The whole weekend Jace and Blake spent cuddling, watching movies and making out. He had blew off Tony four times and Tony was ready to give him a peace of his mind.

Jace held Blake's cold hands as they rushed inside the warm school building only to be stopped by Tony.

"Oh look who it is! Mr. Blow Off My Best Friend Four Times."

Blake snorted at Tony making him glare at her.

"You think I'm scared of that glare?" Blake asked as she stepped forward.

Tony took a step back before averting his attention to Jace.

"I wanted to hang out four times this weekend and you blew me off! Shame on you!"

"I'll make it up to you, sorry Tony."

"After work you are coming to my house and we are getting drunk."

"On a Monday?"

Tony shot another glare at Blake making her roll her eyes.

"I was gonna hang out with Blake after work" Jace said.

Tony was about to yell at him before Blake beat him to it.

"Hang out with Tony after work Johnny boy, he looks like he's gonna throw a tantrum."

"I am not going to throw a tantrum" he grumbled.

"Yeah, okay."

Blake walked away and Tony glared at her.

"Why did you have to date her?"

"You know why" Jace chuckled as he slung an arm over his shoulder.

"You just had to be in love with her" Tony grumbled.

Jace only smiled and it quickly faded when Taylor jumped right in front of them making them stop.

"What Taylor?"

"I got a new boyfriend!"

She yanked a freshman harshly out of nowhere, he looked rather scared of Taylor.

"Um, congrats?" Jace said.

"Try to not get jealous!"

"Trust me he won't" Tony laughed.

The freshman stood silently, his hands starting to shake feeling a panic attack coming on which made Jace notice that.

"Taylor just go to class, I'll walk you?"

Her eyes brightened and she nodded frantically, immediately forgetting all about the freshman she faked dated for a minute.

"Help him" Jace whispered to Tony.

Tony nodded and led the poor freshman away to help calm him down from the panic attack he was about to have.

"So you got jealous? Don't worry he wasn't my actual boyfriend."

"No I'm not jealous Taylor, I'm dating Blake."

She stopped walking and looked at Jace.

"You clearly don't like her if you are walking me to class."

"I only said that so the poor kid can stop having a panic attack, plus it's only a walk to class. We aren't getting married because I'm doing this."

She grumbled and stomped her foot like a child.

"What is up with you? You can't be that obsessed with me."

"I'm in love with you Jace!"

He sighed, immediately feeling bad.

"Look Tay, I'm sorry I wanted us to become a little more than friends. I'm sorry I don't feel the same way as you and I hope you find someone in the future who will treat you well."

He walked away, guilt flooding him as he walked to his first period class.

Blake sat alone in her barley lit room. It was lightly snowing outside and she sat at her windowsill writing a song. Fuzzy socks covered her feet as she scratched her head, a few strands of hair falling out of her bun as she did so.

She could hear her mom and London laughing loudly from the kitchen but it was slightly muffled due to her door being closed.

She shut her song book and sighed, feeling lonely. Whenever she was alone for a long period of time doing nothing it wasn't good. She always would think too much when she had nothing to distract her mind.

Since Blake's dad was allergic to dogs they could never get a pet. So since he wasn't there anymore, she decided to go to a rescue shelter.

She slid on her combat boots over her fuzzy socks and didn't bother changing out of her leggings and Jace's hoodie.

When Blake arrived at the shelter, she looked at all types of dogs that they had. She wanted a medium sized dog, not too big but not too small.

"Do you have any border collie's?" she asked someone.

"Yeah! Follow me."

She followed after the man in his twenties and looked at the six border collies in this huge cage area. They were all playing with each other and rolling around besides one. The one dog was laying down watching all the other dogs playing around and she smiled slightly at that.

"Can I see that one?"

The guy nodded and went in there and picked up the dog.

"His name is Max, we rescued him almost a year ago when he was only a few months old. He is already potty trained as well and is a little over a year."

The guy put him down on the floor and Blake stuck her hand out slowly so Max could sniff. When he got used to her scent, she went to pet him but he slightly flinched away.

"We assumed he got abused from his last owner, some little girl found him out on the streets and since her grandma is allergic she couldn't keep him."

Blake nodded and felt bad for the dog.

"I'll take him."

"Really? You don't even know how much he costs."

Blake shrugged and slowly began petting his back, not his head where he easily flinches.

"Okay then, I'll go get the paperwork."

Blake stayed on the floor, having the dog know that she isn't a threat to him.

"I'm going to adopt you, and I'm definitely changing your name."

She petted his soft fur and noticed all the dog hair landing on her black leggings already.

Once she filled out all the paperwork, she put Max in her car before driving to the pet store. She bought him all sorts of things before heading home.

Blake heard her mom and London down in the basement so she set up Max up in her room.

"Okay buddy, I got you all set up."

She watched as Max sniffed around the room and watched him as he observed his new home.

Her phone rang loudly, slightly spooking Max making her frown.

"It's okay Max, it's just my phone."

She answered it as Max continued sniffing her things.

"Hi Damon" she smiled.

"Uh, this is Jace?"

"Oh shit wrong boyfriend."

"Very funny Blake."

She snorted and she saw Max's ears slightly perk up at the sound.

"So why did you call?"

"I can't call my girlfriend after a long exhausting day from work and Tony just to say hi?"

"No you can't."

Jace grumbled over the phone and Blake played with her lip ring.

"I miss you."

"You saw me right when school ended."

"And? I still miss you."

Her heart fluttered at that but she stayed silent.

"I got a dog."

"You did? In just a few hours?"

"Yeah, his name is Max but I plan on changing it."

"What kind?"

"Border collie, he's really cute."

"Can I see him?"

Blake facetimed him and it connected immediately. She turned the camera around to show Max sniffing around.

"He is cute!"

Max turned to look towards the new voice and got confused when he didn't see anyone else.

"I'm sleepy" Blake yawned loudly as she turned the camera back around to her face.

"Poor baby" Jace pouted.

Blake rolled her eyes and rubbed her knuckles into her eyes.

"Is that my favorite red hoodie you're wearing?"

"You're the one who left it here."

Jace gave her a look over the phone to which she ignored. She yawned loudly once again and glanced over at Max.

"What were you and Tony doing?"

"He was drinking a lot, I only had two beers. Once he passed out I left."

"What a good friend."

Jace chuckled softly and admired Blake over the screen. He wanted to so badly to go over to her house and cuddle her but it was a school night. He also had to get used to not being able to hold her at night after high school whenever he wanted to. She will be traveling and he is going to college. Well at least if they stay together, he hopes they stay together.

"Can you come over?" Blake asked tiredly.

His heart clenched and he almost agreed but he knows his parents hate him fake sleeping over at Tony's house on school nights. They would ground him if they found out he was actually with Blake.

"I can't baby."

She nodded and wrapped her blankets around herself as she laid on her stomach.

"I'll see you tomorrow" she mumbled.

She let Max roam around her room, assuming he will just plop anywhere and she would be okay with it.

"Okay baby."

He stayed on the call until she was out, admiring once more his beautiful girlfriend. She was absolutely breathtaking to him and he thanks God every night for blessing him with her.

He really could not be more thankful.
