They released me from the hospital and getting a head injury also means everyone has to hover over you. I couldn't even go to the bathroom in peace.

"Marco! Get out!" I yelled.

"I'm just making sure you don't fall!" He exclaimed.

"I don't need your help!"

"Why? It's not like I find you hot or anything. I'm freaking gay for crying out loud!" He reasoned.

Nash walked in and promptly escorted him out of the bathroom. He pointed for him to leave. "Okay, okay, I'm going geez."

He walked in and closed the door behind him.

"All I want to do is pee in peace," I sighed. Nash chuckled.

"Yeah, well, Marco's worried about you."

I finished, pulling up my pants. I washed my hands, then dried them. I walked towards Nash, laying my head on his chest. "Nash, I'm tired of people treating me like a doll," I whined.

"I know. It's just we're worried," Nash said, wrapping his arms around me.

"What happened to you scared us. Mags, there was a lot of blood."

I lifted my head and looked at him. "Yeah, but I lived with you guys for a year. Do you honestly think to hit my head will stop me?"

I watched a smile form on his lips. "No, I guess not."

"Exactly, if I can survive you guys, I can sure in the hell survive this," I smiled. He opened the door, and we left the bathroom.

"Everything okay," Marco asked anxiously.

"Everything is fine," I reassured him.

"Whew because for a minute, I thought things would take a turn for the worse," he said to me.

"You're a strange guy," I remarked, walking down the stairs.

"That's a good thing, right?" He yelled after me.

Yeah, this would be a fun night.

The next morning, Nash woke me up with the help of Kat. I was having a hard time waking since what happened. The doctor explained that it was normal after suffering a head injury. Everyone worked with me, making sure I had everything and ate breakfast since there was a possibility of forgetting things.

The doctor advised this should clear up in a few weeks once it's healed.

I sat down at the table, and Jasper handed me a cup of coffee while Paul gave me a plate of food. I stared at it. Ugh, I wasn't even hungry. I was more tired than anything.

"Mags?"

"Mmm?"

"You okay?" Nash asked me with concern.

"I'm not starving, but I don't want to hurt their feelings," I whispered.

"You're not, but you have to eat," Paul whispered.

"Oh," I replied as I looked at them as they looked back at me with concern.

"Maggie, as much of a pain in the ass you are, you need to eat," Nixon demanded.

"Thanks, jackass," I rolled my eyes at him.

"At least she's feeling better," he shrugged.

I forced myself to eat even though I didn't have much appetite, then we all left and went to class. The first class I had with Nixon lucky me, the second class I had with Kat, and the last level I had with Nash at school. It all worked out in some way.

In between classes, I wandered around campus, trying to get familiar with everything.

"So, how do you like it so far?" A voice asked me. I turned around to see Marco walking up to me.

"It's different," I remarked, looking around.

"Yeah, it gets like that at first, but then you become accustomed to it," he grinned.

"Trust me, if it's anything I know about getting used to something, it's getting used to the Gray family," I said to him.

"They have a strong attachment to you. I can tell," Marco implied.

"I heard someone else has a strong attachment to me." I smiled at him.

"Yeah, I do," he sighed. "It's just that you remind me of my sister," he said to me.

"I take it you're close to her?"

"Was close. My sister died a few years ago," Marco said.

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that." I felt empathy for him.

"Yeah, it's funny. We weren't even blood, but my sister was so cool."

"What do you mean you don't blood?" I looked at him, confused.

"They adopted me."

That stunned me.

"It's okay. My parents told me about it when I was old enough to understand," he shrugged.

"Did they ever tell you about your birth family?"

"Only that my birth parents had me when they were young and didn't want to raise a baby. Said my birth mother didn't even look at me. I don't know why because I am adorable," he grinned. That made me laugh.

"You seem like you're taking this in stride," I asked him.

"Eh, if they didn't want me, I don't need them."

"I know what you mean." He looked at me. "I didn't exactly end up living with the Gray family by choice. They dumped me on them."

"Huh?" He looked at me, confused.

"My ever-loving birth parents dumped me on them and said I was no longer their problem."

"Well, that's shitty," he remarked with a frown.

"Yeah, but Nate and Pat have been great. The boys not so much, but we tolerate each other," I shrugged.

"What about Nash? Does he tolerate you?"

"Nope, he loves me," I smiled.

"I can tell he looks at you. That boy is head over heels in love with you," he exclaimed. That made me laugh.

"Mags!"

"Speak of the devil," he said to me as Nash ran over to me.

"How was your first day?" He asked me.

"Confusing, but I think it would be, even without the head injury," I reassured him.

"Ready to go?"

"Yes, I'm a little tired," I yawned.

"Well, hop on," he said, turning his back to me, and I hopped onto his back as he gave me a piggyback ride back to the house.

Jasper walked up to Marco. "How is Maggie?"

"Better," he answered.

"So, when are you going to tell her?"

Marco looked at him. "Why do I need to tell her?"

"Because she has a right to know," he said to Marco.

"Can't I wait? I'm just getting to know her," he whined.

"Marco, she will find out, and do you honestly think them moving in was a coincidence?"

He sighed. "Fine, but not yet, and you have to promise Paul not to say anything. I have to tell her."

"Fine, but do it before she finds out," he warned him. Marco looked at him and rolled his eyes.

Once we got back to the house, Nash set me down on the couch. Then he sat down next to me.

"So, what were you and Marco talking about?" He asked me.

"We were talking about our birth parents, and he told me they adopted him," I shrugged.

"Really?" Nash asked in a surprised tone.

"Yeah, and that his sister, who I'm guessing is his adoptive sister, died a couple of years ago," I told him.

"Wow, that's a lot to tell someone you barely know," he added, confused.

"That's what I thought, but it's weird."

"What is?"

"Marco has a weird attachment to me."

"Oh, he better not be thinking what I think he's thinking," Nash huffed, and my eyebrows raised.

"Are you jealous?" I inquired with a look.

"Pft, no," he lied.

"You're jealous," I teased him.

"No, I'm not."

"Nashville Gray is jealous of a gay guy," I laughed.

He rolled his eyes. "I hate that name and fine. But only because you're mine," he said, pulling me onto his lap. "Maggie Holloway, no one will come between us." He leaned in and kissed me.

"Never," I said against his lips as I smiled and kissed him back.

Something told me there was more to what Marco was talking about than what he told me I had a feeling when I found out; it would completely turn my life upside down. Not like that hasn't happened before.
