My eyes met the intruding rays of sun waking up from a dream-less and prophecy-less night.

The blaring sun shone at its own specified time waking the sleeping earth. Once again it came as a saviour to vanish the dark, giving a new chance —a new day. But did it really? The dark—did it really disappeared? Did it all vanish for what good hours or is it just an illusion? For me, it's the latter.

Or maybe my mind manipulates it as such. For me , the dark had became my brightness and light. Probably because I refused to meet the light cause I was scared and how can't you be when you're about to blow candles on your birthday but instead lit them on someone's death day. That was a good enough lesson for me not to rise my expectations.

Today. I thought. It's gonna be different. With this I sighed and tried to pick up Leo's hand from my stomach ever so gently. And placed it slowly on the bed. He was sleeping on his stomach—his usual position—with his one arm beneath the pillow and one usually on me. I smiled at his peaceful face and his hair spread on his pillow. The texture was so mesmerising, I balled my hand to resist the urge to touch them.

I propped myself off the bed and stretched. Casting one last look to Leo, I walked out of his room. I brushed my teeth and tied my hair in a ponytail. Chloe and Stella were in deep sleep and so was everyone else. They were supposed to, it was half past five in the morning.

I tip toed downstairs while thinking of going on a run —probably going to look for after results of yesterday's incident—after stuffing some yogurt and an apple. I walked up to the fridge and poured myself a glass of water. I put the glass on the counter and sat on the bar stool while taking a bite from the apple.

I dropped the apple as cold fingers made contact with my stomach for the shirt lifted off when I sat. 'Good morning.' Leo chirped And didn't remove his hands.

Okay Elsa. I thought. Keep it under control. Don't let his finger sent sparks of electricity. But my body had grown stubborn to my inner voice.

'G-good morning.' I said weirdly and by weirdly , I mean I-gave-him-a-almost-toothy-smile-and-rolled-my-eyes-for-no-reason-and-then-pursed-my-lips.

'You good?' He asked ,furrowing.

'No.' I stated instantly. He still had his hands on my waist.

'Why not?'

'Your hands.'

'My hands?' He repeated confusedly. But rather rubbed circles to tickle me. 'What's wrong with them?'

'They're cold.' I said. He brought his hands up to his face to check the temperature and I instantly picked up the glass and poured the water over his head. 'Much better.'

He narrowed his eyes in slits as if saying  "challenge accepted". I widened my eyes and he came for me. 'Shit!' I exclaimed and sat up from the bar stool and before he could catch me  I rolled to the other side of the counter.

'You know you can't get away.' He said and ran his hand through his hair. I took notice of the texture they form when his fingers contacted with them.

'I can actually.' I said.

He shrugged. 'Fine then. Let's see.' And he rolled on the counter too but I ran behind it. He ran to catch me. I threw a cushion and two in his direction I picked up on my way to backyard. He dodged them easily.

I opened the door hastily and a panicky laugh escaped my lips as I saw Leo just a mere inches apart from catching me. I ran into the backyard and used a chair of a table as a shield as I laughed.

He came for me from the other side of the chair but I walked onto the opposite. He didn't try it again but rather bore his forest green eyes into mine. Amusement and naughtiness mingled into each other giving off a radiance of merriness. They looked so beautiful into the fresh rays of sunlight I could stare at them whole day and probably won't get tired.

His eyes sparked and a smirk grew on his lips. He started stepping back. Taking one step after another. I furrowed and mentally recalled the tactics that he could use but they faded as his steps backwards increased with a mischievous smile on his face.

I looked over his shoulder but found nothing and when my eyes trailed down, there I found a hose coiled up in the corner right beneath a tap connected to it.

I started to run away but a shriek escaped my lips as the water shoot out of the hose and on my back. I tried to run away but the hose under Leo's control followed my every step. In just a matter of seconds, I was drowned. 'Leo stop!' I yelled.

'No!' He exclaimed. I knew running around won't help me and even if I enter in the house, sure enough he'd follow me not caring about drowning everything else.

So I did the opposite.

I ran towards him. Shock appeared on his face as he saw me running at him and he was more shocked when I jumped on him and he fell on the floor with me over him. 'Oh fu—

I didn't let him finish his sentence as I snatched the hose from him and drowned him in water too. 'You don't destroy a girl's perfect ponytail like that.' I cracked up as we both battled for the hose afterwards rolling on the ground like our life depends upon the hose. We rolled until I was up on him and showered the water on him. 'Hey, jew—' He covered his face with his arms.

Whatever he said before was all drowned under my laughter. I bent over and held my stomach.

He got up and flipped me on the ground hovering over me. He snatched the hose and stared at me. His stare stopped my laughter and  looked at him. He was all soaked. Water dipped down his hair and fell on face.

'Did anyone told you how beautiful you are?' He asked rather seriously.

'Yeah actually.' I replied. 'Couple of boys , ex's and boyfriends.'

He arched his eyebrow. 'Boys?' He raised the hose which was currently under his possession. 'Boyfriends?' He splashed the water on my face.

I didn't know why but I cracked up so hard. He said something I didn't caught. 'What?'

He lowered his head next to ear. I still didn't stop laughing. In between my funny and loud laughter, I caught some of his words. 'You are mine Elsa Stone.'

▪️▪️▪️

'I guess we should eat tacos instead.' Austin offered.

'No seriously guys. It's gonna work. Believe me.' Stella insisted as she passed us the little map she created. 'I know it's messy but it's the only way in there.'

I took the map ignoring Austin's death glare and stared at it. 'Stella what if it won't work?'

She took a set beside me. 'Listen , we can't simply go in Hades' headquarter without a full proof plan. He knows you'll come. He's waiting for you cause he can't take the stone that simply you know.'

'How can we trust you?' Stephen spoke. 'You nearly killed us for the stone. Why would we trust you?'

Stella bowed her head in guiltiness. 'I know guys I nearly killed you and I shouldn't've done that. I—I just wanted that stone. I wanted to try it on to see it's power—'

'—despite the face that Elsa saved you. . .um let me say . . .yeah twice!' Austin piped in. 'And you still considered to wear that stone —you knew you were not predicted for —just so you can see what it feels?'

Austin's instant angry behaviour caught us all off guard and for a fraction of second, we all gaped at him. He didn't mind our stares as he simply folded his arms over his chest. His eyes unfocused and he clenched his jaw.

'Austin I'm really sorry—

'—Stella.' Justin warned her as she moved forth for a apologise. Austin clenched his jaw more tightly. Justin looked over his brother and both shared a unasked series of questions but soon broke it.

'Guys we don't have enough time.' Stephen reminded us. 'We can't afford fighting anymore. Whatever your fucking problem is, just solve it already ok? Let us work.'

Stephen looked at me as if asking for approval. I glared at him in disbelieve. Is he really asking me that?

'Elsa? What'd you say?' Stephen asked.

'Yeah we're really tired of this bullshit.' Chloe said disgustingly.

'And we need a leader now.' Greg interjected.

'What? Me?' I pointed at myself.

'Yes.' Leo said calmly. 'Do everyone agrees?'

Everybody except Chloe nodded. 'Great then let's—

'-Wait! You can't make me a damn leader!' They all deadpanned. 'Ok i mean what if I don't want this?' I knew our circumstances of arguing didn't seem appropriate. The truth we were running out of time bit by bit. We all knew Hades was waiting as the mad-pilots of the helicopters we basically determined to set the whole city on fire except of our area and we'd sneak out to help people leaving one or two of agent behind.

My prophecies seemed to come to an end. I still hadn't considered telling the guys —the truth or the lie—none. It burned me more and more that I was hiding it all from them but I had no other option. On every breakfast, Austin would indirectly ask me about the prophecies but would only receive a small smile or a brief nod from me.

Stella had been trying day and night to blend in but in Austin's presence, it seemed impossible. She had already asked for my forgiveness a couple of times but I had not gave her any direct reply. I felt that maybe trusting it too soon would be only dangerous for us besides I gave her my trust and endangered my friend's lives and no way on earth I would be able to afford such repetition of a circumstance due to my misjudgment.

It was true. We need a path. A direction or at least someone to lead us there. The house had been a chaos. Justin and Austin have their crises over Stella are going on. Justin had been trying hard to ignore her because of his brother.

Each night, we have to go out to people ruined, help them. This was our first meeting about a week later since I came back from hospital. None of us could find enough time to meet. Some would have to skip meals for the sake of others and it was only increasing.

Dark circles had adorned each one of our faces. Chloe's were the weirdest as she'd spent so many concealers to hide it that it gave off a nauseatingly world vibe. We all would have mood swings and despite S.A.B's training on patience and valour at such circumstances, we all were somehow failing to keep our frustrations to ourselves as their would be new fight everyday mostly by Austin losing his temper and throwing it all over Stella who didn't let it take over her.

'Do you think we have enough options here? Or time? Or power? Or weapons? Or lives? Or other shit?' Stephen pointed randomly in air at each question. 'NO !  WE DON'T. FOR ANY.' he pointed at Austin , Justin and Stella. 'OF THIS  SHIT! THAT Hades  FREAK CAN SIMPLY KILL US WHENEVER HE WANTS TO AND YOU GUYS CONSIDER FIGHTING OVER GIRLFRIENDS?! he took a deep breath. 'I have to go for a check up on families so we should hurry.'

I blinked. One thousand four hundred and two times. So much drama in just ten minutes. Leo nudged me elbow and pointed me with his eyes towards all of the boys. I diverted my eyes towards the guys only to find them looking at me expectedly.

I cleared my throat . 'We need to dismiss this meeting.' I said rather calmly. 'Stephen I think you should stay at home. Austin and Justin, sort out your issues by tonight and I won't endure any of this fights tomorrow. Stella, please hand over your map to me, I'll look through it. Greg please get some sleep. You're looking quite—

'Ugly ? Donald trump ? A hepatitis patient? A simple patient or a dead?' Austin gave me options instantly.

'Depressed.' I finished. 'Leo, Chloe and Stella, you all need sleeps so please go to bed as soon as possible. Tonight, no one's going for surveying.' I said. 'Dismissed.'

Everyone stood up ,heaved sighs and eventually left except for Leo who didn't move even an inch and was staring at me intendedly. 'What?'

'Nothing. Just checking you won't go for survey for yourself.' He said seriously.

'I won't.' I told him but thought against.
