Blake didn't go to school the next day. She didn't feel up for it.

So she stayed in bed all day wearing spandex and a big t shirt with black fuzzy socks on her feet. Her hair was in a messy bun and her face was bare of makeup.

She didn't have an appetite, and her mother sat on the couch since she didn't work today.

"Hey honey" her mom smiled at Blake as she finally got out of bed.

Blake waved at her mom and Susie walked into the kitchen.

"I'm going out with an old friend today, is that fine?"

Blake nodded and sipped on a glass of water.

"Great! I promise I won't stay out too late."

Blake furrowed her eyebrows.

"Mom you're forty-five, I don't care how late you stay out" Blake said.

"I just wanted to let you know so you don't wait up for me."

"You're an adult I trust you not to do anything stupid. Why are you acting like I'm your mom?"

Susie only laughed and went up to her room.

Blake followed after her and peeked in her mother's room.

"Are you okay mom?"

"Yeah! I'm great."

"Oh? Okay?"

Blake slowly walked away and down to the living room to watch some tv.

Jace frowned not seeing the beautiful purple haired girl anywhere in sight. He sighed and walked to his first period class.

Jace did miss Blake today. He wanted to try and talk to her even though she yelled at him to stop. But she hasn't since they were partners on a project.

"Hey baby" Taylor whispered huskily in Jace's ear.

He looked at Taylor and shrugged her off his shoulder.

"Don't call me that Taylor, I thought you said we couldn't be friends?"

Taylor frowned slightly but covered it up quickly.

"I'll be your friend, if we do a little extra on the side" she winked.

Jace couldn't help but compare Taylor and Blake together. Blake always wore dark clothing and stood out while Taylor wore girly things like skirts and heels while blending in. Taylor has brown hair while Blake has purple hair that made her stand out more. Taylor had light hazel eyes as Blake had dark brown eyes, she also had tan-ish skin while Taylor had more of a darker complexion to her. Blake was also badass and confident as Taylor tried to act confident but words could easily hurt her. She was sensitive and Blake wasn't. Blake was hard to get and mysterious as Taylor was now easy to get and an open book.

They were complete opposites and Jace was just drawn to Blake more.

"I cut it off for a reason Tay, you can do so much better then me."

"But I only want you" she pouted.

He knew Blake would never beg for a guy's attention like Taylor is doing now. It would be the guy begging for her attention and she wouldn't give them the time of day.

"Please just stop, I have somewhere to be."

He jogged away from the brunette as she frowned at Jace.

After Jace cleaned up after practice he made the spontaneous decision to go to Blake's house.

Blake heard a knock on her door and she paused Supernatural and opened the door.

"Why are you at my house?" she asked Jace who stood on her door mat that laid on her front porch.

Jace admired the beauty who had no makeup on her face and wore her pajamas. She just got more beautiful in his eyes.

"I just wanted to know why you weren't at school."

"Didn't want to go."

"That's all?"

"What's it to ya?"

"I was just curious."

Blake rolled her eyes and crossed her arms over her chest.

"Didn't I already talk to you that I don't do friends and won't be friends with you?" Blake groaned.

"Can you give me a valid reason why?"

"I already told you."

"No I mean why me specifically, what's so bad about me?"

Blake rolled her eyes and rubbed her sore eyes. She wanted to go back on the couch, curl into a ball with a blanket wrapped around her and finish watching Supernatural.

"You're a jock and we have nothing in common."

"You don't know that."

"You like football and I don't, I never seen you skateboard and I love skateboarding, natural brown hair, I like dyeing my hair, you like being friends with idiots and I don't, I like getting tattoos, you don't. Must I go on?"

Jace shook his head.

"But if we had something in common would you be my friend?"

Blake rolled her eyes and glanced at her tv. She wanted this conversation to be over.

"Whatever, now can you fuck off?"

Jace smiled.

"Bye Blake."

He turned around and walked off her porch and Blake shut the door before going back on the couch.

Once Jace got in his car he went to a few different stores before buying a skateboard.

When he got it, he looked up YouTube videos about skateboarding.

Jace wanted to learn for Blake. He would do whatever it takes to become close with her.
