Our semester ended, and we were more than happy to head home for the holidays. It had been a long semester; you know with Nash, and I am breaking up along with Nixon getting kicked out of school, plus everything else that happened. Okay, maybe that was a bad example.

Everyone headed home, and Kat wanted to see Nixon before going back. I couldn't blame her. She hadn't seen him in eight weeks.

The ride back was beautiful, tiresome, but subtle. When we pulled in, we all got out and walked inside. Nate and Pat greeted us along with Nolan.

"Where is he?" Nash asked them.

"He's upstairs, but there's something you all need to know," Pat told us.

We all looked at each other, wondering what happened.

"Nixon went through a lot of changes while you guys were away. It's been a little rough," she mentioned as we looked at her, knowing this had something to do with his stint in rehab.

Nash nodded, and we waited as he went upstairs and knocked on the door. He turned the handle and opened it, "Nix?"

Nixon said nothing. He just stood there looking out his window. His hair was a little longer, and he had lost weight.

Nash walked over to him. "Nix?"

He turned around and smiled, then threw his arms around Nash, hugging him.

"You're not getting soft on me, were you?" Nash asked him.

"Psh, no," he said, pushing him away. They smiled and hugged again. Nash pulled back and looked at him. "Man, you've changed."

"Yeah, it's been rough. I'm stuck in rehab since I got back, not even coming home at first. The rehab place released me two days ago," Nixon explained.

"I'm sorry," Nash said to him, his tone filled with empathy.

"No, I'm sorry. It's just with everything that happened; I didn't know how to cope. I thought the bottle was the best route. It turned out it became my worst enemy," Nixon admitted.

"Well, I know there is someone here who's thrilled to see you," he said to him. That was all it took as Nixon flew out of his room and down the stairs. He snatched Kat up and crashed his lips onto hers.

"God, I missed you," he whispered to her.

"I missed you so much," she said as she buried her head into him.

"Oh sure, pick a girl over your flesh and blood," Nathan groaned.

He let go of Kat and looked at his brothers, then said, "Like there's a choice? Hmm, let me see a hot chick or two tools? Think I will go with the hot chick." He smirked, then walked over to Nathan and Noah, hugging them.

It was nice to see them all reunited. When the brothers are apart, they aren't as strong, but together they are the Gray Brothers.

I stood there as he turned his attention to me. He let go of the twins and strolled over to me. Either he would hit me with something or hug me. I'm guessing the first part.

He pulled me into a hug. Okay, I was wrong. He whispered in my ear, "Did he learn?"

"Yep," I answered back in a whisper.

"Good," he commented.

He let go of me, then went back over to Kat.

Nash walked over to me. "What was that about?"

"Nothing, just an inside joke," I smiled.

"Okay," Nash said, confused.

Nash and the twins went to grab our stuff out of the car. Kat pulled me aside.

"Okay, spill," she ordered me.

"Spill what?" I asked innocently.

"That sweet little exchange between you and Nixon," she replied with a look.

"Well, he might have suggested showing Nash what it would be like to see me with another guy. He might have suggested his cousin's help. He might have also suggested I take it," I answered casually with a shrug.

"Wait, so you're telling me, you and Nixon orchestrated the breakup then orchestrated all the crushes?" She asked with a look.

"No," I said hesitantly.

"Okay, but what about Bryson?"

"That I didn't know about."

"So, you and Nixon conspired to teach Nash a lesson?"

"Pretty much," I informed her.

"And therefore, I love that man so much," she smirked. I giggled.

The boys dragged in the luggage.

"A little help, please," Nash groaned. I walked over and grabbed one of my bags. I carried it up to my room, setting it down. I looked around - home sweet home.

I heard a knock at my door. I turned to see Nash leaning against the door frame.

"Glad to be home?" He asked me.

"Yeah," I answered, feeling a little off about something.

He walked over and wrapped his arms around my lower back. "I love you."

"I love you too."

Just as we were about to kiss, we heard someone say, "Yeah, yeah, we all love each other. Is there a time when you two aren't acting all mushy?"

We looked at Nixon and rolled our eyes.

"Come on, you twit. We're going tree shopping," Nixon commented as we sighed.

Nash grabbed my hand, leading me out of the room but not before stopping. I looked at him quizzically.

"I knew what you and Nixon did," he told me.

My eyes widened. Oh god, Nash would kill me. That is an excellent time to plead the fifth.

He stopped and looked at me. "I'm not mad."

"You're not?" I looked at him, confused.

"No," he answered.

I stepped back and looked at him suspiciously. If I have learned anything about Grays, they love to get even.

"Mags, I will not hurt you," he assured me.

"No, but knowing you, you have something more devious in mind," I said, narrowing my eyes and wagging my finger at him.

He chuckled.

"Look, I understand why you did. Well, that was after Grammy called me and yelled at me for a good hour. That was a rough hour."

I looked at him, surprised.

"Let's just say she set me a straight on a few things," he mentioned sheepishly.

"You know your Grammy is crazy, right?"

"But she also knows with two people being together. She knows what she is talking about with people. Look at my ma and Dad. She tried to electrocute dad."

I looked at him, shocked.

"She already warned me if I didn't get my shit together, I would experience even worse," he shuddered, and I couldn't help but laugh. I threw my arms around him and giggled against his lips.

"That isn't funny," he mumbled. I couldn't help but laugh even more. He picked me up and carried me downstairs.

That would be one heck of a Christmas.

We trudged around the snow that laid on the Christmas tree lot and looked for a Christmas tree. Note to self, purchase an artificial tree when I move out.

Once they found a tree, we went home. The guys got the tree set up, and we ended up with tree sap on us. Do you know how sticky sap is? It's sticky.

I needed to take a shower since I got it all over me. I turned on the water and waited for it to be the right temperature, then climbed in. I started washing up and didn't hear someone come in, locking the door.

They promptly removed their clothes and stepped inside. I felt their hands touch my skin and almost let out a scream until they spun me around and shushed me, Nash.

He pulled me close to him, kissing me. I couldn't help but melt into him. We hadn't been this close in a very long time. As hard as I tried to resist, I couldn't. I gave into Nash as he claimed my body.

It was a different side of him. I had never seen a more confident one and a more sexy one. That's for sure. I love the way he held and kissed me.

Then there was a knock at the door. Damn it.

"Hurry, before you use all the hot water," Nathan yelled.

Nash let out a deep sigh. "Just when it was getting good." I tried to stifle my laugh. We quickly hurried up and got dressed.

"Your parents are so going to kill us if they found out we took a shower together," I whispered while pulling on my sweatpants.

"Yeah, but it will have been so worth it," he smirked. "We will finish what we started later." I turned beet red.

We opened the door to Nathan. "What were you two doing in there?" He looked at us questionably.

"Mags took a shower, and I was talking to her," he shrugged.

"With wet hair? I bet that's all you were doing," he smirked as he went into the bathroom. Ah, the pleasure of living in a house with other dirty-minded guys.

We went downstairs to help with the decorating of the tree. Nixon arched an eyebrow at us as Noah and Nolan snickered. Great, nothing like the peanut gallery to point out the obvious.

"Did you get a shower, Maggie," Nate asked me.

"Um, yep, sure did," I answered quickly.

He looked at Nash. "Why is your hair wet?"

"No reason," Nash said as he shrugged.

"Uh-huh sure," Nate said with an eye roll, causing the others to snicker even more.

"Nash, the next time you take a shower with Maggie, can you not spend so long in there," Pat asked causing the boys to roar with laughter and me to turn three shades of red.

Nash didn't say a word.

She stopped and looked at us. "Oh, will you relax. It's not like we are stupid when both of you disappear around the same time."

"Thanks, Ma," he groaned as he started to blush.

We finished decorating the tree and finally went to bed. It had been a long day.

Over Christmas break, we celebrated Christmas and New Year. It was nice to be home this time and not get into any fights with anyone in a store. Nixon also sat down with the rest of us and filled us in about his time in rehab. He also admitted to being an alcoholic and would have to attend AA meetings to maintain his sobriety. We informed him we would support him no matter what. That's what being a part of a family means.

We were also returning with another person when the new semester started. They allowed Nixon to return after much discussion with the school on Nate and Pat's part, but he was also on probation. That meant no drinking, and Nixon had to make sure his grades were up to par. I don't think the drinking would be an issue considering Nixon knew that he had a problem with alcohol. As long as Nixon worked the program, he would be fine.

Did I mention Kat made him get a haircut? She refused to date a hippy - her words, not mine.

I had to admit it was nice to have him back. As much as I hated to admit it, and I swear I will never admit this to Nixon, I missed the tool; God saves me.
