It was the day of the First Task of the Triwizard Tournament, and you thought you were going to throw up. You sat with the Gryffindors since you had been talking to Hermione when it was time to take your seats. You were squished in between Hermione and George.

Once you all had settled into the small space, George had winked at you and teased, "Quite the fit, huh, Potter?"

Your cheeks twinged pink with the comment, but you just tried to ignore his comment, knowing that he was likely just teasing you after the cologne incident. You just tried to act overly interested in Cedric's appearance in the arena below.

When Cedric made it through the task alive, you cheered loudly, feeling relief over the safety of your friend. This feeling was fleeting as you realized that your brother still hadn't gone yet. By the time Viktor Krum and Fleur Delacour had both completed their task, your stomach was tied into knots.

Harry still hadn't appeared yet, and you looked to George beside you with round eyes, hoping for some comfort. He looked down at your expression and grinned, "Hey, it's going to be fine. I mean, he's the boy who lived, after all. Isn't he basically unkillable or something?"

This didn't comfort you. Instead, your panic multiplied as you screeched, "You think he could die?!"

George scrambled to correct himself. He put his hands on your shoulders and firmly told you, "No, no. Absolutely not. He's not going to die. I was just making a joke. He's going to be fine.  I promise."

You let out a deep breath and nodded, trying to believe George. Your chest hurt, and your entire body felt wound up when Harry finally came out. It was oddly quiet for a moment until he was nearly hit by the dragon's large tail. You flinched and subconsciously gripped George's hand when this happened. You put your other hand to your mouth as you watched the scene with round eyes and raised eyebrows.

Harry kept nearly escaping death, and you felt like you couldn't breathe as you watched it all. When his broom flew into the stadium, you and looked to George and Hermione with a broad grin and hopeful eyes.

You watched on as Harry zipped around on his broom, gasping when the dragon got free of its chains. Harry flew out of the stadium in a hurry, and you swore you held your breath the entire time he was gone.

When he flew back in minutes later and retrieved the egg, you screamed along with everyone, jumping up and down excitedly. That's when you realized that you had still been holding George's hand. You looked down at your hand gripping his and widened your eyes at this. You quickly released his hand and folded your hands in front of you. His smirk didn't escape your notice as you tried not to think about how you had been holding his hand for so long.

You turned and hugged Hermione half to death before grinning down at Harry in the stadium. He looked at all of you then, and you waved when you caught his eye. He beamed back at you, and you couldn't have felt more relieved.

Harry could do this.

As Professor McGonagall explained the Yule Ball to the group of you, you tried to discreetly glance at George, but Fred caught you and wiggled his eyebrows at you. You widened your eyes and stared at your feet after that.

When Ron slow danced with Professor McGonagall, you put your hand to your mouth and tried not to giggle. This earned you a glare from Ron, but you noticed Fred and George swaying along to the music with amused smiles, so you easily brushed Ron's bad attitude off.

When she encouraged everyone else to begin dancing, your eyes widened as Neville approached you to ask you to dance. You beamed at him and nodded, immediately taking his hand. You both moved next to Ron and McGonagall and began swaying to the music. Fred and George stared at you curiously, so you winked at them.

Neville was so adorable while dancing with you, apologizing for any clumsiness, but you promised that he was doing great. At one point, you passed him off to Hannah, who looked about ready to die. She couldn't hold back her huge grin as she danced with him.

You turned around without a partner when George stepped up to you. He held out his hand and wondered, "May I dance with you, Potter?"

You rolled your eyes before happily placing your hand in his. He pulled you closer and placed his other hand on your hip, which made your cheeks heat up. He looked down at your pink cheeks and chuckled. You carefully placed your other hand on his shoulder and looked up at him as the two of you swayed to the music.

Before long, the two of you were giggling, which earned you some strange looks from your classmates. You weren't really sure why you were giggling, but you guessed it was because of how awkward you felt in this situation. You couldn't believe you were dancing with George in front of your classmates.

You hoped this wouldn't be the last time.

When you had to pull away, you felt cold where he had just been, but you tried to keep a normal, pleasant smile as you took your seat between Susan and Hermione. Both girls smirked at you as you sat down, and Susan giggled in your ear, "I think we all know who won't have trouble getting a date this year."

You hit her leg and murmured, "Hush! Someone might hear you."

Hermione leaned over and chuckled, "She's right, you know. Did you see the way all the boys looked at you when she mentioned taking a date?"

Pulling her hair back into a ponytail, Susan added, "The boys were pleasantly swooning over you."

Putting your hands on your cheeks, you hissed, "Oh, stop it!"

They both giggled and looked at one another, high-fiving behind your back. Sitting slumped in your seat with hands still pressed against either cheek, your eyes drifted to Fred and George again. George was giddily smiling while listening to McGonagall, but Fred was staring at you, as if he knew exactly what you girls were talking about. You stuck your tongue out at him, and he did it back before you both turned away.

You listened to the end of McGonagall's lecture about the upcoming ball, and that's when you noticed Draco staring at you from across the room as well.
