"Happy Valentine's Day bubba!"

Blake smiled at the daisies Jace had got her and she pecked his lips. "Thank you" she said softly.

"I know your dad always got them for you so I decided to get you a bouquet of them to add to the one your mom got you."

She smiled down at them and didn't bother smelling them. She didn't know why people smelt flowers and thought they genuinely smelt good. Every time she smelt flowers they always smelled like dirt.

"Thanks" she murmured.

She was really exhausted. She got angry at Chris last night because he had cancelled on their plans again for the fifth time. She knew he was busy but she couldn't help but think that he just didn't want to see her.

"Is everything okay?"

"Yeah everything's okay" she said and gave him a small smile.

She went to the kitchen and filled up a vase up with water before plopping the flowers in them. She brought them up to her room with Jace trailing behind her.

"So, prom is in May."

"Yeah I know, still three months away" she mumbled.

"I would do something big but I know you don't like all that extra shit so do you want to go to prom with me?"

Blake honestly didn't want to go to prom, she didn't think she would have a fun time. She honestly was going to say no but she saw the hopeful glint that was shining in his eyes making her hold back her heavy sigh.

"Yeah I'll go with you" she said softly, a small smile sitting on her lips.

His eyes lit up and he engulfed Blake into him, giving her a sweet kiss.

"Thank you! I was nervous you would say no but I just know we will have a great time."

She knew she wouldn't but she would at least try and look like she would have fun for him. She didn't like anyone at the school, she found them all annoying and she didn't talk to any of them. So why would she go to a school event with the people she could give less of a fuck about? Because she is that in love with Jace.

"So what color are you thinking for prom then?"

"Have no plans on buying something until like two weeks beforehand so who knows."

"Well, I uh- my mom she wants to go out to buy me a suit in a few days and wants to know what color you'll get so I can match you. She likes being prepared."

"Jace I really have not thought about even going until three minutes ago so I don't know, black I guess."

"Oh, just black?"

She groaned and threw herself on the bed. "Well what color would you like Jace?"

"I want to see you in a light blue color, or light purple."

"No way am I wearing anything light, it's not my cup of tea. I'll do any dark color of your choice, doesn't matter."

He sighed, "alright, let's go out for some food."

"Or we could order some tacos and throw hot sauce covered snowballs at the annoy jocks cars."

Jace laughed loudly before gabbing his phone.

They panted next to each other as Blake stared at her ceiling fan that was slowly moving around in circles, blowing cool air over their sweaty bodies. She had just got back from the bathroom and didn't plan on moving anytime soon after what her and Jace just did.

"Bubba?"

Blake hummed and pushed her hair out of her sticky face so it was sprawled out on the pillow.

"I got a scholarship for football at Ohio state."

She looked at him and saw the happiness in his eyes.

"I knew you could do it, good job Jace. I'm proud of you" she smiled at him.

She gave him a deep kiss before pulling back, her right hand resting on his left cheek.

"We um, we won't be seeing each other for a while once I go away."

Sparrow jumped up on the bed and curled up at Blake's bare feet that hung outside of the blankets.

"I know, but I could come visit you whenever you are free and whenever you want me to come over."

"Really?"

"I'm traveling, I won't be in one specific place for a certain reason. I could stop by whenever."

He smiled and gave her another kiss, her lip ring being warm and not cold.

"You know I love you right?"

She hummed, "I love you too."

His smile brightened and he brought her naked, warm body into his own.
