Blake didn't feel like dressing up for school the next day. She was too lazy and tired to do anything.

So she threw on a pair of dark red joggers and a black baggy hoodie. She threw her hair up into a messy bun and just put foundation and concealer on to coverup a few acne spots that were coming in. She put black socks on before putting her slippers on her feet.

"Bye mom!"

When Blake got to school she kept her head down and music blasting in her ears. She bobbed her head slightly to the Beatles as she made her way to class, shrugging off the hand that was placed on her shoulder.

She sat in the room, staring at the picture of her dad as she wrapped her arms around her legs. Blake had her head resting on her knees as she played back the service they had for him.

All his actor friends came for it along with his family, singer friends and close non famous friends. Susie's side of the family came to support her during the hard time. But Blake felt alone.

The actors stuck together, the singers stuck together, Adam's family stuck together, and Susie's family stuck together. She was alone holding her sobbing mother as people made speeches about her father.

Then someone called her up.

She didn't want to give a speech, but she pushed back her tears and walked up confidently to the microphone.

"If you didn't know me, I am Adam's daughter Blake."

Blake didn't know how else to start and she glanced at Chris who gave her an encouraging smile. She glanced at her mom to see her crying again.

"He was an amazing actor, singer, brother, son, uncle, friend and most importantly an amazing dad."

She breathed out quietly to herself and glanced up at the sky for a few seconds before staring at the open space on the dead grass.

"He is my best friend, we did so many things together. He taught me how to skate, we would go skating all the time and he taught me how to not be afraid of what people think of me."

Blake folded her arms over her chest when wind began to blow softly.

"His nickname for me was princess, he always said I was his little princess. He always made sure I was okay and when he stayed at work late shooting a movie or a show he would always call me and sing our song. It was our tradition since I was born. Adam is a true hero, he helped everyone around him and was always able to put a smile on anyone's face."

Blake blinked her tears away and glanced at the picture of her dad smiling happily.

"His smile will always be my favorite. He is now watching over us in heaven like our guardian angel."

Blake stepped away from the microphone and whispered to the picture as she passed it.

"Fly high my angel."

After she gave her speech Chris walked up to give his. It made Blake want to cry but she didn't, she held her mother as she sobbed at Chris' words.

"Adam was like a brother to me. He was always there for me whenever I needed him. To when we were on set and I had Jack he would watch him whenever I had to film a scene. He was a kind hearted man, always willing to help others who needed the help."

Chris then looked at Blake and Susie before continuing.

"If you weren't close to Adam you wouldn't understand how much he talked about his wife Susie and his daughter Blake. He worshiped the ground they walked on. Whenever they asked him to do something he would do it that second. He was always talking about how in love he was with Susie and how much he loved his little princess Blake. He always said that they were his world and would do anything for them."

Blake squeezed her eyes shut as her mom held onto Blake tighter.

"He would always say that he was incredibly lucky to have a wife like Susie and to have a daughter like Blake. Whenever he was around the two of them his eyes lit up and his whole attitude would be lifted."

As he continued his speech he ended off with saying something that stuck out to Blake.

"I remember one time Adam had a really bad day on set, he was in the worst mood and Susie knew that so they went to go visit him on set. At the time, Adam was grumpy he was yelling at people he was just a bad person to be around. But once he saw Blake who was twelve at the time running into the room his entire mood just lifted. His smile was so wide as he crouched down to give her a hug. His mood was immediately better. Adam was truly the best husband and father to those two girls. I hope he is having a blast up in heaven right now. I love you brother."

As Blake recalled all the stories she squeezed her arms tighter around herself as if to protect herself from anymore harm that will come her way.

She needed a hug.

She texted Chris and he said he would be there soon.

So she stayed in the same place until she heard the door open.

"Come here."

Blake stood up and Chris immediately pulled her into a hug. He held her tightly as she clutched onto his jacket with a firm grip. He saw her like a little kid, helpless, not knowing what to do.

"It's going to be okay Blake, I know it's hard. It's hard on all of us."

She nodded but never let go of Chris, he always gave her the best hugs since her father passed.

"It's going to get easier, maybe not now, maybe not in a year but it will get better. There are days worse than others but that's all apart of grief."

Blake took in his words and nodded. After a couple more minutes Chris pulled away.

"You okay kiddo?"

The teen nodded her head and crossed her arms over herself.

"Today was just worse than the other days and I needed a hug."

Chris sent her a smile and adjusted his baseball cap.

"I really hate to leave you but I have to go pick up Jack."

"That's okay."

Blake walked him out and she saw Jace getting out of his car.

"Who's that?" Chris asked her as he kept his head angled down.

"A friend I guess."

Chris smirked slightly at her and Blake fake gagged.

"No."

He laughed at her and Jace watched the two in the distance. Chris got in his car but rolled down his window.

"Take care kid okay?"

Blake nodded and she pecked Chris' cheek.

"Tell Jack that I miss him and to text me" Blake said.

Jace couldn't help but overhear their conversation and became slightly jealous over whoever Jack was.

"I will, he misses you too. He made me go out and buy him a skateboard so you can teach him to skate."

Blake put on a small smile.

"Good, I'm teaching him whenever he comes over again. Bye Chris take care."

"You too Blake."

Chris sent her one last smile before she backed away from the car and he backed out of her driveway.

Jace walked up to Blake but she quickly turned and walked fast towards her front door.

"Blake! Hey wait!"

She didn't turn around but he grabbed onto her arm and pulled her to a stop.

"What Jace?"

"I'm sorry I made you feel that way, I didn't mean to. Just please stop acting like this."

"Acting like what? Myself?"

"No, all quiet and rude."

"That's how I've always been John! I'm sorry that I hate everyone at our school, they all fucking suck and I really don't like you being embarrassed to be seen with me in a store when you begged me to be your friend!"

"I wasn't embarrassed! I didn't want them causing a scene, you and I both know that they would."

Blake rolled her eyes and turned around sharply before walking towards her front door.

"Don't be like this."

"I'm in a really bad mood today and I do not want you making it worse. So please go home."

"Can I at least get your number? You haven't even given me that yet."

Blake clenched her first and puffed out before turning around.

"Fine, but I swear to god if any of your jock friends find out my number I will not be afraid to kick your ass in front of all of them."

He gulped but nodded and she put her number in his phone.

"Don't make me regret this."

He nodded rapidly and she went inside and he didn't bumped the air. He quickly looked down and added a name to her contact.

BlakeπŸ’œ

He smiled the entire way to his house.

Later that night Blake laid staring at the ceiling listening to music as her phone binged. She rolled her eyes at her phone knowing it was Jace and changed his contact name from just a number.
