Working my way back to you babe

Trying to focus on classes while you have four guys chasing you is utterly impossible. As much as I wanted to give into Nash, I just couldn't. It was okay for him to be jealous but not for me, and what he said hurt me. It was like they could cast aside me at any moment.

It was Friday night, and we all had a movie marathon. That was fine, except I got stuck having to deal with four guys. The boys didn't like the fact Bryson stopped by, but they also knew I didn't want to deal with any fighting either. I had already been through the emotional ringer.

I still didn't trust Bryson as far as I could throw him, and neither did they.

We all got seated in the main room, and Jasper popped in a movie. I laid on the floor on a pillow, and all four guys sat with me. That was just great.

The movie started, and Paul hit the lights. Unfortunately, they popped into a horror film. Even better. I sat up, pulling the pillow into my lap.

Every time there was a scary part, I would scream and bury my head into the pillow. It got so bad that I ended up burying my head into someone. I felt an arm wrap around me, causing me to relax until another scary part came on.

Then I realized I wasn't gripping a pillow but Nash. I looked up at him, and he looked down at me as my eyes widened. Then we started to lean in until someone yelled, "Nathan, you little shit!"

I pulled away quickly as Nash dropped his arm.

"What did I do?" He exclaimed.

"You know what you did, you horny little bastard!"

Macey got up and stormed out of the room as Nathan covered his face in frustration. I got up with the rest of the girls, going upstairs.

Nash shot Nathan a look, and Nixon smacked him.

Well, so much for movie night.

I walked out of class when I heard someone yell, "Maggie!"

I turned to see Nash walking towards me.

"Hey, I was wondering if you were hungry?"

Before I answered, Bryson said, "Ready?"

"Uh, yeah, sorry Nash, Bryson, and I would grab a bite and work on our assignment. Maybe another time," I said as I turned and walked away with Bryson, but Bryson turned, smirking at Nash. That caused anger to boil inside him.

"Well," Nixon asked, walking up.

"We need to work faster. I don't trust that guy as far as I can throw him," Nash said to Nixon.

"Guess, we will do it the Gray style then," Nixon said, rubbing his hands together.

Bryson and I walked to the diner and went inside. We found a booth and sat down. Then, we pulled out our assignment. The waitress came by and took our order. As we ate, we worked on our homework.

"So, Maggie, I was wondering if you had a date for homecoming?"

"I wasn't going to homecoming," I said as I worked on my assignment.

"Oh, well, would you like to?"

I looked up at Bryson, thinking back to what happened before.

"No," I told him as I went back to my work.

"Okay. How about if we dance?"

I looked up and said, "Bryson, you're lucky you're sitting here. Don't push your luck."

"Duly noted."

I may be a lot of things, but stupid wasn't one of them. Just then, Tiffany strutted in with her minions great.

"Well, well, well, look who's slumming it," she sneered.

"What do you want, Tiffany?" He asked with annoyance.

"Nice to see you downgraded Bryson," she snapped.

"And therefore, I broke up with you. Now go away. We're busy," Bryson retorted.

"Humph," she huffed as she turned and walked away with her minions. What was that about with Bryson and Tiffany?

We finished our homework and our meal, then Bryson walked me back to the house. I said goodbye and stepped inside, only greeted by Carson, who said, "Hey Maggie."

"Hey Carson," I replied, feeling annoyed.

"So, homecoming is coming up."

"And I'm not going," I interrupted him as I walked by him and up the stairs.

As soon as I hit the second floor, I saw Jace and interjected, "Before you ask, no, I am not going to homecoming." I went into my room.

I had no desire to go to a dance when the only person I wanted to go with, I wasn't together with, and that was Nash. I was missing Nash, but I needed to do this. I had to keep telling myself.

"What do you mean she isn't going?" Nash asked them.

"Dude she isn't going? What part of that don't you understand? Are you slow or something," Nixon asked him.

"She has to go," Nash exclaimed.

"Oh, she's going all right. Even if we have to bound and gag her," Kat said, causing the brothers to look at each other.

"Baby, you're a genius," Nixon complimented her while kissing her.

Operation homecoming was in full effect with a few minor twists.

For this plan to work, the boys enlisted some help in the form of Cody and Jaime.

"You know she will kill you," Jaime said.

"Who cares? All we need is to get her there," Nixon said.

"We also need help in achieving that, namely keeping your brother," Nathan pointed at Jaime, "and your brother," he looked at Cody, "away."

"We also need to get her dressed and to the dance. How are we going to manage that?" Macey asked.

"Leave the dressing to us," Kat said.

"And getting her there to us," Noah added.

"Look, I don't care how we do it, but she needs to get to that dance," Nash told them. "I just need a chance to kiss her."

"What's a kiss going to do?" Jaime asked him.

"More than you know."

They all looked at each other. It was tricky, but the boys were The Gray Brothers, and if it was anything, anyone knew it was they always had a few tricks up their sleeves.

Let the games begin.
