah he did get real angry when he found out.

But Zack is a whole different case.

Max is my best friend, he's supposed to be in on the rulebreaking and all the reckless things I do.

But Zack is overly overprotective, if that makes sense. Once I fell down and hurt my ankle, and he took days off work to do everything for me. Didn't even let me use my hands to eat.

And it was a minor sprain.

But he didn't stop flicking me, or smacking my head or pulling my ear.

Just a pighead being confusing, I guess.

Not that I stopped punching him. I still punch him in the guts when I'm bored. Then we fight and make the house a wreck. Then we clean it up just to have an argument again and destroy the house.

He's so childish!

"Fingers crossed, he's not home yet." I muttered as we reached home.

Max laughed.
"I wish he's home."

I glared at him.
"I'll say my bike is at your house and I was too tired to drive back."

"Nice excuse. But if he calls me to confirm it, I'm going to tell him the truth." He said, smirking at me.

I punched him.
"I won't talk to you again. Not that I would live after he finds out."

"Bye. Be safe. But not too safe, cuz I want godchildren." He winked at my blushing self.

Yeah. The blushing is still not in control.

"Shut up." I said, waving at him and walking in.

Zack wasn't home yet.

Phew.

-------
Third POV.

"It's you again, miss." The officer said, shaking his head.

This time, she was caught speed driving while she was drunk.

She wanted to try drinking. Then she couldn't stop, so she was drunk.

"Yes." Evvie giggled. "Nice to meet you again. Your tummy looks bigger than last time. Are you pregnant, Mister?"

The officers behind him muffled their laughter, while he tried to hide his amusement.

"We called your husband." The officer said, shaking his head.

"Who? No. Don't call my husband." She said, suddenly wide-eyed. Even drunk, she was scared of the scolding she was gonna get if Zack found out.

'That pighead will chew my ear out.'

"We already did."

Evvie pouted and slumped in her seat. She didn't want to face Zack.

Max entered and the first thing he said was,
"Are you serious? You said, we'll try it together. You just broke the bro-code, Evvie." He said, offended. Evvie turned her head at the speed of light.

"They called Zack. He's going to kill me. I told them not to call my husband. But they don't listen to me. Tell them Max." She pouted at him, after she managed to slur all that.

She was sitting in one of the cushioned chairs before the officer's desk. She was a Not normal girl, who broke the rules. They guessed she was someone important looking at her attire and personality. Besides, if a businessman type looking man aka Max got her out as Evelina Romano last time, she must be important. They know that name. Hence, the special treatment this time.

"Is he not your husband?" They asked, because a few days back he was the one who signed her out.

"No. Zacky is my husband. Max is ugly. My husband is hot and handsome." She slurred with a dreamy smile on her face.

They turned to Max, looking at him accusingly.
"Her husband is actually Zack Smith." He admitted, already knowing they would have his number and call him to take the lady home. The lady who could not be put in jail again or they would have their heads cut off.

Zack owned almost all the clubs and hotels in the city. He had a huge business and was well known.

"Call Zack right now." Evvie ordered suddenly missing Zack. She was finding it hard to keep her eyes open.

"What?" Max asked, horrified. "Evvie, you're not in your right mind."

Before anyone could do anything, the officer picked up his phone, glaring at the two.

"Yes?" Zack said, picking up.

"Mr. Smith." The officer acknowledged. They knew each other as they met at some occasions.

"Is the record ready? The criminal record I asked for, last week?" Zack asked, from the other side.

"That is ready, Mr. Smith. I'll send it right away, but I'm afraid we have another problem." He said, glancing at Evvie, who was tracing patterns on the table and Max who looked at her with pity.

"Your wife was caught drinking and driving. Speeding past the limit. She was caught speeding some days back too and she called Mr. Anderson, saying he's her husband. I'm sorry, we didn't know you were her husband." He said. "We can let them go, without a procedure if you want, but you'll need to sign the papers, which we can arrange any time you want."

Zack was silent for a while, not quite believing his ears.
"Are you sure that's my wife?"

"Yes. Mr. Anderson confirmed it."

"Give the phone to him." Zack said, trying to hide his anger, as the phone was passed to Max.

"Yeah?" Max asked, cautiously, not to blow up the volcano already.

"You two are dead when I get my hands on you." Zack said, furiously. "You try to save her like that again and I will beat you to death."

"Okay man. Chill." Max said, chuckling nervously.

"Seriously Max. You're at fault in this too. Stop saving her every time. Lying to the police? Seriously?" Zack said.

"I'm sorry?" Max said, wanting this to be over with already.

"Next time you get involved in lying with her, I will forget we're even friends and torture you in ways you can't even imagine."

"Fine." Max said, almost rolling his eyes.

The officer took the phone again, when Zack asked Max to pass it to him.

"Put both of them in a cell or something. I'm coming." He said, simply and hung up.

And that is what happened. Now max and Evvie were sitting in a dark interrogation room, pouting at each other, arguing how it was the other one's fault.

"You're a big mouthed drunk, you know that? Just had to spill I'm not your husband. And now I have to face the wrath of that Hulk."

"You're still ugly." Evvie said, poking her lower lip out.

"About that, I'm also hot and handsome for my wife, who I'm sure will beat both of us for doing all this without her." He said, scowling at his best friend, who was about to get punched in the throat.

"Yeah. Your wife is a hulk lady, if Zack is a hulk." She said, sticking her tongue out.

She missed Zack but she was sobered up enough to know she was in huge trouble.

Meanwhile, Zack took his time leaving the office because he wanted them to be locked up for some time. So the ten minutes in which he could reach there, he took a good forty-five minutes.

--------

The door sprang open as the two prisoners stopped their heated argument. They were just about to punch each other in the throat or strangle each other to death.

They hurried to walk out of the dark and depressing room.
It was too silent and dim for their liking.

The guard shook his head in amusement when they pushed each other to get out first.

Evvie was still drunk and not in her right mind. That's why, when she walked out and saw Zack, a dreamy smile made its way to her lips as she adored him.
Something she never did, atleast not before Zack.

She tilted her head to the side, an adoring smile on her and rocked back and forth on her heels.

Zack almost melted at her cute actions. He was enjoying this kind of attention. But it doesn't mean he wanted her out alone in the dark, drunk.

Max tried shaking her out of it, because what he could see was Zack glaring at them, about to kill both of them.

He was sitting in a chair before the desk. The chair was not facing the desk. Instead it was facing towards where Evvie was standing. His one elbow rested on the desk while the other rested on the armrest of the chair.

His legs were crossed so his right ankle rested on his left knee. His tie was absent, the upper two buttons of his shirt were not done and his sleeves were rolled up to his elbows.

Hot as truck, as Evvie put it.

He sat there in all his 'I'm the boss' glory as he glared at two of his friends, one being his wife and the other being the godparent of his future children and her best friend.

He wasn't shocked when he heard about the whole thing. Evvie and Max were still kids. Max being somewhat more mature, but still a kid.

"Thank you, officer. Next time you find them doing something against the law, feel free to lock them up for as long as they deserve. Don't even bother calling me." He said, before standing up and shaking his hand.

He glared at Evvie, who seemed to suddenly snap out of it and stared at him wide-eyed, fear visible on her face.

"Both of you, in the car." He said, nodding towards the door, still glaring at them.

Max gulped and grabbed Evvie's arm, pulling her towards the car, because she wasn't moving on her own.

Instead, she pouted at Zack and put her puppy dog eyes on, basically asking him to kill them.

She's too drunk to remember those don't work on Zack, specially when he's this angry.

After walking out, Evvie suddenly stopped.
"Evvie." Max gritted as she dug her heels in the ground.

"No. I don't wanna go." She whined, trying to pull him back.

"That hulk is going to body slam you right here on this concrete floor." Max gritted, urgently, trying to get her to move.

Zack walked out only to see Evvie fighting Max while he tried to pull her to the car.

Max saw Zack and immediately let go of Evvie, knowing she'd cooperate with him. She'd have to, if she loves her life.

Zack moved forward and wrapped his arm around her waist and said,
"Let's go."

"No." She said, pushing him away. Zack stepped away, now glaring at her. He gave her one chance to cooperate.

"Get moving." He said, simply, clenching his jaw.

"No. I don't want to." She said, scowling at him. "You can't make me, princess."

He rolled his eyes, knowing how exactly he can make her.
"Oww..." Evvie whined, as Zack grabbed her ear and dragged her to the car.

"Its hurts Princess." She whined, clawing at his hand.

"Then do as you're told." He gritted, trying not to melt at the nicknames. "Be grateful it wasn't Elonzo who came to pick you up."

He let go of her, making her try to escape. He pinned her between him and the car.

"You're already in huge trouble. Stop making it worse by throwing tantrums." He said, smirking at the little fear in her eyes. What a baby. "Get in the car. We're going home."

"I don't want to go home." She said, looking into his chocolate brown eyes and pouting. "I want to drive my bike and roam through the city."

She waved her hands around, with a smile on her face.

He just gave her an 'are you done?' look. She furrowed her eyebrows and looked at him with confusion.

Her gaze landed on his lips and she suddenly grabbed the back of his neck and pulled him in.

Zack let her. Although he was angry, he couldn't turn down this offer.

He felt himself calm down. Evvie always had that effect on him. One loving gesture and he'd melt into a puddle.

His arm went around her waist as he pulled her closer.

After sometime,
"Get in now." He said, after they pulled away, quite reluctantly.

"Are you moving on your own or.." Zack trailed off, as he looked back and raised an eyebrow at Max, who was still standing where Zack had started dragging Evvie from.

Max just shook his head and walked to the car. His car was being taken away already.

Zack turned back around to see Evvie trying to get to her bike, that he had already asked someone to drive back home. She was trying to stumble closer to it, on her tiptoes.

"EVELINA ROMANO SMITH. GET YOUR ASS IN THE CAR RIGHT NOW." His heavy voice boomed as she jumped suddenly and turned back to walk to the car and slid in.

Max sat there, his arms crossed.

"What an aggressive couple." Max grumbled, looking like a kid not getting his way.

"Yeah. Right. Shut up." Zack rolled his eyes.

"Fine. But I want my car soon." Max grumbled.

"Kids don't get to have cars." Zack shrugged, smirking.

"That's my car. You can't do that!" Max exclaimed.

"I can't?" Zack asked, raising an eyebrow.

He can. He managed to hide all of his vehicles from him, when Evvie and her two best friends pranked him.

Zack started driving, occasionally looking at Evvie and smiling as she poked Max and giggled, now and then. Soon, she felt sleepy as her eyes started closing on their own accord.

He still couldn't believe she was married to him. They were married for a year now and he was still trying to check if it was a dream.

He dropped Max home and Evvie came to sit in the front with him.

"Why?"
First question.

"I don't know."
The answer.

"Are you depressed?"
Second question.

"No."
The answer.

"Then why did you feel like speed driving?"
Third Question.

"I just wanted the thrill. I was lacking motivation, I guess and it was frustrating me. About alcohol, I just wanted to try it and get lost in my world as they say."
The answer.

Zack took her hand in his, rubbing the back of it with his thumb.

"You should've told me, Nerdy." He said, sadness clear on his voice and expressions.

"You were busy with work. I didn't want to disturb you. Besides, I was working late too for some days, so I didn't have time either."

"Yeah. But you had time to go out, get drunk then drive past the limit." He rolled his eyes.

"I swear, if you try to do that again, Nerdy." He said, his tone now completely showing the anger that had disappeared.

"Do you know, how worried I was when I found out you were found drunk and driving at such a high speed? Or how thankful I was that they caught you, not rescue you from some situation that could have caused so much damage?"

"Anything could have happened when you were out, alone and drunk."

Evvie just kept silent, as tears of regret and guilt made their way down her cheeks.

"I miss Mom. I lost her ring a few days back." She said, looking out the window, watching as the mansion came into view.

Their house. Just next door to her Dad's house. He insisted she didn't move too far away, for the sake of all of them and especially Nathan, who was being a child and nagging Zack to take him with Evvie to his house, after the marriage. Hence, Grandpa surprised everyone with this.

"Hey. We'll find it okay? Don't worry." Zack said panicking. He rushed out the car and to the other side. He opened her door and picked her up into his arms, hugging her tightly.

"Don't worry, Nerdy. I'll find it for you." He said, kissing her head, repeatedly, trying to calm her down. Her crying always made him panic.

He started walking into the house, as Evvie clutched onto him tightly, like a baby.

He handed a bottle of water to her and sat down, with her still in her arms. He made sure she finished it, while hugging her tightly, watching her pout at the water bottle.

"What would my little baby like to eat?" He cooed when he realised she may not have eaten for a long time.

"Nothing. I'm not hungry." She mumbled, not letting go, but their position changed. She was now latched onto him, her arms around his neck and legs around his waist.

"When did you eat?" Zack asked, sighing. Stubborn little tomboy.

"I ate snacks in the evening." She muttered. Zack stood up, adjusting her, so she didn't fall down.

"Then you need to eat. Let me make some hot chocolate and.." He trailed off. "Pasta?"

"I don't want to eat." She muttered, burying her head in his shoulder and trying to sleep.

"That's a yes, then." Zack said, as he reached the stove.

"That's a no, you deaf dumb creature." Evvie grumbled.

Zack gasped.
"How can you be so rude to your loving husband, little lady?"

"Like this. Shut up, you ugly brainless creature." She said, punching him lightly.

He just shook his head and chuckled, turning on the stove.

"You know, you need to get down, Nerdy. Your butt is too close to the stove. It might set your butt on fire." He joked. Evvie started laughing, still not releasing her grip.

"What? I'm serious." Zack said, although you could sense the amusement in his words.

"Then take a step back, idiot. You have long arms." She said as Zack did step back a little, laughing.

"You know, I have grey hair already because of you three." Zack said, referring to Max, Kate and Evvie. "Excluding the other four." He added,
