Chapter Four|A Bunch Of Ignorant Dumbies

"You did what?!" Euphoria squealed as she watched Tasha move around her kitchen preparing scrambled eggs and toast for her.

"You didn't wake up by noon so when he came by I gave him your phone number since yours was dead and locked." Tasha grinned.

"Tasha." Euphoria stomped her foot but regretted it from the headache that thumped behind her eye. "Why would you do that?"

"You deserve to have a little fun and to indulge in the finer things in life."

"I do remember you clearly stating that Demetrius D'Agostino is all bad news and I should stay away." She rolled her eyes as she sat before the plate made for her.

"Well I change my mind." Tasha shrugged. "Maybe he'll give you a good fučk."

"What makes you think or believe he wants to just fučk not possibly kill me?" She arched her brow before shoveling eggs into her mouth.

"The D'Agostino's are known for having the fun with the middle class or lower class and exotic beauties before settling with someone of their class and culture." Tasha shrugged.

"What? Seriously?"

"Yes it's very rare that they marry someone of less importance in their eyes but not once have I heard they marry outside their race."

"Not that Tasha." She rolled her eyes. "I'm saying,"What? Seriously?", as in what the hell are you thinking that I just wanna be someone's fučk buddy?"

"Oh don't be such a nun bambina, live a little." Tasha laughed out loud. "You never know. You might be able to get somethings out of this."

"Oh yeah and those being what? Countless walks of shame? A destroyed vagina? No sense of worth? No sense of self respect?" She arched her brow.

Tasha pursed her lips. "With an attitude like that I'm not surprised that you're alone." She shook her head. "All I'm saying is that there's nothing wrong with taking advantage of the opportunities presented to you."

So you mean becoming a gold digger because some white boy wants to have his little fun?

"Let's drop this conversation." Euphoria didn't say what was on the tip of her tongue. "Other than the money and you giving my number to him nothing else happened?"

"No." Tasha shook her head. "Come let me go with you to buy groceries or else you'll starve soon." Tasha teased.

"Ok let me shower and get dressed then we can leave."

Euphoria groaned inwardly as she noticed a group of familiar college students not to far ahead. "Hey why not skip this aisle?" She turned around ready to leave.

"What? The milk, cheese and butter is down this aisle." Tasha frowned looking up from the list she had created.

Tasha had made Euphoria sit down and construct a list of all the things that they needed, although she knew everything she would need, and the last things they needed were fridge items.

"I don't want to walk pass those airheads alright." Euphoria said.

"Aye yo Druggie!" One of the boys from the group she wanted to ignore so bad yelled out.

"Druggie?" Tasha furrowed her brows.

"They say my name is the name of a drug. Not that I know of since I don't do them. But, they insist on calling me the stupid name." Euphoria quickly said before turning around to see them. "If it isn't Dumb, Dumber, Dumbest and their little dumblings." She mockingly waved at females behind the braoding males.

"Who's you're little friend?" Dumbest, Matt, spoke eyeing Tasha.

"Shh don't speak of your dičk like that in public. It might chase the bitčhes away." Euphoria said. "Oh no wait they're right behind you. Nevermind."

Tasha laughed out loud gaining a few stares as she held onto the trolley."Are you done?" Dumb, Trey, snapped.

"You're not about to stand there and speak to my friend like that as if she called you over. You got me all the way fučked up if you think that." Euphoria glared.

"Why are you always such a bitčh?" Dumbling, Courtney, the head of the dumblings stepped forward. "Or is it like the way you people were raised."

Tasha straightened up and stared at Courtney as Euphoria glared daggers into her. Courtney shifted uncomfortably under their glares. "Let's go Tasha before I catch a fučking case." Euphoria turned around abruptly and walked away.

"Why do you even like talk to her anyways dude?" She heard Dumber, Garret, speak as she walked away with Tasha.

"Do they always do that?" Tasha asked.

"When they get the chance to yes." Euphoria nodded. "I almost got kicked out of university during my first year. I literally fought all the dumblings at the same time. I walked out that fight with scratches mainly. I on the other hand broke their arms, nose, wrist and gave them all matching shiners."

Tasha laughed as she shook her head. "C'mon let's go check out. You'll get the rest of the things tomorrow, Jamal is outside."

"Alright."

~¤~

"Thank you again Jamal. You didn't have to do this, especially since you're my boss."

"It's alright." Jamal waved her off. "I doubt your tiny hands could carry all these by yourself."

"Hey they're not that small." Euphoria frowned looking down at her arms.

"I'll see you next week." Jamal stated. "Take it easy and get well soon."

"I will and thank you."

"Bye bambina." Tasha hugged her before following behind Jamal.

Euphoria closed her door and began to unpack all of her groceries. When she had packed away the last item there was a knock at her door. Euphoria frowned at the thought of who would be at her door so late in the day.

"Who is it?" She asked as she looked in the peephole."Oh shít." Euphoria mouthed as she saw none other than Demetrius D'Agostino standing on the other side of her door.

"Demetrius." His gruff voice came from the behind the door.

Euphoria took three large steps backwards. "Just give me a minute." She called out before she rushed to the nearest mirror and checked her reflection.

Her hair stuck out from the ponytail she had put her hair in. Her eyes harboured bags and dark circles. Her lips were dry and near cracking. She quickly straightened her clothes before pulling out a lip balm from her pocket and applying it. A knock made her dash to the door, nearly tripping over air in the process.

"Uhm...hi." She greeted awkwardly when the door had opened.

"Good evening tesoro." He greeted her looking into her eyes. "May I come in?" He quirked his brow and tilted his head slightly after a long moment of silence.

"Oh right." She opened the door wider. "Sorry yes you can. But, no shoes please."

To her surprise he removed his shoes and walked into the her small apartment. She watched his gaurds stand on either sides of her door before she closed the door. Turning around she couldn't help but gawk at the tall, built and broading man that made her already small apartment feel extremely tiny. His cologne wrapped itself around her like a blanket almost eliciting a moan from her. She could feel his body heat from where she stood. His presence had her damn near melting.

"Would you like something to drink?" She asked him as she shook her mind out of the fuzzy state it had slipped into.

"Water will do."

"Please." The word slipped out before she could stop it. Euphoria had the habit of reminding people to say please and thank you. The customers at the bar found it rather amusing but complied to her wishes none the less.

"What?"

"Excuse me." She corrected once more. "You forgot to say please and "what" is rude. Excuse me is much more appropriate."

His forest green like eyes danced across her figure as he took in what she had said. "Please may I have a glass of water."

"Coming right up." Euphoria smiled brightly. Not for that fact that he'd said please but for the fact he didn't kill her for correcting his manners.

"So, uhm, what brings you by?" She asked him as she handed him a bottle of water. "The tap water here is horrible so bottled is better." She explained as to why she didn't give him a glass of water but gave him bottled water.

"I wanted to check on how you were doing. By the looks of it. It seems as though you're doing much better."

"Yes I am. And thank you for what you did for me. Tasha told me everything that happened to me." She bit her lip looking away from his unwavering stare. "Is that all?

"No, I also came here to ask you an important question."
