Weizhou couldn't believe there was someone in this world that could eat as much as him and still maintain a body like the ones you usually see on the covers of the magazines. He kept staring at the boy in front of him with a curious gaze as he chew his food carelessly. They've been talking for a while, enjoying the food and the cool breeze; maybe a bit cold for his taste; of the night. Jingyu was a normal guy, he was expecting some kind of egocentric asshole but he was surprised to find a funny, smart and carefree guy. If he had to do this model job for a whole week he was glad he had him as a partner, they liked the same kind of music, movies, they shared a few hobbies and he felt comfortable around him, almost as if they were old friends, it was easy talking to him.

“Are you going to eat that?” Jingyu asked as he tried to steal some meat from Weizhou's bowl. “Don't you even think about it.” Weizhou said, as he slapped the other boy's hand with his chopsticks. “If you're still hungry order more food but don't you dare to touch my plate.” Jingyu laughed softly and grabbed his alcohol free beer, giving it a long sip. Behind Jingyu's broad shoulder a group of girls walked by and bowed their heads to them, smiling while they whispered to each other. Weizhou bowed back but didn't stop eating. “Looks like we're not the only ones who thought about eating here.” He said as he pointed to the group of hair and make up artists that were sitting on an empty table. Jingyu turned around and smiled. “Do you want to join them?” He asked at the boy in front of him, who was still busy with his food. He rolled his eyes and shook his head. “Not my type.” He mumbled, trying not to choke.

“Oh, I see what you mean...” Jingyu smirked at him and wiggled his eyebrows, which Weizhou answered with a kick on his shin. “Ouch!”

“I didn't mean that, asshole...” Even as he said those words, Weizhou was smiling. He finally finished his food and looked for his wallet to pay for it.

“My treat, I was the one who asked you to join me.” Jingyu grabbed Weizhou's hand to stop him and reprimanded him with his index finger. Weizhou wasn't going to insist, he would never reject free food, so he just shrugged and waited until Jingyu paid for everything.

“Do you want me to drive you home?” Jingyu and Weizhou were walking towards the older boy's car, it was already late and the weak streetlights were the only light source around them. There was none around them and the sound of their footsteps and Weizhou's bike were the only ones they could heard.

“I'm not a girl, I can go home by myself.” He complained as he pushed the other boy playfully.

“Oh, really? Someone could mistake you for one from behind, you have a big girly ass...” Weizhou gasped and kicked Jingyu for the second time that night.

“You're a dick. Anyway, I'll ride my bike, if you don't mind.” Jingyu smiled and nodded.

“Then I'll see you tomorrow.” He leaned over Weizhou, who freaked out for a second, until he felt the boy's arm in his back, patting him a couple of times. It was just a hug, nothing to worry about. “Don't be late.” Weizhou waved at him, feeling a bit stupid, he wasn't used to people touching him, he thought Jingyu had a more european character, maybe he was used to being that way with the other models. He shrugged to himself and started riding his bike towards his place.

“You're very late today, why didn't you call me? Your dinner is already cold. If you want to warm it up it's over the counter.” Xu Tao said as soon as he heard the main door of their house opening.

“Dad, something good happened to me today, well... I guess it's good.” He took off his sneakers and walked inside the warm house. He was sure his grandparents were already asleep, he checked his phone, it was almost midnight.

“Really? Are you going to tell me?” Weizhou's dad was sitting on the living room with a book on his hands and a cup of warm tea over the table. His son took off his coat, threw it over the couch and sat next to him. “That's dirty, what happened to...” Weizhou didn't let him continue as he interrupted him.

“I'm a model.” He blurted. “Well, it's more complicated than that.” He added as he saw his father's confusion. “Today at work, a model had an accident and they didn't have enough time to find another one so they hired me. Crazy, right? Well, the thing is I signed a contract and I'm going to London tomorrow night. Aren't you happy?” Weizhou could easily read the perplexity on his father's face so he decided to shut up and give him a minute to gather all his thoughts.

“You're working as a model? Wait, are you going to drop out of college, Weizhou, you need to finish your studies then you can—” Weizhou groaned and grabbed the cup of tea that was over the table.

“I'm not going to drop out of college, dad. This is a one time thing, but the money is good. Jingyu, the other model, he says that I could be a model, I'm sure he was just trying to be nice but maybe I can model for small business or something like that and then I can move to my own place. But no, don't worry, I'm still going to finish my major.” Weizhou sipped from the hot tea and hummed.

“Oh, okay, that's different, as long as it doesn't interfere with your studies you can do whatever you want, son, you're old enough to know what you want.” He stood up and grabbed his cup of tea from his son's hands and placed it on the table. “But if you have to go to London make sure you have your luggage ready before you leave tomorrow. I'll make you another cup of tea and you can tell me everything about this job. Okay?” Weizhou nodded and smiled as he saw his dad disappear towards the kitchen.

Weizhou knew his dad was right, he was always right, but even knowing it sometimes it was hard to follow his advice. And that's why at ten minutes to nine his suitcase was still empty. He stared at the opened object over his unmade bed and sighed. He had no idea what he had to put inside. He already had his passport and everything important inside his bag but besides that he had no idea what kind of things he was going to need once he was in London. He grabbed a couple of sweaters and two jeans and put them inside the suitcase not even bothering to fold them, he added some socks, his underwear and toiletries and closed it. He supposed that was good enough, he didn't have enough time to think too much about it and that was the first time he was travelling outside the country. He sighed and scratched his head still staring at his luggage, then he jumped as he heard the sudden ring of his doorbell. He grabbed his stuff, put on his still dirty coat and hugged his dad who wished him a nice flight. He put on his sneakers, opened the door and almost fell face first to the floor thanks to a foreign object that was in the middle of the entrance.

“What the hell!” Weizhou swore as the chauffeur stared at him with a bored face and he tripped making a fool of himself. “What's this?” The driver ignored him and took Weizhou's suitcase that was beside him, opened the trunk of the car and placed it inside. Meanwhile, Weizhou looked at the object that almost killed him. It was a flower pot with a pink orchid, he looked for some kind of card but he didn't find any. He looked at the driver but his attention was still focussed on his luggage so he just placed the orchid inside the house hall and closed the door. His father would take care of it in case someone left it there by mistake. Maybe it was a present from Ms. Xiao Ye to thank him for his hard work the previous day and save her ass. Nah, she didn't look like that kind of person. He realised he didn't have time to keep worrying about that triviality when the driver opened the backdoor and urged him to step inside the vehicle.

He thought his second day as a model was going to be better than the first one, he wasn't as nervous as he was the previous day, he already knew more or less what to do, of course, he wasn't a professional, but at least he knew he wasn't going to act like an idiot again, or at least that's what he hoped. He tried to relax as one of the girls they saw last night was working on his hair, while he, still wearing his own clothes, was eating his third sandwich that morning and sipping some warm coffee. He had to stop eating when the make up artist started applying the base on his face, which he replied with a growl and a big pout, something Jingyu found funny and made him laugh.

“You're like a kid with food.” Mumbled Jingyu with a mouth half open while one of the other girls was powdering his face.

“I'm not, I'm just hungry and tired. I'm not a morning person.” Weizhou complained, yawning and rubbing his eye, making the make up girl to tsk at him. “Sorry.”

Someone opened the door abruptly, bringing inside the room a warm breeze and a strong yet pleasant woman’s perfume.

“We're starting in ten minutes, I already chose the clothes you're going to wear for the first photoshoot.” She was carrying a clothes rack that left on a side of the room. “There's a post-it on them with your name and the order.” Weizhou looked at the rack's reflection on the mirror that was in front of him and frowned a bit.

“Are those all the clothes for the morning.” Weizhou didn't know what was today's set, he was brought straight to the changing room where one of the staff girls ordered him to seat down, grab a sandwich and not move for the following twenty minutes or more. “Yes, those are your clothes, for both of you guys. We don't have all your measurements so let me know if the underwear fits you or not.”

“But yesterday I wore my own underwear.” Liu Xiao Ye turned around to stare at him through the mirror and smiled.

“That's because you didn't have to show them yesterday, we need you to use our brand, otherwise what's the point of doing a photoshoot?” She smiled again, turned around to look at Jingyu who nodded and then she abandoned the room, leaving Weizhou with a bewildered face.

“None told me I had to take photos in my underwear, well, their underwear.” Jingyu looked at him and snorted.

“Really? Are you being shy now? There's nothing wrong with that and you're going to be wearing more clothes, not just your underwear. Do you have any kind of complex?” Weizhou knew as soon as he saw the dirty smirk on Jingyu's face that he was teasing him about the size of little Weizhou. He grabbed a bottle of cream from the table and threw it to the stupidly handsome male model that was being a pain in the ass. Even though he missed and one of the girls scolded him it was worth it.

“I don't have that kind of complex, but I'm not a model, being almost naked next to you... people is going to compare.” Jingyu snorted again.

“Dude, really, I had no idea you were a guy with self esteem problems.” Weizhou's makeup artist was starting to get annoyed at the boy's lack of ability to stay still.

“My self esteem is perfect, I know I'm handsome and I have a nice body, I can easily say I'm the most handsome male in my class, probably top ten at my college, but we're talking about models now.”

“Okay, I take it back, you're so full of yourself.” Jingyu was done with hair and make up so he approached the clothes' rack and started picking out the clothes with his name on them. The girl that was still working on Weizhou's face decided he was looking as good as he was going to look, she had no strength to keep fighting against that young man's stamina.

“I'm not, it's a fact.” Weizhou was still sitting on his chair as Jingyu, helped by the same scrawny guy from yesterday, started to undress himself and the rest of the staff left the changing room. “I know if I compare myself to the average Chinese young man I'm very handsome, but compared to a model... that's something completely different!” Jingyu didn't know what to think about that guy anymore, he didn't seem to be joking.

“I'm just a normal guy, what are you talking about?” Jingyu rolled his eyes and turned around to take off his underwear and put on the black one he was holding in his hand. Weizhou scowled, that ass was not what someone would call 'normal'.

“Whatever.” Weizhou swung his chair around and entertained himself with the makeup products that were over the table.

“Weizhou, if you're doing this photoshoot is because you look like a model, stop pouting like a kid and put your clothes on.” Weizhou grunted and stood up from the chair, walking to the rack of clothes, and starting to look through them. He stared at the underwear and shrugged.

“Okay, let's do this.”
