Hailey's POV

I order a McDonald burger and some fries. I am really hungry. I walk through the mall I am currently in, chewing my fries. Feeling bored, I go into a sport-wear clothing store and pick out a few sports bras and tights. I am not the Victoria Secret type so don't judge me.

As I look through the stalls, I spot a familiar looking figure and I instantly notice Tristan with the same guys I saw at school.

I eyed only one person: Tristan. The douchebag who thinks it's fine to man-handle a girl. Then suddenly, our eyes met. We narrowed our eyes at each other, no one breaking the stare, until, his friend called him and saw me.

I quickly turned around and made my way to pay for the things in my hands, before speedily walking out of the store.

Still walking and not turning back to look if I am not being followed, I feel a hand on my shoulder and without thinking, I grab the hand from my shoulder with one hand and twist it, pulling it foward. Still not facing the person the hand belongs to, I quickly twist the hand more making him face the opposite direction as I turn around and stand behind him with me still holding his arm.

"Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow!" He winces in pain and I release him after seeing that he is one of Tristan's friends.

"Don't sneak up on people like that," I shout at him.

"I just wanted to talk to you, well we just wanted to talk to you," he groans in pain. I look back to Tristan and another one of his friends trying to control their laughter.

"Did you ever think of calling me before sneaking up on me?" He looked back at him.

"I don't know your-"

"Hailey," I cut him off.

"Okay...Hailey, would you like to hang out with us?" He asks.

"No," I deadpan.

"C'mon any girl would want to hang out with us," he says.

"Well clearly I'm not any girl, am I?" I cross my arms.

"Damn right your not. That move you did right there hurt as-"

"Don't swear," I cut him again.

"Okay..." he looked at his friends in confusion. "It hurt badly," he finishes, turning his attention back to me.

"C'mon Chase, leave the innocent Angel and let's go," Tristan says to the guy I reckon is Chase. He has dark brown hair and brown eyes. He is very good looking and I bet girls can't keep their eyes off of him.

"What did you call me?" I ask as I step closer to Tristan.

"An innocent Angel," he challenged.

I hold back the urge to punch him in his pretty face, but I do not like violence so, I have to remain calm.

"Don't call me that," I demand.

"Okay...Angel, " he smirks.

This guy has the nerve to call me that.

Hailey, breathe.

"I'll be going before I do something I'll regret," I say as I walk away.

"Can we at least buy you something to eat?" Chase calls out, making me stop in my tracks. Staring at my finished fries makes me realise that I want more.

"Fine," I give in. "But I want MacDonald fries and Oreos as well."

"Deal," he grins.

"Jordan, did you really ask me if a person can cry under water?" I stare at him. Jordan is Tristan's other friend or bro. He has blonde hair and blue eyes. He has the smile that makes girls swoon and he has a perfectly sculptured, hot body.

"What? I have to know," he shrugs.

I spent the last hour with these three guys and trust me, I can't stop laughing. Although, Tristan has been quiet but I don't know for what reason.

"Are you always this quiet?" I ask him, while eating my favourite cookies, Oreos.
"No," he deadpans.

"Talk about trying to be nice," I mutter to myself.

"Don't worry about him, he has no emotions," Chase jokes. Tristan just gives him a stern look and he immediately keeps quiet.

"Thanks for the fries and Oreos, but I have to go home," I say as I stand up from the table we are sitting at and grabbing my car keys and phone.

"So early? It's only six," Jordan pouts.

"Yep, sorry. Bye," I say as I leave.

.....

I arrive at home and immediately go to my room to finish my homework and studying for an hour.

Satisfied with doing my work, I check the time and see that it's half past seven. My parents should be home by now.

I go downstairs to the kitchen and find my mother already cooking dinner as the smell of the deliciously cooked chicken pervades the kitchen.

"Hi Mom," I greet her.

"Hi honey," she greets back with her heart warming smile. "How was school?" She asks.

"School was school," I reply as I sit on one of the stools surrounding our kitchen island.

"Okay, dinner will be ready in a few minutes," she says. "Please go call your dad in his office."

I nod as I get up and go around our kitchen, passed the dining room, and I knock on the first door down the hallway, on your left.

Our house's big.

"Come in," my dad says from the other side of the door.

"Dad, Mom is says I should call you," I say as I sit down on his lap.

"Okay, I'm coming," he says. "You do know that you're too old to sit on my lap right," I asks and pokes my tummy playfully. I love my dad. He has always been my rock that I can lean on whenever I want to.

"I'm never too old to be your little girl," I kiss him on the cheek.

"I'd like to see you do that in front of your friends," he laughs.

"That'll never happen," I laugh and get off his lap, and exit the room.
.......

I'm sitting on my bed, listening to music through my headphones, as I scan through my emails.

Get ready for this Friday...boss wants to see you.

Great. The one thing in my past I can't erase.

Me
Fine. I'll be there.

I shut my laptop and start reminiscing on the past. My mistakes, the reason why I'm not a good girl and I have to put up a good girl act. As I brood over my past, I feel darkness enclose my eyes, as my eyelids become heavy and I immediately fall asleep.
