December fifth. It was officially Blake and Jace's one year anniversary.

They both had said no gifts but they both got each other something anyways.

Jace had gotten Blake a black, leather camera bag. She talked about getting one once with him, but it was one of those things that she just wouldn't buy herself but would like it if she had got it.

Blake had gotten Jace a new laptop since his broke due to Michelle accidentally spilling her chocolate milk on it. Michelle cried and hid in her room so Jace wouldn't yell at her but he just gave her a hug and told her he wasn't mad. He was mad, but not at at her.

baby boy❤️: Good morning bubba, happy anniversary❤️

Bubba❤️: morning, happy anniversary

baby boy❤️: I'll see u in an hour, ya?

Bubba❤️: ok see you then:))

Blake got ready in a dark blue sweater, and black leggings. She had shin warmers that went above her combat boots and she combed her hair out, leaving it down.

"Sparrow, wanna go outside?"

He rushed out of her room and she let him out while she stuffed a waffle into the toaster to hold her over until they have their lunch later.

Sparrow ran in through the doggy door and Blake tossed him a treat from his treat jar as he walked to the living room.

"I'm heading out mom!"

She kissed Sparrow's head and left, Jace's present already in the passenger seat.

"Happy anniversary baby" Jace smiled at her.

"Ditto."

He gave her a soft kiss on her lips, "I thought we said no presents?" he asked her with a slightly raised eyebrow.

"We did, that was until I saw my present under your bed when I dropped my chapstick the other day."

Jace sighed and gave her a goofy smile before leading her upstairs.

"Mine first" he said eagerly.

He gave it to her, it was wrapped poorly around the whole thing with one of those cheap bows falling off of it.

"The wrapping is beautiful" she teased him.

"Be quiet and open it" he mumbled, his cheeks heating up a bit.

She ripped it open and bit her lip.

"You mentioned how you wanted one so I got it for you." He looked at her and his shoulders sank slightly, "you don't like it do you?"

"No I do it's really nice, thank you."

She leaned over and pecked his lips. She handed him his gift that was nearly wrapped.

"You have to step up your game if you want to beat my wrapping skills."

She snorted and his smile brightened at hearing the sound.

He opened it up and gasped, "you got me a new laptop?"

"Yeah, yours just broke."

"My gift is complete garbage next to this."

"What? No it's not, I love my gift. It's not even about the price anyways."

He gave her another kiss on the lips, hugging her body to him. "You're it for me."

Blake pulled back, furrowing her eyebrows together. "What do you mean?"

"It's only been one year but I don't even care. I'm going to marry you one day."

She smiled, her heart thumping rapidly in her chest. She has thought about marrying Jace a few times but she thought it was too soon to think like that. I mean they just reached one year. But no one understood her like he did, no one took the time to get underneath her tough skin besides Jace. She knew there would really be no other guy like him.

"Promise?" she asked him.

He admired the bright twinkle in her eyes. The one that he tried so hard to keep there all the time. It was that little twinkle that showed that she was truly happy. The little twinkle that was usually always there whenever they were together which made his heart soar. He loved seeing that bright look in her eyes. It made his heart flutter with happiness. He wanted nothing more to see that bright twinkle in her eyes every single time he saw her.

"I promise beautiful" he smiled at her.
