It's been almost three weeks since the day when I was skydiving and bungee jumping- the things that I never thought that I would do. And it's Thanksgiving today. Ethan had been discharged from the hospital last week and has been living with me, at the apartment ever since. My mom is going to be leaving for Australia today after the Thanksgiving dinner. Ethan and my father are moving to London and they are leaving today too. I have no idea how I am going to stay without Ethan. I already miss him, even though he is currently sleeping in the room beside me.

I finally get out of bed to get ready for the day and get changed into a comfortable white top and maroon jeans.

I walk into Ethan's room. "Wake up sleepy head!" He hums in response. "Ethan! It's Thanksgiving! Wake up!" I shouted in his ears. "You know he won't wake up like that." I heard Ash say from behind me. "I know. I am just trying to be polite to him. But I'll be soon bringing an ice bucket." I said, the last part purposefully loudly. "No ice bucket! I am waking up!" Ethan sleepily said. I just chuckled as I made my way out if his room.

"So, what's for breakfast?" I asked. "Pancakes!" Ash answered as we sat at the table and started eating. "No offense, but after eating Stefan's food, everything kinda seems dull," I commented. "Yeah. Whatever. You are obviously going to like Loverboy's food. But this all you are going to get today." Ash playfully glared at me.

"Yeah! I know that! I also know that I am going to beat you at Coco-ball today." I smirked. "Woah! We are having Coco-ball today?" Ash asked. Coco-ball is a series of different games where coconuts are included. We used to play the game every year on Thanksgiving until we moved here. "Yeah! I heard my mom talking to Selena's mom." I chuckled. "Well, there is no chance you are beating me at that." He smirked. "Beat you at what?" Ethan came into the room.

"Coco-ball!" Ash answered. "Wow! They are really planning on Coco-ball?" Ethan asked. "Yep!" I smiled. "Well, there is no chance any of you is going to beat me," Ethan smirked. "Oh please!" I scoffed. "You have never won a Coco-ball. Ever." Ash chuckled. "Well, there is a first time for everything!" Ethan said and we all burst out laughing. Oh! I missed this!

Finally, the evening came. Its 4 pm now, and we are all gathered up at the Klarks. Currently, I, Selena, and Ash are filling the turkey pinata with confetti and skittles. This was another Thanksgiving family tradition we used to have. "We need to add more skittles!" Selena whined. "This is enough. Otherwise, it would burst before anyone hits it." Ash explained. "But still! I want more skittles! Vanessa, tell me you agree with me!" Selena demanded. "Well, I am going with Ash on this one, Lena! It seems pretty full." I shrugged. "Yeah!" Ash said, giving me a high five. "I hate you both!" Selena playfully glared. "No, you dont!" I and Ash chorused.

Finally, we tied up the pinata and hung it up on a tree in the backyard when Ethan and Shirley came downstairs. "Thanks for the help!" Selena glared at the couple. "You are welcome," Shirley smirked. "Come on kids! We have to start with Coco-ball." Airiel, Selena's mom, called. "Get ready to lose people!" I smirked as I ran to the starting point, with everyone following me behind. "Game one. Coco-loop. No cheating. No stepping ahead of the lines. The one who scores the maximum wins this round. Clear?" Scott, Selena's dad announced. We all nodded. "3....2....1...go!" And we all started aiming for the loops hanging on the trees and throwing coconuts into them.

I had scored eleven coconuts when I heard the thirty-second whistle. The parents counted everyone's coconuts. "Selena wins!" My mom announced. "Hey! She plays basketball! That's not fair!" Shirley whined. "Everything is fair in Love and War!" Selena cheered. "I am definitely beating you in the next one," I smirked. "We'll see about that."

"Get ready for Coco-race!" My mom announced. In Coco-race, the parents set five coconuts on every track. The one who collects all of them, on by one, wins! And this was my game. Running across the soccer field had made my leg muscles wrong and my running speed very fast. "Ready..." We all took our positions. "Set. Go!" We all sprinted.

And as expected, I won. "Nessa wins!" Scott announced. "Told you!" I smirked. "You go, sis!" Ethan gave me a high five. "Yeah! Yeah! The next one is mine!" Ash smirked. "Let's see." Shirley challenged.

"Ready for Coco-fall?" Airiel asked. In Coco-fall, we had to hit the coconuts placed on the stands with the nerf guns. The one who makes the most coconuts fall wins! "Hell yeah!" Ash cheered this was always Ash's favorite game. He loves nerf guns. As expected, Ash went first. He made fifteen out of the twenty coconuts fall. Next was Shirley who made twelve coconuts fall. I went next, hitting thirteen coconuts. Selena hit ten coconuts. The Last one was Ethan, who surprisingly hit seventeen coconuts!

"This is cheating. I am definitely sure that he cheated. I dont know how, but he did!" Ash whined. "Wow, brother! You finally did win a game!" I smirked. "Yeah! Even I can't believe it!" Ethan has never won a single game in Coco-ball. So, this was a pretty big achievement!

"Ash. He did not cheat. It was just luck." Scott told him. "Hey. Not all of it was luck! I have skills okay?" Ethan complained. We all just raised our eyebrows at him. "Okay! The major part was luck!" Ethan gave up which made us all laugh.

Coco-ball went on for some more time. And after playing all the Coco-ball games, there was a tie between me and Selena. Ash was one point behind us. Ethan had only won one game. And Shirley was two points behind. "You girls ready for the tie-breaker puzzle race?" Scott asked. "Yep!" We both chorused as we took our seats, ready to beat each other. "3...2...1...go!" And we both opened the puzzle box and started solving the puzzles.

Finally, when there was only one piece for me to attach, Selena finished, making her the winner. "Told you, I would win!" She smirked. "Yeah. Yeah. Next year is mine." I playfully glared. I loved this year's Thanksgiving. It was just like old times. I, Selena, Shirley, Ash, and Ethan competing in Coco-ball while our parents cheered for us.

"Come on, Lena! The pinata is waiting!" Shirley called. The winner of Coco-ball gets to hit the pinata. I blindfolded Lena, as she took a baseball bat and started moving towards the pinata. After numerous Lefts and Rights, she finally hit it and we all cheered. Then we all moved to the dining table for a delicious Thanksgiving dinner.

After dinner, we talked for some time and we all headed back to the apartment as Ethan had a flight to catch, with my dad. I still couldn't believe that my parents are divorced. And I still feel that I am a major reason for it. "Hey! Stop thinking!" Ethan smiled. "I dont want you to leave," I whined. "I dont want to leave too. But it is what it is." Ethan confronted. "But why are you leaving? Please don't go!" I requested, tears brimming my eyes. "Hey! Don't cry, come here." He said, engulfing me in a bear hug.

"We'll face time every night, okay? And you have to tell me all the things you did with Prince Charming in Toronto." He smirked. "Don't call him that." I playfully hit him. "Well, if he can give my sister a nickname, I can give one to him." He chuckled. "Your dad is here," Ash announced. Ethan nodded. "Why can't you stay here? You are eighteen!" I whined. "You are going to be okay. And please be safe with all that Elites stuff. It really scares me." Ethan shuddered. "Travel safe. And please call me when you reach. Even if I am sleeping!" I sighed. "Bye sis." Ethan engulfed me in another hug. "Bye, brother." I sighed as the elevator door opened and he stepped inside. He smiled and waved at me. I waved back as the door closed.

"Nessa. Come on. You have to drop your mom to the airport." Ash reminded. My mom was also leaving for Australia today. I insisted on driving her to the airport because I was sure she would leave without a goodbye. She sucks at goodbyes. "Yeah! I know." I sighed, as I walked back to the apartment and collected my car keys. I went down the elevator and drove off the gang house where my mom was currently staying.

"Hey, mom!" I smiled. "Hello dear! Can you help me up with the bags?" She asked. I nodded and picked up her bags, placing it in the car. I got into the driver's seat, while my mom got into the passenger's seat. We drove off to the airport.

***********
"Mom, is there any chance you can cancel the flight ticket?" I sheepishly asked. "And why would I do that, dear?" She raised her eyebrows. "Just saying. You are going to Australia. Ethan is going to London. You both are leaving me here, alone." I whined. "You are not alone. You have Ash and Lena. And even the Stefan guy. He is a keeper." My mom smirked. "Mom!" I playfully glared at her. "Plus, I think the gangleader of the Elites can handle herself." She whispered. "Yeah, she can." I smiled.

"I love you, you know that right? And I am sorry for being so rude to you for the past month." I sighed. "Oh! You dont have to apologize. I had imagined worse scenarios. And I love you too dear." She smiled as she hugged me. "Travel safe." I smiled. "Yeah! You too! Have fun in Toronto! And don't forget to use protection." My mom whispered the last part and ran inside the airport. It took a second for me to make sense of what she said. And when I did, you could say that I looked like a walking tomato.

**********
I came back home and did some last-minute packing. I and Stefan were also leaving for Toronto tonight. I could have stayed at the airport when I dropped mom off, but I wanted to say a last goodbye to Ash and Lena. The doorbell rang and I heard Ash open the door. "Stefan's here!" Ash announced. I quickly grabbed my bags and went outside.

"Ready, Princess?" Stefan smirked. "Whatever. Let's get this over with." I rolled my eyes, trying hard to control my excitement. I mean, who gets to go on a tour with the person you like. Oh My God! You are fangirling. Shut up!

"So, have fun!" Ash smiled. "Yeah. I will. Dont miss me." "I won't," Ash smirked. "Hey! You are supposed to say you will!" I playfully hit him. "I can't lie," Ash smirked. "I hate you!" I glared at him. "No. You Dont!" "Yes. I do!" "No. You don't." "Yes. I do." "Yes. You do." "No, I don't." And suddenly Ash and Stefan burst out laughing. And I realized I just got tricked.

"Not fair!" I huffed as I stomped out of the door. "Don't you dare let anything happen to her. If you hurt her in any way, I will chop off your bones and feed it to the dogs." I heard Ash warn Stefan. A smile made it's way up to my face. I have the best friends in the world. "Don't worry. I won't." Stefan answered and turned around. Before they could see me eavesdropping, I quickly ran towards the elevator.

"Hey. Can we stop at Selena's?" I asked Stefan. "You know you are going for just three days right?" He chuckled. "Yeah! But I have never traveled without her. So..." I shrugged. "No problem Princess." He smirked. We reached the Klarks and I went and rang the doorbell. Selena opened the door. "Hey, girl! I knew you would come." She smirked. "Come on. I just came to say goodbye." I shrugged. "I am still angry with you for not taking me on the trip." She playfully glared as we engulfed each other in a goodbye hug. "Ask him," I said, pointing at Stefan's car. "That reminded me..." She said as she walked towards the car. I followed her.

"You. Listen. If I see even a scratch on her, that would be your death sentence. Understood?" Selena glared. Stefan just nodded, scared that if he opened his mouth, he might say something wrong, leading to his death, which made me chuckle. Selena can be very scary sometimes. "Well, enjoy!" Her glares turned into a smile. I sat inside the car and waved at as we drove off.

"Man! That girl is feisty! I have no idea how someone can handle her." Stefan sighed. "Thats why she is Ryan's girlfriend and not of a weakling's like yourself," I smirked. "Hey! I am not a weakling!" He said as he playfully hit me. "Hey! Dont hit me! Or else I'll call Selena." I chuckled. "Dont you dare do that Princess." He said as he raised his hands in surrender. The next few days are going to be fun. Toronto, here we come!
