Ava wake up! WAAKE UP! I opened my eyes and saw a little girl standing by my bed. I couldn't make out her face, it was nothing, but a blur.

"Why are you in my room?" I asked annoyed and sitting up.

"I just wanted to make sure I was the first thing you see in the morning." The girl said cheerfully with a smile with very little teeth.

"Now my eyes hurt, looking at the sight I see." I said in a mindless tone.

"You're such a meany head." She said hitting me playfully, "But I still love you." She said smiling big again.

"How'd you get in my room?"

She turned to look at me and smiled, "your mom."

"Ava? Ava are you still with us?"

I was woken up from my dream, thank god, by a light shinning in my face. "I'm up, now get that out of my face." I said rudely.

The nurse turned off the flashlight, "Sorry it's my job to make sure you're still ok and well." She said smiling. "Anyways I came in here to tell you that you're all ready to go home. You're ready to be checked out anytime before 7 pm today. So feel free to slowly get up and use the bathroom, while I get ahold of your parents." The nurse said smiling and walking out of the room.

"About time." It was so disgusting laying in bed peeing through a tube. I slowly got up still feeling pain spreading throughout my body, but I didn't care since I had to use the bathroom.

I walked into the bathroom slowly sitting down and started going pee. Where's Red? Oh yeah I'm in the hospital.

"Hello is anybody here?" I looked at the door thinking, who would even be here, but remembered Camren said her and..... Ella would be coming by, one last time before I go home.

I walked out of the bathroom straight to my bed.

"Hey weirdo, how are you feeling?" She asked while plopping down on the bed next to me.

"Fine, just ready to get out of this place." I answered bluntly.

She laughed, "Yeah we both miss you a lot and would feel a lot better knowing you'll finally be home too."

I looked at Camren then at the other girl, Ella.

"So Ella, why do you love me?" I asked with a blank face in an impulsive tone.

Her cheeks reddened, I don't know why, and her eyes widened as she looked at Camren then me, "umm, I don't think it's the best time for me to tell you right now." She said.

"Ok." Was all I said.

We continued talking for a while, until my parents got here to take me home. Throughout our whole conversation I couldn't help, but look at Ella feeling curious. She's not that bad looking. But if she knows I don't remember her, how come she still hangs around? But still, the more I look at her the more I feel like I do know her. I pushed the thought aside, mostly because I hate thinking about things that will cause me problems. It's probably just because people told me that we knew each other, before I got mugged. That reminds me.

"Did anyone ever get my art supplies, the night I was mugged?" I asked. They both looked at each other.

"I think the cops collected them and kept them as evidence." Ella said.

"Which reminds me." Camren said getting up. "Have the cops even been trying to find out who did this too you?" She said looking at me and Ella.

Ella shrugged her shoulders, "I don't know. Probably."

"Well if they are they're doing a shit job." Camren said getting angry. Hey I guessed it right this time. I usually get angry and happy mixed up, but not this time.

"I guess that's what happens when you're in a town with a bunch of lazy cops." Ella said sighing.

"You know what? I'm gonna figure out who did this to you." Camren said looking at me with a serious face.

"Me too." Ella said getting up. "I wan to make sure whoever did this to you doesn't get away with it."

I looked at them sitting up to change into my clothes that was folded on my bed, left from last night when my parents came by.

"Why does it matter? I mean I probably deserved whoever did this to me." I said in a nonchalant tone.

They looked at me mouths open, probably surprised, "No one deserved that. Especially you." Ella said looking upset.

I sighed, "Whatever. Can you two turn around while I change?" I asked. They nodded there heads and turned around.

I began slowly changing out of my hospital gown into a pair of jeans and long sleeve t-shirt, even if it is like 87 degrees outside.

Its kinda hard changing with just one eye, I thought as I was struggling to put my jeans on. Putting my shirt on wasn't this hard. I finally got my right leg in, but when I began putting my other leg through the hole I felt myself slip off the bed. Here comes the pain, once I hit the floor.

"Gotcha!" I looked up to my left and saw Ella standing there holding me.

"I told you not to look at me." I spat out.

Ella just smiled, "it's a good thing I did or you would've hurt yourself."

"Wait what happened?" Camren asked turning around looking at us. "Why are you guys like that?"

Ella looked at her smiling, "She almost fell, but I caught her just in time before she did."

I just looked at her, she's right, but she's still a perve. "You can let me go perve." I said thinking out loud.

"Yeah." Camren agreed while walking towards us and helped me up.

Ella just smiled, "You're such a meany head Ava." I turned and looked at her. Why do I feel like I've heard those words before.

"Aaaava ready to go home?" My mom said barging into the room, but stopped. "Am I interrupting something?" she said looking at us. Why would she think she's interrupting something. I thought as I continued putting on my jeans.

She shook her head, "It's just me taking you home since your dad is working, so ready to go?" I buttoned my jeans and walked out of the door.

"Ok I guess we're leaving then. See y'all later." My mom said waving to Camren and Ella.

"See you Monday at school!" Camren hollered.

"You could've said bye to them you know. They really care about you."

I looked at my mom, "Ok and I care why?"

She lifted her hands, "I'm just saying." She sighing.

"Hello Ava. It's sure been a while." My therapist said smiling.

"It's been nearly 4 months, since the last time I saw you."

"Yes it has, so how are you feeling?" She said putting her glasses on. So she wears glasses now.

"I just got out of the hospital on Friday."

She looked through the papers in her clipboard, "SoI've heard. Your parents told me about your incident. I'm glad to see you're doing alright." She smiled.

"Obviously I'm not since I'm back here." I said in a rude tone.

"Well from what your parents and doctor has told me, they said that you lost some of your memories and ended up going back to your old state, but not fully." Mrs. Adams said studying me and writing down things in her note book. So I'm not fully emotionless? How can she tell? "Would you like to talk about it?"

"Not really, I hate thinking about things that cause me problems."

"I'm aware of that, but I feel like if you try talking about your issues, you might end up triggering memories you may have lost."

I started feeling irritated at this point, everyone's just so nosy.

"As your therapist and a friend, I think you should just try opening up a little bit. It will help ease any tension you're bottling up." She said looking at me with her hands crossed in her lap.

I just sat there staring at her not saying anything. How will that help any if I don't remember certain things?

"It was nice talking to you, but I'm gonna go." i said.

Instead of trying to convince me to stay like she always does, she just sat there and sighed, "I understand, I'll be looking forward to our next session next week and hopefully you'll try opening up to me more." I ignored her and left the room. She really thinks I'll open up? I don't see why, I don't have anything hiding inside.

*******************

"Are you sure you're ready to go back to school?" My mom asked.

"Yeah, so if you don't mind, I'll see you later."

She sighed in defeat, "ok well have a good day then.. I love you."

Love?

"Love you too." I shut the door, walked down the porch steps to my car and got in. It's good to be driving again. I dug in my pockets for my car keys, but remembered they were stolen. I guess I'm walking.

After 15 minutes of painfully walking to the school I found the nearest bench to sit down and rest. These stitches are such a pain, I thought while holding my stomach.

"Hey the Weirdo's back!" A guy announced. I looked up and saw it was Steven. He slid on the bench by me patting my back hard. I flinched in pain, which he noticed. "Does that hurt?" He asked smirking.

I got up and stood away from him, "Don't you have a girlfriend to entertain you or something?"

He stood there looking at me confused. "I don't have a girlfriend, because I'm still furious! You should know that out of all people."

"I don't know what you're talking about."

He got up, "Don't you remember, I made you, pretty much dump Ella, and told you to tell her to date me?" I shook my head no. I noticed him getting irritated. "You should. I mean because of you she dumped me for you." I shook my head no again still not knowing what he's talking about. He ran his hand through his hair then looked at me in the eyes. "You really don't remember do you?" Is he an idiot?

"No I don't. Now can you leave me alone?"

His face formed a smile, "That's great." He said quietly to himself, but I heard it.

"What?"

He looked up at me and just smiled, "Nothing, well see you around Weirdo. Now if you don't mind, I need to wash my hands." He said walking past me, shoulder checking me, making me stumble backwards.

"Gotcha again." I already know who it is.

"You can let go Ella." She steadied me and let me go.

"I'm just trying to help my wif- , I mean, umm never mind." She said looking away.

What was she going to say?

"So why was Steven talking to you?" I looked back to where Steven was at and looked back at Ella.

"If you must know he just said something about you and him dating, but you broke up with him for me, but he's just glad I didn't remember any of that."

Ella blushed then looked at me confused, "Why would he be glad about your memory loss?"

"I don't know and don't really care. Now I need to head to class." Ella just stood there thinking, so I decided to head to class, but bumped into people on my way their. I blame this eye patch.

"Here let me help."

"I don't need-

But was cut off when I felt two arms sweeping me up off my feet. Am I being carried, bridal style?

"Why are you doing this?"

"Because I care about you a lot." She sighed and looked at me in the eyes, "Because I love you." She loves me? Wait what's love again?

"Oooo get you one Ella." A guy blurted out while watching her carry me. Everyone else turned and looked at us whistling, but she ignored them, still looking at me in the eyes, but I looked away feeling uncomfortable.

"You can put me down here." I said as we were now in front of my class room.

She put me down and smiled. "I'll see you later Ava." Then on impulse, she kissed me on the cheek. Her eyes widened like she realized something, "I shouldn't have done that. I forgot you're still with Camren." I kinda forgot about her. Ooops.

"It's ok I won't tell her." I said as I opened the classroom door to walk in.

She smiled, "Thanks, I'll see you at lunch." I walked into the class shutting the door behind me and made my way to my seat.

I sat down and held my cheek. Her kiss feels familiar. Has she done something like this before. I shrugged it off like I always do with everything else. Why do I care? Anyways would it offend Camren if I think Ella's kiss feels better on my cheek than hers? Surely not.
