I kissed Jake.

I was kissing Jake.

Oh shit!

Hell no!

You need to think Elsa. Think. Think. Think. Shit shit. Why did I even do it?

I slowly pulled back and from the corner of my eyes, I saw Leo looking away from us. I had hurt him so much. And it had hurt me to hurt him. I'd talk to him. I'd convince him for sure.

Jake still had his eyes closed , face still close, breath fanning on my lips. He smiled, a true, warm —Jake smile. He slowly opened his eyes. A completely different slight transpired before me. His eyes were filled with grief, guiltiness instead of pleasure like I had expected. And the only thing he whispered clung around my heart and brought my mind the memory the stone gave me once.

'You only kissed me for your own good.' Jake whispered.

I found tears welled up in my eyes. 'I'm sorry Jake but I can't forgive you.'

With this, I slid my leg beneath Jake's feet and hit my forehead hard on his. He fell back. With the tip of my toe, I dragged the keys back to me that fell out of his pocket with him.

I didn't have time to free my hands from the cuffs so I jumped high above my hands but couldn't reach up the level so I turned around and tried the lock with the keys.

'A bit left.' Leo directed me. I did and when the key inserted, it didn't work. Jake on the other hand was slowly recovering. I tried another key this time and found the lock by myself. It didn't work either.

Jake sat up  and with the help of wall, was wrenching himself up. Panic started to take over me and so I tried one key thrice. My fingers traced for the perfect key and flipped through the one of almost fifteen. Jake started walking towards me. 'Elsa stop.' Jake groaned and held his head as he moved about.

'So do you.'

'You won't win. Hades has his weapon ready.'

'That's why I need to go.'

'No! Listen come wit—

'—forgot sake Jake! I can't come with you. Not in this cell.' The key fit as I rotated. The lock clicked open. Seeing my victory, Jake ran for me furiously. I knew kicked him where the sun never shines. 'That's for being a shitty husband,' I ran towards him and kicked him in the stomach. 'That's for kissing me.' I wanted to kick him more. In fact I wanted to kick the life out of him considering the amount of fury boiling in my veins but an intelligent side of my brain kicked in and so I ran out of the cell and shut the door behind me that locked automatically.

I tried to jump above my hand level to at least bring my hands in front of me but I was too weak for that jump so I tried to open Leo's lock with my hands still behind me. 'You won't make it.' Jake warned.

'Never did I ever give a shit about you before and will I ever.' I hissed. I tried the keys and finally one worked. I didn't open the door but rather ran towards the other cells. It was of Stephen who walked up to me. 'You okay?' He asked.

'You rather not ask.' I told him and clicked open his lock too. I ran towards Greg and Chloe's cell and surprisingly, it got unlocked at the first attempt. Leo walked up to me. His hands were in front of him, though still cuffed. And I thought, How the heck did he manage to jump?

Just as I reached Justin's cell, and alarm wailed in the whole building. 'Oh shit.' I said. Leo , Stephen , Greg and Chloe ran for the door of the hallway to try for the password while I struggled with Justin's lock. 'Why don't you just jump over your hands?'

'I can't.' I said and Justin's lock too, after a number of trials , unlocked. 'Go and help Leo and Stephen.' I told him.

I reached Austin's lock. 'You know what, I had always been suspicious about that guy.'

'What Guy?' My hands started to shake. Austin's lock was taking too much time.

'The one in your cell.'

'You mean Jake.' I flipped another key.

'Yeah that one.'

'You could say his name too,' I flipped another key after a failed trial. 'What about him?'

'I don't like him.' Austin said.

'We all don't Austin.' I rolled my eyes.

'But I do more.' Austin told me.

'Oh really?'

'Yeah, you know why?' I huffed. The alarm, the failure of keys, my hands behind my back and Austin's distracting conversation was killing me now.

'And why Austin do you hate him more?'

'Because he once ate my burger. It hurt me Elsa. I mean like people should know their limits but they don't. They simply walk up and eat the very burger you made for yourself—' The locked opened and I mentally fist bumped in the air I don't know either for letting Austin escape or for shutting him up.

I ran towards the hallway door and to check how far had they reached. We needed to escape before the guards would come here. Justin was trying with his technical  tactics to punch in the right code without alarming the control room but somehow, he was failing.

A flash of memory hit me hard. Password. I thought. I know the password. I know it. I held my head and tried to massage the temples in order to get it. The blow I gave Jake was still sending random headaches and it was hard to process it. But I was damn sure I knew the password and then, I kicked back.

I pushed back Justin and looked at the keypad. The first ten keys of ten keypad was of counting and there were four keys of letters below the number keys. I punched in the password.

'7v11?' Leo repeated the password.

I shook my head. 'It's EvIL.' The door slid open and the view before us was something I was quite surprised to see.

The hallway diverted into aisles that diverted into number of aisles. Three aisles went to our left, two on our right and one ran in front of us. I casted a knowing look at the dark hunters who in return nodded.

We didn't have any time.

'Go!' I ordered and off they set instead of Leo who stayed beside me. I was about to run but something made me to look behind my shoulder.

Austin.

He was still cursing Jake and was trying to punch jake with cuffed hands and barred entrance . I ran back to him. 'Austin!' I yelled and he turned his head towards me. Seeing me running wildly towards him and yelling his name, he paled.

But still couldn't run. 'Austin run would you or I'll choke you with that fucking pink flowery underwear of yours!' Leo yelled behind me and I was quite thankful for him cause Austin was drawn back to his senses and he , finally began running towards our direction.

We raced past the aisles where guards began to fill in. A sectator, with a spear at me. 'Shoot man, who uses a spear?' I ducked down as he waved the spear just above my head probably cutting away my feral hair from my loose ponytail.

I kicked his leg and before he could stab the spear right in my chest, Leo smacked him against the wall. 'I need to get rid of these.' I addressed at my cuffs and ducked behind the smacked sectator to be away from another sectator.

'Then do this!' Leo pushed me towards a sectator who horrifically held up a spear in front of me. All the colours drained away from my face and I was about to yell at Leo for pushing me towards a sectator who was practically waiting for Leo's move. But I ducked just in time when the sectator hit the spear on my cuffs and they broke apart.

I knocked my elbow in his chest, spun around and blew him into the wall. The neck produced that satisfied sound, and off we set to run away.

'I thought you were about to kill me.' I said when I fell in step with Leo.

His cuffs were ripped open (though  I so badly wanted to know how). He tilted his head slightly towards me. 'Why would you think that?'

'Er. . . I don't know, probably maybe . . . I guess . . . ' I trailed off. It was quite hard to say specially when you're running at a terribly high pace. 'The kiss?'

'We'll talk about it later.'

'Good or bad?'

'Like Austin's burritos.' Leo answered.

'Worse.' I answered my own question.

We skidded to a halt when a number of guards surrounded us around. A many few came from behind and locked us in between. I gulped down. Here we three  —hungry with no weapon at all , frustrated at the thought of fighting and thirsty as hell at the same time — standing in between trialing our eyes around in search of a path against at least forty of guards.

'What now?' Austin whispered. 'I might wet my pants I guess.'

'Do it and I'll smack your face first before I lay a finger on any of them.' Leo replied.

'Jeez, man I was kidding.'

'I was not.'

'Guys, focus.' I told them.

'Where? They're so many of them. I lost my focus.'

'Should we attack them at a sudden?' I suggested.

'We might jump on them.'

'We should divert their attention.'

'I don't have any thing.'

'So do I.' I said and took a few steps back as the sectators surrounding us took steps forward. My heart thumped against my chest. For some reason, I wanted to simply have this moment end and for a moment, it did.

When a ear piercing sound of a gun shot wailed the bells of my ear. I thought that maybe another grief of loss would be on my shoulder. I longed for the pain but when it didn't felt, I thought that maybe someone else—Leo or Austin, was shot. I turned around to see, but I didn't need to. Cause when Austin yelled, I was far more satisfied.

'LIAM, you beauty!'

oOo

Olà! How did you like the chapter? Did you really think Elsa would be with Jake? Did you alinaqamar90 ?
And what about Liam?

And THE GIRL IN BLACK hit 5000 views! 😁

Thank you so much for your love and support guys.

You might saw the hints the Stone was giving Elsa. Like the line 'you only kissed for your own good' was from the memory Elsa had with Noah and her other best friend.

While the other one '7v11' was from the memory she had when she was little was trying to find the password. That's, how Stone showed her the future!
