Blake didn't go to school the next day. She wasn't up for it and her mom didn't push her to go anyways.

She skimmed through her photos on her phone, Sparrow laying his head on her stomach as she does so, holding her arms up and her phone above her head.

Picking a photo, she decided to post on Instagram for the first time in a while.

Blake shut her phone off as it began to buzz and she pet Sparrow's head.

"When I graduate Sparrow, you and I will travel the country together" she said softly.

Sparrow only stared at Blake and adjusted himself so he was more comfortable.

"Hey Blake?"

Blake looked over at her mom who stood in the doorway.

"Jace is asking me if you are okay, he says you aren't answering him."

"Tell him I'm fine, if he stops by later just tell him I'm not home."

Susie gave her daughter a look but took the phone off hold, "she's fine Jace. Yeah, yup, okay bye."

Susie looked at Blake and sat down on the bed, petting Sparrow as she does so.

"Are you and Jace okay?"

"Yup."

She gave Blake a knowing look making her look up at the ceiling.

"He just flipped out yesterday for no reason and it pissed me off. I have the right to ignore him."

"You need to communicate with each other, ask him why he flipped out yesterday."

"I don't care why he flipped out, he didn't have the right to."

"If you want this relationship to work then you need to talk to him."

"I'm not cut out to be in a relationship"
she mumbled.

"Don't say that, you love Jace and he loves you."

"I know, but you know love isn't the only thing that keeps a relationship alive."

Blake rubbed her face roughly and played with her lip ring with her tongue.

"After one little fight you guys have you can't just block him out."

Blake gave her mom a look, "can you leave me alone please? I rather be alone."

Susie nodded and left silently. Blake focused her attention on Sparrow and kissed his head.

"It was a stupid little argument it's not a big deal" she mumbled to herself.

Blake really didn't know why she was feeling this way. They never fought and Jace just snapped at her yesterday for no reason. I guess she was expecting a relationship that her mom and dad had. They fought very rarely, and when they did her dad always ended up apologizing first because he was totally whipped and they were fine. But she can't expect her relationship to be just like what her parents had. That's what would probably ruin it.

Turning her phone back on, she didn't bother reading the texts Jace has sent her beforehand and texted him back.

Baby❤️: sorry for not answering you, i'm fine just didn't feel like going to school today

my skater boy❤️: I'm just glad u r ok, can I stop by later? We need to talk

Baby❤️: i guess

my skater boy❤️: Ok see u then

Blake tossed her phone at the end of her bed and curled into herself, her arm wrapped around Sparrow as she does so.

"Me and you buddy" she whispered to him.

Blake heard her door open which made her wake up but not open her eyes. She knew exactly who it was.

She heard Sparrow growl next to her as his whole body vibrated as he did so. She laid still, eyes closed when she heard Jace speaking to her dog quietly.

After listening to a few soft movement and thuds from Jace, she felt him lay next to her in bed, and slowly pulled her to his warm body.

"I know you're awake" he whispered.

He knew the minute he walked into the room and Sparrow growled that she was awake. That's how much of a light sleeper she was.

Blake didn't say anything, just gave a slight hum to confirm his statement.

"Why did you say disappearing and never coming back sounds so good right now?"

Blake shrugged, opening her eyes to look at her door.

"Don't say things like that."

She still didn't say anything and he turned her around so she was facing him.

"Why aren't you talking to me?"

"Why did you get so mad yesterday?"

Jace sighed and rubbed his face.

"I got a text from Taylor and she was saying shit about us and it just pissed me off."

Blake rubbed her nose with her sleeve and glanced up at Jace, "why do you even have her number still?"

He cleared his throat awkwardly and he stretched his forehead. "We talk, here and there."

Blake sat up and looked down at him, "you talk to her? I thought you hated her."

"I do, but we've been friends for years and since I started hanging out and dating you she just changed so now we aren't friends."

"So it's my fault?"

"I never said that!"

Blake raised her eyebrows at Jace and he sat up.

"I just ask her how her mom's doing and very few questions about our chem class. That's all."

"Your class is right after mine, I can tell you about chem."

"I know."

Blake stared down at Sparrow and played with his fur.

"I just think it's stupid you always say how much you hate her and how much she embarrasses herself when she talks about you but yet you still talk to her? You lied about hating her didn't you?"

"I didn't lie, stop putting words into my mouth" he groaned.

"I'm not putting words into your mouth, I'm just wondering why you even said you hate her when you talk to her sometimes. You don't ask someone you hate how their mom is and shit about chem when you can easily ask anyone else!"

"Being jealous is not a good look on you" he snapped.

"Yeah well lying isn't a good look on you."

"I wasn't lying" he growled.

"So you hate her?"

"Yes!"

Blake rolled her eyes and Sparrow went into Blake's closet due to their loud voices.

"You can go home now."

"Running away from your problems again Blake?"

"I don't run away from shit, you're giving me a huge headache, you're scaring my dog and quite frankly your face is pissing me off."

Jace stood up and put his shoes on quickly.

"I'm hanging out with Tony, and yes there will be girls there!"

"Aww I'm so fucking jealous!" Blake fake whined.

"Yeah well you should be!"

"I've seen the girls you guys hang out with, most of them cheat on their boyfriends, really not something I'm jealous of."

Jace glared harshly at Blake and he walked out of the room with Blake following behind her.

"You know, we would have been perfectly fine if you didn't talk to Taylor."

"Oh so now it's all my fault?!"

"Yeah pretty much."

Jace forced out a laugh and opened her front door.

"Maybe if you didn't ruin mine and Taylor's friendship then we wouldn't be in this situation now would we?"

He slammed the door in her face and she gasped before swinging it open again.

"Yeah well maybe if you kept your dick in your pants long enough you wouldn't have made a sex pact with her and she wouldn't have became so obsessed with you! Then we really wouldn't be in this situation now would we?!"

Blake slammed her front door shut and locked it before rubbing her forehead harshly.

Once again her and Jace argued for absolutely no reason leaving her with a headache.

She did not like this.
