Blake followed the youtube workout as she usually did.

She always followed online workouts to keep her in shape, but she does do her own stuff when it comes to fighting. She looks up certain fighting stances and moves to do but she learns on her own.

She had a good body. She worked this hard since freshman year and it paid off. Blake liked the body she had worked for. She was definitely more confident in herself than she was in middle school.

Wiping off her sweat, she finished her workout with some cool off stretches and left the room.

"Hey mom" Blake smiled.

Her mother was in the living room.

"Blake! Hey!" she slurred.

Blake stopped what she was doing and put her things down as she saw her mom with a bottle of alcohol in her hands.

"Mom, why did you do this again?" she asked with a sigh.

"I saw him" she mumbled out.

"Saw who?" Blake asked as she grabbed the bottle from her hands.

"Your father, I saw him in the passenger seat. He told me to move on."

Blake didn't say anything as she dumped out the remaining alcohol and threw it away.

"I don't wanna move on from him Blake."

"Okay mom, lets get you to your room."

Blake picked her up and carried her to her room.

She would never admit it but Blake feels like she is the mom between the two. She always looks after her mother and takes care of her. Ever since her father died her mother just stopped looking after her as much as she did and the roles switched. Blake never was able to grieve the way everyone said she should, she was too busy focusing on her mother. Plus she hated crying.

"You're getting reckless now mom, you can't do that" Blake said as she laid her down in her bed.

"You don't get it" she said as she looked at her daughter.

"Don't get what?" she asked as she covered her up with her blankets.

"The pain."

Blake looked at her like she was crazy.

"Excuse me?" she questioned.

"I lost him Blake you don't get it" she said as she shut her eyes.

"Are you kidding? I know you're drunk but you are not the only one who lost someone. He was my dad! Don't ever say I don't get it because I do!"

Blake never gets mad at her mother but her saying this was too far.

Susie mumbled a few more words and Blake shook her head.

"You aren't the only person hurting, so don't even say that I don't know the pain because you have no idea how I handle my shit."

Blake walked out and took a shower to cool herself down.

When she finished she made sure no alcohol was in the house before leaving. Even though she was wearing dark blue sweats and a dark grey hoodie with her purple hair wet she didn't care. She wanted to get out.

She took a drive with the windows rolled down making her hair dry a lot faster. She ended up at a Dunkin Donuts.

Not wanting to go through the drive thru she walked inside as her keychain hung out of her sweatshirt pocket.

"Hey look it's the purple haired freak!"

Blake looked over at Taylor and a few jocks sitting with her and the other few cheerleaders. She didn't understand why Taylor was being a bitch to her because she saw Jace talk to her a few times. Blake thought she was pretty, no denying that. But having her act like this was just ugly. She was hung up on a guy who clearly didn't like her back.

A few jocks laughed and Blake flipped them off before ordering an egg, sausage and cheese sandwich on a croissant. She also got a raspberry iced tea.

"You gonna be a little baby and ignore us?" Taylor asked loudly.

The table snickered besides Jace who was glaring at an oblivious Taylor.

"Taylor I am not in a good mood and I swear to god I will take this out to the parking lot so we can fight" Blake snapped.

"Do you think you scare me? Because you don't. We all know I would win in a fight" she laughed loudly.

Blake grabbed her bag and iced tea and walked over to the table.

"Okay let's go then" Blake shrugged.

Taylor laughed nervously and glanced around the table.

"No I just got my nails done so I can't."

"So you must be scared. Don't open your mouth if you don't want to put it into action" Blake said sweetly as she sipped on her iced tea.

"Yeah Taylor, if you want to be all talk you have to put your words into action" Jace said.

Jace knew Blake could easily beat her ass.

Taylor glared at Jace and the entire table started chanting her name making the employees at the small Dunkin Donuts start whispering whether or not to kick them out.

"Okay fine, but if I don't fight well it's because I don't want to break a nail" Taylor said as she stood up.

"Then you shouldn't have opened your mouth sweetheart" Blake smirked.

She walked out to her car and put her stuff inside. She walked back to the group and the jocks and two other cheerleaders stepped aside.

Blake tied her hair up in a bun, she knew Taylor would most likely go for the hair if she could.

"Try not to go for my hair" Taylor glared.

"I'm not a little bitch, I won't rip your extensions out don't worry."

Someone said go and Blake waited for her to make the first move but she didn't. So she did.

She acted like she was going to her her left side but she hit her right making her fall onto the cement on the parking lot. She landed one kid to her stomach as the teen girl cried out.

She didn't get up but stayed on the ground whimpering.

"I don't know why you keep testing me Taylor. Save us both the time of energy and keep your mouth shut. Try me again and it will be worse."

Jace stared at Blake in pure adornment. He didn't think his crush on Blake could get any bigger but it has. She was a total badass and didn't take shit from anybody. She was able to take care of herself and walk around proudly because that's just who she was.

That's what he admired about her.

Blake got in her car, not wanting to hit Taylor anymore but Jace quickly went up to it and knocked on the window.

"What?" she asked as she rolled it down almost half way

"Can you roll it down a little more?"

"Nah I'm good."

"Well that was pretty cool what you did" he said.

"Okay."

Jace didn't know what else to say so he stood there awkwardly. Blake rolled her eyes and started rolling up her window.

"Wait! Taylor was supposed to bring me home but her friends are taking her home now. Can you bring me?" Jace asked.

Taylor was never his ride home. He just saw his group of friends surrounding Taylor and he wanted to spend some time alone with Blake.

"The amount of times I give you a ride I should start making you give me gas money" Blake said.

She said it so seriously that he thought she was completely serious. But Blake was partly kidding.

"Oh right, here."

He pulled a twenty out of his pocket and tossed it through the window. Blake put it in her wallet and shook her head towards the passenger side door.

"Hop in before I change my mind."

He quickly walked around and jumped in the seat. He ducked down slightly knowing his friends won't shut up tomorrow about him being with Blake if they saw.

"Embarrassed to be seen with me John?" Blake asked as she turned left out of the parking lot.

Jace smiled slightly at her calling him by his middle name but shook his head.

"No, they would just make up things. If they saw they would say we hooked up."

Blake snorted before biting into her breakfast sandwich. She took a few sips of her iced tea when she finished chewing before talking again.

"Jocks are unbelievable, my old school everyone acted the same. But at this school all the jocks and cheerleaders act like they are superior" she grumbled.

"No they don't" Jace said.

"Says the jock himself, you guys act like because you are on the football team and a cheerleader you should have everyone bow down to you. There are other sports in the school that are just as good or even better than football."

"Okay, like what?"

"Baseball, softball, wrestling, basketball, volleyball and soccer."

Jace nodded and Blake continued eating her sandwich.

"Have any plans tonight?" Jace asked.

"None of your business."

Jace nodded and Blake broke the silence this time surprising him.

"You should really tell your fan club to leave me alone. They keep testing me and it pisses me off."

Jace stared at Blake and she rolled her eyes.

"Stop staring at me you creep."

She sipped her tea and parked in front of his house.

"I'll tell them to stop but they aren't my fan club."

"Yeah okay, keep telling yourself that John."

Jace got out and Blake took off.
