"Issac Austin Evans, please tell me you are kidding?"

"I am not." he says with a smirk on his face.

"You are taking me to New York City for Valentine's Day!" I squeal and look up at him with the biggest smile on my face. He leans down a kisses my forehead. He wheels our suitcases into his personal jet and I follow behind.

"Who packed my stuff?"

"Zoe." He says and leaves our suitcases at the front of the jet. I look around at the jet. It is smaller than Armani's jet, but that makes sense. It is only Issac and I, not like 8 people. This jet is designed with white and grey and it basically resembles the Evan's house.

"Wanna see our room?" Issac asks with a grin on his face.

Our

I smile and nod my head. He rests his hand on the small of my back and guides me to a room with a white slide door. He slides the door open.

I gasp looking at the beautiful room in front of me. I walk in slowly afraid that if I walk too hard I may break the floor or something.

Stupid, right?

This room looks similar but at the same time different than the rest of the jet. The walls are white and there are 4 windows in the room giving in a generous amount of light into the room. The king sized bed in the middle of the room has a big white duvet with big white and golden colored pillows on it. The ceiling has a beautiful golden design on it adding to the rooms majestic look of the entire room. There is a plush white couch on the left of the room right in front of a wall TV.

"T-this is beautiful. I want to ask how can you afford all of this, but I already know." I tell him honestly and touch the silky soft duvet. The room smells like cinnamon.

Like Issac.

"We have a 3 hour flight in store so you can change into more comfortable clothes. Oh let me show you the bathroom." He holds out his hand and I take it and he guides me out the room and to a door right near our room. He opens it and we walk in. He turns on the light revealing a bathroom the size of my room.

"No way." I mutter. This is bigger than Armani's.

There is a stand up shower, a jacuzzi tub and then there are 2 conjoined sinks. It is literally something out of a bathroom design catalog. I look over the the sink and on it is a whole collection of Cantu products, all of which I use. I turn around to Issac with a smile.

"You didn't buy me the whole Cantu collection."

"Oh, I did. And a diffuser, hair dryer, and a straightner." He says with a proud smile on his face. I wrap my arms around his waist, interlocking my hands behind his back and looking up into his grey eyes.

"You didn't have to do all of this."

"A simple thank you would suffice." He says and smirks.

"We speak too much." I whisper out and lean up and brush my lips against Issac's, not tearing my eyes away from his for a moment. I watch as his light grey eyes slowly turn darker and darker until it is a dark stormy grey. I close my eyes and connect my lips with his. His soft lips glide against mine slowly, but nonetheless causing an onslaught of butterflies to erupt in my stomach and tingles to spread all throughout my body.

I lean down, a big smile on my face.

"We should do more of that later."

"Why not now?" I ask and trail my finger on his chest with a suggestive look in my eye.

Since when was I this confident?

"As much as I would love to do that, I have some work to do."

"Work?"

"Yeah, I have to fill out this online form for the lacrosse program at Duke."

"I am so proud of you. I am so happy that you are following your heart and doing lacrosse and not business." I praise him with a smile on my face.

"Yeah, so am I. Alright, I'm gonna start on that now." He says and walks out the bathroom. I walk back to our room and dig through my suitcase for pajamas.

No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no

Oh Jesus Christ.

Zoe is a bitch.

I groan out in frustration and stomp over to my phone and dial my sister's number. She answers on the 3rd ring.

"Hiya."

"You crazy hoe. Why did you put those pajamas in my suitcase."

"Because Bay, you dress like an old hag when going to bed. You are probably sleeping with Issac, I mean that in both meanings if you get what I mean." she says and giggles.

Bitch.

"You need to spice it up. Enjoy!"

"That is practically lingerie Zoe!" I yell on the phone, holding the black satin slip nightdress in my hand.

"You are with your boyfriend not some guy."

I can feel my patience dwindling.

"I. will. kill. you." I threaten and hang up the phone. I decide to take out a pair of shorts and a a cropped tube top.

I hop into the shower and wash my hair and scrub my body thoroughly.

Once I am out the shower, I quickly put on my clothes and towel dry my hair and leave it out. Once I finish everything, I walk to Issac who is seated at a table on his laptop, typing insanely fast. I slide into the seat across from him and he looks up from his laptop and looks at me. His eyes briefly flicker to my chest that looks bigger than usual due to the top.

Issac sighs and shakes his head and looks back at his laptop with a small smile on his lips.

"What?"

"You are distracting me."

"By doing what?" I ask innocently, knowing damn well what I am doing.

"You know." He says and looks up into my eyes. A smirk makes its way to my face and I bite my bottom lip and look away and out the window at the big white clouds.

"Bayyy" Issac growls out and gives me the look.

The look is the look that shows that Issac is turned on by something that I am doing and I am usually purposely doing it and usually at the wrong time, therefore distracting him.

"Alright, I'll go." I surrender and get up. His eyes travel down to my exposed legs and his Adams apple bobs up and down.

Mission accomplished.

I look to the table across from us and there is a bottle of white wine. I take it and a glass and strut away and back to our room.

"Don't drink too much!" He yells out. I walk into the room and pour myself a glass of wine and sip it while cracking open a new book I am reading: P.S I Love You by Cecilia Ahern.

A knock at the door snaps me out of my little bubble.

Poor Holly.

I look up to see the flight attendant, Katherine, standing at the door frame.

"Sorry to bother you Ms. Stewart, Mr. Evans wanted to ask you if you wanted anything to eat or if you need anything. I can get it for you." She says with a warm smile.

"Uh a water and if you have a Caesar salad also that would be nice Katherine."

"Ok." she says and walks off. I resume reading my book despite feeling my eyelids weigh down and become heavy.

The last thing I see before falling asleep was Issac with a tray of food on it walking over to me.

...

"Holy mother of hearts!" I exclaim as I look at the scene in front of me. Issac took me to what is called Times Square in New York. Tall buildings with huge screens on them advertising magazines, Broadway plays, Dior, etc fill the streets. Hundreds, but what looks like thousands, of people rush on the streets, surrounding us and bustling by. Couples walk, hand in hand, down the street giving each other looks of adoration, while other couples are just kissing.

Issac and I are standing in front of the Valentine's Day heart in Times Square.

"It's huge! It's so cool. I want to touch it." I say feeling excited. Right now a couple is in front of the heart, kissing while some lady is taking a picture of them.

"We are taking a picture." Issac says, rubbing his hands together for warmth.

May I add that New York is cold as f-

"We're up." He says with a smile and walks over to the lady and gives her his phone. He holds his hand out for me and I take it happily and walk with him to the glass heart. The winter light hits the glass heart reflecting radiant rainbow colors that pop up on the heart.

"Look up." Issac says and I look up into his grey eyes that are twinkling with happiness.

"Smile" He says and smiles like a Cheshire cat. I snort and cover my mouth, but I can't help but howl out in laughter.

"Don't do that again." I advise him through my laughter.

"Do what? This" He does the the smile again and I bite my lip to hold in my laughter. "Or this." He says and snakes his hand around my waist and dips down capturing my lips. He uses his teeth to release my lip from my teeth's grip and starts kissing me.

How does he manage to make me feel like this?

I feel like my whole body is on fire when he kisses me or even simply caresses my skin with his thumb. He could be touching my arm and I can feel the tingles all the way in the pit of my stomach.

The audience around us starts clapping, which is probably a signal that we should hurry up. I lean away and look at the audience around us with a heated blush on my cheeks. I walk up to the lady and take the the phone after thanking her for taking the photos. Issac comes up behind me and we look at the pictures, me laughing at the one with that dopey smile on his face and him laughing when I was blushing.

"So what's next?"

"I have to go book our hotel and then after that-" Issac smiles to himself. "I am not telling you. Lets go." He says and hold my hand out to me. I take it and the feeling of safety and security fills me. As we rush through the large crowd of people, at any moment something bad can happen to me. I can get robbed, shot, stabbed, who the hell knows, but as my hand is in Issac's and he guides me through the crowd, I feel safe and all the possible bad ways things can end slowly fade out my head.

"We are doing this New Yorker style." He says and walks up to this green underground passage. A sign says 'Time Square-42nd st.' We walk down some stairs and more stairs. A big crowd of people are under here and the sound on the speaker keeps saying 'The 3 train to Harlem-148 is approaching the station. Step away from the platform edge.'

Issac digs in his pocket for a yellow card that says 'Metro Card' on it and swipes. He goes on the other side and hands me the card. I swipe it and reach to the other side.

"Where are we going?" I ask, looking around at all the people running for the train. Issac leads me to a train car and we step in. People are sat in chairs while others are standing up, holding onto the poles.

"We are going places." He says with a smile.

"And what may these paces be?"

"Bay in our 6 month friendship/relationship have I ever told you where we were going when I took you places?"

"No, but this is a foreign place."

"It's New York. It's not that foreign, trust me. There are tall buildings and rotten people." He says bluntly. A lady next to Issac gives him a dirty look and he smiles sheepishly at him.

I mentally facepalm.

Issac pulls out his phone and starts typing away, obviously in deep concentration. I hold onto the railing watching and observing everything around me. Everything is different here. New Yorkers have quite an accent. It is true, they do draw out the 'aw' sound. I wonder if us Californians have an accent.

"Alright, hotel booked."

"How much was it?"

Issac looks up at me with that look. Not the other one where he is turned on, but the other one. The one that says 'I know what you are trying to do' look.

"I am not telling you."

"You shouldn't have to pay for everything. Valentines day is for you too." I tell him

I can't wait to give him his gift tonight.

"OK. How bout this. Next Valentines day, you plan it. I planned our trip to NYC. You can plan the next one."

"Fine."

I make a mental note to transfer 800 dollars to Issac's account when I get back home.

The train jerks to a stop and Issac looks outside at the sign.

'14 street-Union Square'

"Ready?"

"If you ask me again, I will say no, so let's just go." I tell him and take a deep breath and walk out the subway car, hand in hand with Issac.

Hi everyone!

I know I haven't updated in a bit. I have been soooo busy and so exhausted. It took me like 2 or 3 days to write this chapter. Juggling writing and your personal life is harder than you would think.

Anyway...

Thank you for all the votes, kind comments, and for the shares. Thank you for adding this book to your reading lists as well. There is only a few more chapters left of The Girl Who Never Smiles and I can't believe it is actually ending, but all good things must come to an end.

Again, thank you for all your support.

Until next time....
