Jace finally worked up the courage to ask Blake out on a date. They have been sharing kisses for a week and a half, some make out sessions, so he figured now would be the perfect time to do it.

"So tonight at six I'll pick you up?" he asked with a smile.

She nodded and glanced around the halls. She spotted Taylor looking at their encounter with a bright red, angry face. She still absolutely despised Blake, but Blake only laughed at her.

"Dress up too."

She nodded and glanced at Taylor still watching their encounter and she smirked a little.

"Kiss before you go?"

He nodded with a smile and placed a gentle kiss on her lips he finds so addicting.

"Later skater" she whispered in his ear.

It was five thirty and Blake had just finished getting ready. She did her usual makeup look she always goes for, half her hair was up in a cute little bun as the rest flowed down her back. Since Jace told her to dress nice, she was wearing a black skater dress with her leather jacket over it. Blake did not want to wear heals so she got her nice pair of black high top vans.

She sat down waiting with a small smile as she looked at her dad's ashes.

"Hey dad, I'm going on my first date tonight" she said with a small smile.

She held the necklace in her hands and rubbed her thumb gently along the side.

"I know you always told me you would threaten the boy who takes me out on a date but don't worry. I do enough threatening" she said with a small laugh.

She glanced at her phone before smiling at the necklace.

"Bye dad, wish me luck tonight."

She set it down gently and a few moments later her phone began to bring.

"Hey Jace" she said with a smile.

She looked over her appearance again and sat down.

"Uh hey.."

She frowned at his voice and played with the end of her dress.

"What?"

"I'm going to have to cancel our date tonight."

Her heart dropped and she shrugged trying to play it off.

"Oh okay."

"I'm really sorry! Collin's at a friends house same with Avery and my parents are out at some dinner party. So I'm in charge of watching Gracie and Michelle."

"It's fine Jace" she said.

"I hope you didn't start getting ready" he sighed.

She glanced down at her finished outfit and kicked off her shoes.

"No I didn't, I'm glad you called I was just about to."

"Okay good, maybe next time yeah?"

"Okay."

She hung up and turned to her necklace.

"No need to wish me luck anymore dad."

She got undressed and took her hair out. She removed her makeup and got all ready for bed before climbing under her soft comforters.

Blake really hated getting so excited about something, sometimes it usually never works out. She was stupid for getting too excited.

Jace groaned as the call ended as he glanced at the two girls in front of him.

"Collin is so dead" he grumbled out.

"Why?" Gracie asked as she cleans up Michelle's face.

"I had to cancel my date with Blake! I finally asked her out and that bozo leaves for a friends house and I'm stuck here. He is so dead."

"I'm sorry JJ" Michelle frowned.

"That's okay, she didn't start getting ready and didn't sound disappointed."

"It's called acting Jace. Girls always get ready an hour before their first date, that's what Avery always told me. Blake was ready and you bailed so she is probably right now changing out of whatever she was wearing."

Jace felt even more guilty and groaned.

"Collin is so going to pay!"

Jace grumbled and the next two hours he waited until his parents got home. When they finally did he shot up.

"I'm going over Tony's house" he said.

"Oh, well it's almost eight. How long are you staying there?"

"All night" he said.

He ran upstairs and packed his bag before texting Blake.

Jace: Be there in 5

He rushed downstairs with his keys and kissed everyone on the cheek.

"Bye!"

He got in his car and called Tony as he threw his bag in the passenger seat.

"What's up?"

"Just in case my mom calls, I'm at your house tonight. Got it?"

"Got it, you going to Blake's for the night?"

"Yeah."

Jace hung up and drove to Blake's house. All the lights were off in the house besides the faint light coming from Blake's window. He parked across the street and walked up to the front door before knocking.

"Look who decided to show up" Blake said as she rubbed her bare face.

"Sleepover?" Jace questioned as he held up his bag.

"Don't be such a girl, come on."

She yanked him in and closed the door behind him.

"Mom and London are in the basement watching a movie."

She grabbed Jace's hand before pulling him up to her room. She locked the door behind them and jumped on her bed.

"This is our first sleepover" Jace stated as he set his bag in front of her dresser.

"Jace, seriously stop calling it a sleepover" Blake laughed. "But besides it's not, Halloween you slept here, I stayed at your house two nights and that other time not too long ago."

She patted the spot next to her and grabbed her remote.

"You pick something."

He nodded and he picked a Marvel movie. Blake glanced at Jace, a few minutes into the movie to see his attention entirely focused on the screen. She scooted closer to him and cuddled herself against his arm as he bit back a smile. He cuddled with her once and now he was doing it again. Which made his heart want to fall out of his chest.

After the first movie was done, they began to kiss for a while. Blake was straddling Jace as he held onto her waist. Blake's left hand held his face while her right laid against his chest. Their kiss wasn't anything bad, it was gentle and slow.

When they finally stopped, Blake stayed in her position but laid her head against his shoulder as her nose breathed into his neck.

"You know-"

"Shhh, no talking" Blake whispered.

Jace shivered as her breath hit his neck and she smirked at the affect she had on him. The teen boy began rubbing her back softly as she bit back a yawn.

Eventually she fell asleep and Jace didn't bother getting up to brush his teeth, he'd just brush them longer tomorrow morning.

He placed a gentle kiss on her forehead before slowly gathering up the blankets and placing it over them. He took his socks off with his toes before slowly pushing them off the bed under the blankets. His hold on the purple haired girl slightly tightened before loosening.

He was finally holding her in his arms again.
