You woke up the next morning to Fred and George jumping on George's bed that you were sleeping in. You had stayed in the second bedroom above Weasley's Wizard Wheezes while the two of them had bunked in Fred's room together since the two of them couldn't stop talking about opening day, even after your eyes had begun to drift shut the night before. You slept incredibly peacefully that night, feeling right at home in George's space in their apartment.

The next morning, you rubbed your sleepy eyes and smiled at them. Once you had gained enough alertness to process the situation, you murmured, "What time is it?"

Fred poked your cheek and sang, "6am. Time to rise and shine!"

George cheered, "We have to get ready to open! Only a few more hours until it's time."

You rolled over and propped your head on your hand to get a better look at the boys through your droopy eyes. You teased, "I've never seen the two of you so alert at this time of the morning before."

"Because it's a big day," George chuckled as he absentmindedly began to stroke the white scar on your forehead.

Your eyes fluttered softly at his soothing gesture. When Fred started to notice and smirk at his twin, you reached up and captured George's hand in yours, intertwining your fingers. The light was softly falling in through the cracks of George's curtains, and it created a soothing atmosphere in the room, which contrasted the cooccurring anxiety and excitement that were making the twins jittery and alert that morning. Deciding that it was best to appease the antsy twins, you sat up and questioned, "What's on the agenda for this morning, boys?"

Fred grinned, "I'm glad you asked, Potter. We need to finish putting out the love potions and the pygmy puffs. George and I will put out the pygmy puffs since there are many of them-"

"-and we'll have you put out the remaining love potions," George explained as he gently to fiddle with your locket that you had dislodged from underneath your shirt before you went to bed.

You nodded as you grinned at the two boys.

As he rose to his feet and swiveled, taking in George's dark largely dark bedroom, Fred continued, "Then, we'll all get dressed and ready for the day. Your last assignment is-"

"-to spend the remaining time with me," George smugly smiled as he jabbed his thumbs towards himself.

You chuckled but happily nodded in agreement. You chirped, "That all sounds great to me. I'll get started on the love potions. Where are they?"

"In the storage closet downstairs, of course," Fred retorted as he stuck his hands in his pockets.

After nodding at Fred, you whipped back the covers and slipped out of the bed. You stretched your arms above your head and yawned. Fred shook his head at these actions and scolded, "No. No yawning allowed. Only excitement and big energy. Show me your biggest smile, Potter."

You glanced to George to see if Fred was being serious, but Fred snapped his hand in your face and demanded, "I said for you to be excited, Potter, not to make eyes at George...unless you're trying to push the love potion, I guess."

You laughed and showed Fred an exaggerated smile with all of your teeth on display. Fred pointed at you and cheered, "Yes, Potter! Just like that!" He bounded out of the room and yelled from the hallway, "And let's get to work!"

George laughed as soon as Fred left the room. He chuckled, "I'm sorry. I think he's just really excited."

You waved him off as you pulled a sweater from your bag and tugged it on over your t-shirt. You wondered, "Aren't you excited too?"

George turned pink and shyly nodded.

You tugged on a pair of fuzzy socks and laughed, "George, you know that you can show that excitement too, right? You don't have to hide it from me."

"Oh, thank you." He beamed and got up from the bed in a flash. He wrapped his arms around your waist and spun you around while you giggled. He rambled, "I just can't believe this day is actually happening because I've been dreaming about it for as long as I can remember, but it's actually here. It's finally happening, and I feel like my heart is going to explode with you here as all of my dreams come true."

You tucked a strand of George's hair behind his ear that had fallen into his eyes and grinned, "I'm so happy that I get to be here by your side today. You deserve the world, Georgie."

"Merlin, I love you so much," He breathed as he began kissing you, pouring out his bottled up excitement onto you. He pushed you until your back hit the wall behind you, a gasp falling from your lips. George was frantic as he smiled into the kiss, unable to stop his heart from racing due to both the big day ahead and the high he got from kissing you.

George's hand moved to your side, and your hip burned where George's soft hand brushed against your skin since your shirt had ridden up slightly during the kiss.

This didn't last long as Fred pounded on their door and yelled, "Oy, you two! Hurry it up! We have a lot to do."

You and George jumped apart at the interruption, grateful that Fred didn't barge into the room. Nevertheless, George turned a bright shade of red, and his hand found the back of his neck as he sheepishly mumbled, "Sorry for getting a bit carried away there."

You shook your head and denied, "No, don't apologize. I always love snogging you, George." You turned bright red after saying that, widening your eyes and trying to focus on finding your shoes to cover up your embarrassment.

George put his hand on your arm to stop you and teased, "What was that, love?'

You bit your cheek and groaned, "Oh, stop it, George. Fred said we need to hurry. Can you help me find my shoes to wear downstairs?"

With a loud laugh, George just pointed to your trainers lying in a corner of the room. You grinned and yanked them onto your feet. You tucked a strand of hair behind your ear when it fell into your face. You stood back up and beamed at George before racing down to the shop to find the potions in the storage closet.

It took you longer than expected to finish the display, but you grinned widely when the twins hurried past you with thumbs up at how you had set up the love potions. You stepped back to examine your work with a wide grin as you reflected on how they had made this love potion concoction into a perfume to make sure your reciprocated George's feelings. It was still a shock to you now that George truly did reciprocate those feelings, but you couldn't imagine life without him anymore.

You helped by answering a few questions from customers throughout the day, but you continued to keep an eye out for your friends and family as a first priority while moving about the hectic shop. It truly was a chaotic scene in the shop, but seeing the twins' brilliant smiles whenever you passed by them made all of it worth it. You couldn't be more proud of all that they had created.

The chaos was never ceasing that day. At one point, you had to duck your head at the last second when a customer accidentally activated one of the Wildfire Whiz-Bangs, sending it flying over your head and exploding into a beautiful display of red and yellow light above them.

You had shaken this off, stepped up to them, and beamed, "Isn't that amazing? Those are what Fred and George used during their epic prank on Umbridge last year. Were you all there for that?"

The bright-eyed 3rd years nodded their heads vehemently before they each grabbed a handful with mischievous glances and enormous grins. Fred and George were inspiring a new generation of troublemakers, yet you felt giddy at how much the shop was already an enormous success.

You turned just then to see Hermione and Ginny approaching the love potion display you had set up. You had been hovering near it throughout the day, and you were thrilled to tell the twins about how success it had been when you saw them later.

Thrilled to see your friends again, you raced over to Ginny and Hermione and pulled them in for hugs. They both smiled at you as Hermione gushed, "Aw, your dress is beautiful, Y/N!"

You gave a little twirl in your pale pink, off-the-shoulder dress and bragged, "Thelma and I picked it out when we went shopping a few weeks ago. It's a perfect summer dress since it's light and comfortable."

Ginny smiled at you absently while her gaze kept dropping to the love potions next to you. You jolted and rambled, "Oh! I set these out this morning! Fred and George said they should work wonders to get the person you fancy to reciprocate, but I doubt that either of you need them. You're both wonderful and beautiful. Anyone you fancy would be a fool not to see that."

Hermione made fleeting eye contact with you as she carefully examined the potion too. You understood what that look meant. Ron still hadn't seemed to notice how much Hermione was interested in him, but you made a promise to yourself then to help Hermione with this the next school year. Ron just needed a little shove sometimes.

"Hello, ladies," Two matching voices sang as they appeared behind you.

You swiveled around and grinned, "It's going great, boys! Everyone loves your products."

Fred and George both had smug smiles as they nodded at the love potions in Hermione and Ginny's hands. George winked at you as he promised the girls, "Yeah, they really do work."

"I think you'll do just fine on your own," Fred smirked at them as he eyed the bottles in their hands.

The girls both turned the bottles over in their hands and ignored the boys. You silently hoped neither of them bought the potions. They didn't need magic to convince boys to like them, and if they did, the boys weren't worth it anyways.

George turned back to you then and informed you, "Your brother-"

"-and your bodyguards-"

"-are here." George glanced back in the direction of the entrance, and you ran towards it. You dodged the clumsy students who weren't watching their surroundings as they examined all of the products with amazement and longing to get to the front of the shop.

You made it to the walkway that overlooked the entrance and leaned against the railing. You waved your arms and shouted, "Harry! Thelma! Sirius!" All three of them looked up at you and grinned. You hurried down the nearest set of stairs to get to your family, crushing each of them in a hug once you reached them. You grinned at Harry, "I think I saw Ron by the pygmy puffs earlier, but that was a long time ago now."

Harry nodded with a small smile before pushing into the crowd to find Ron and the others.

You turned back to Thelma and Sirius and clapped your hands as you cheered, "Would you like me to take you on an incredibly chaotic and incomplete tour of the shop?"

Sirius nodded enthusiastically as he already had begun to examine all of the inventions the twins had conjured over the years when they had been neglecting their studies at Hogwarts. He had felt like a rambunctious teen again. He had to stop himself once or twice from thinking about how much he and James would have loved to go to a place like that. It was probably fortunate for everyone else that such a shop never existed when they were students.

Dragging Sirius from his thoughts, you tugged your godparents along, showing them all of your favorite inventions and candies. You pointed out George's favorites, and Fred's too, as you moved about the crowded shop. Sirius just smiled at all of the inventions, seeming mildly impressed by their work, while Thelma was slightly frazzled by the chaos. When a round of Whiz-Bangs exploded overhead, Thelma jolted and mumbled under her breath, "Well, that seems dangerous." She caught onto the excitement soon too, after watching you bounce around the shop telling funny stories of the preparations that had gone into the setup of the shop, even if Sirius and Thelma had already heard many of them.

When Sirius found a jar of candies called "U-No-Poo" that caused constipation in its victims, he begged Thelma, "Can I buy it? Imagine how funny it would be if I offered these to Snivellus."

Thelma covered her face with her hand while you smacked his arm and whispered, "Be nice, Sirius!"

He gaped at you and Thelma before putting it back on the shelf with a pouty expression.

You and Thelma shook your heads at him. Some things never change.
