'Holy shit! They did not go!' Leo exclaimed and picked himself up.

I heard the footsteps drawing closer to us. Exhaustion took over my body due to sleepless night and constant running.I wished to sit back and relax but apparently, I was left with no option.

We both began running until I glanced over only to register the men drawing closer.

I used most of my legs until we were deep in the forest where the trees hid the sky from us. 'Leo, I—' My legs screamed for mercy but before I could halt Leo, a thunderous sound boomed in my ear.

Another ear-piercing sound came just from within the forests and birds, scared from the sound, left the trees. This time, the sound made me yelp in pain as I fell on the ground.

The bullet shred my shoulder and pain seethed down my body. Blood tickled my arm as I held it. I groaned further when a heavy hand heftily grabbed my arm and pushed me up to my feet.

'Elsa.' Leo came rushing towards me but it was too late.

I was already caught by the men. I took a breathe to stop the shiver as I glimpsed over my shoulder only to see three brawny men –weapons in their hands – dressed in the armour vile.

One of the men placed knife on my throat. 'Stay away or we'll kill her.' The man ordered.

Leo quickly backed himself. 'Leave her.' He warned.

'Do you think we will?' The man seemed solemnly amused by Leo's threat but I knew better.

'Let her go or I swear I'll rip you apart.'

The pressure of knife increased. 'Look boy, we just need the girl . We don't need to pick up the fight with you so it would be better if you just stay away from this and if not then welcome yourself to get  killed.' The man began backing away. I didn't try to run off for I knew, he won't kill me but he still had the knife on my throat and any mistake could rip my neck.

'Never.' Leo's jaw tightened as he gave me a brief glance. I nodded at him and he nodded back. Somehow, he understood what I wanted.

'Get him.' The man holding me, ordered the other two as he dragged me out of the forest.

He firmly held my bruised arm and I but my lip to stop myself from screaming. For some time, I just let him drag me out of the deep forest.

I observed my surrounding to use a weapon but my knife placed in my boot tickled and the only thing I needed was to get to it.

I mustered up my courage and kicked him in his leg from behind.Without wasting a single second, I reached for my boots and took out the knife. He turned around and punched me in the face and I fell back on the ground. My shoulder hit the ground first as I groaned.

'I should've shot you twice.' He snapped and forth himself to me. When he picked me up from my neck, I instantly took the knife and hid it behind my back. and  as he pulled me high. 'I swear to God, if boss wouldn't've ordered to bring you alive, you would be breathing your last by now.' Blood rushed up to my face. I kicked in the air to grasp some air.

He threw me back to the ground and I coughed. The pain in my shoulder exceeded. 'Get up now!' He ordered again and he again held my arm and began dragging me.

I went with him.

My mind wander back to unarmed Leo who had to fight two men. The sun was coming out and the sky began to lighten up.

I was tired of being dragged and Leo might need my help so holding my knife tightly, I aimed at his neck as it was the only thing not covered in metal.

My heart was racing , but I had to do it. If not now,then never. I told myself as I forwarded the knife into his neck. The blood splashed on my face and I stepped back.  He turned around with pain and rage in his eyes but before he could do anything, he fell and eventually died.

I let out a heavy sign and stared at the body. I wanted to grieve over the murder my hands just did but time was what I was shortened of.

I wanted to have some rest for I weakness took over my body. I almost tripped over myself. Placing my hand over my shoulder, I ran to Leo.

I paced the forest to the point where I was caught and when I reached there, horror covered my face. I was unable to believe my eyes so I stood there still, trying to figure out what had happened.

There were weapons scattered all over the place. But what was more terrifying was that there were three bodies laying flatly on the ground and one of them had grey hair which was mostly covered in blood. It was Leo among them. His body was laying beneath the tree and beside his body was running a river ,I didn't notice before. If he would've moved an inch, he would've had fallen into the river.

'What the hell?' I said out loud and with my tired, trembling legs, moved towards the body of Leo. He was laying on his stomach and his face was to one side. Apparently I didn't see any of scars and it alleviated me a bit but not much. I sat down next to his body and shook his arm.

'Leo, hey, Leo! Get up!' I whispered to him but he didn't move.

'Leo! Come on now, Get up!' I said again but he showed no signs and it scared me more. I moved his body enough that he was now at his back with his eyes closed and a noticed a bruise running down his jaw but it wasn't bad enough to kill him.

At the thought of his being dead, I gulped down and shook my head to get the thoughts away.

I jiggled him again. He opened his eyes and blinked to adjust and pumped relief down to my body.

'What happened here and what happened to you and why the hell aren't you getting up? Are you okay?'  I laid down questions forming in my mind, but Leo blinked a little ,looked at me and said,

'Food.'
