THIRD PERSON POV.

Angelo Lesca hadn't spoken a work since they left the doctors office.

Him, his brother Gino, and his daughter, Mercury were sitting in the back of the sleek car that had brought them in the first place.

Angelo and Gino were facing Mercury on one side, while the other she had all to herself.

"So," Gino started slowly. "What are we going to do about the whole Marino situation?"

  This peaked Mercury's interest.

Angelo, however, stayed silent as he watched out the window.

"Should I end the treaty?" He thought.

This a lot for him to take on. He just found out he had a daughter with his high school sweetheart, also known as the love of his life.

Can you blame the Capo?

MERCURYS POV.

Angelo looked out the window silently.

I don't even think he had spoken a word since we left.

Not even after Gino spoke to him.

I sighed and leaned my head back on the leather interior of the car.

How the hell did my life get here?

"Did you guys hear that?" Asked Gino as he looked up from his phone, looking as if he were training in on a sound.

"What?" I asked.

"It sounded like a car swerving." He replied, now looking out of the window just as his brother was.

  I shrugged my shoulders.

"Maybe it was jus-,"

The sound of glass shattering didn't allow me to finish whatever I was saying.

"Get down!" Angelo yelled as the car started to swerve violently.

More sounds of glass shattering were heard as whatever was being shot pierced the windows.

I felt something, or really someone, pull me down and cover my head.

As soon as the firing stopped, I felt Angelo pull out a gun from the inside pocket of his coat, still covering me.

"Oh hell no." Said Gino as he grabbed his gun too.

  The car door swang open.

The man who had opened it, however, was met with two guns pointing at his head.

"Mr. Lesca?" The guy said as the color drained from his face.

"Who the hell sent you?" Was all he asked before cocking the gun.

"I-I don't understand! Mr.Marino sent us here to pick up his ex's kid!"

  Damn you Warren Marino.

"Tell him that my brother and I will take her to him."

   I shot the hell up.

"Wait! Woah!" I pleaded, in utter shock.

"Since you have killed our driver, and damaged our car, I suggested that you will give us a ride."   He continued, not even acknowledging me.

  "Y-yes Capo, of course!"

And with that, I was pulled out of the car by Angelo, roughly, I might add, from the previous car that now resembled a strainer, to one that was still in one piece. Gino matched steps with him too.

Of course I fought back, but I was no match for Angelo.

He slid in first, yanking me down next.

Now, I was sandwiched between both Angelo and Gino.

"Come on! Seriously Gino?" I asked him, more pissed off than I usually was.

He, weirdly enough, just smiled back.

The glare of something caught my attention.

  It was Angelos phone.

"Just trust me."

It read.

What the hell?

The car pulled up to a big ass, fancy looking mansion.

   Must be new.

Gino roughly pulled me out, followed by Angelo.

Gino gripped my arm while the other one led the way.

We were greeted with two guards.

"Mr. Marino requested for the girl to be restrained."

  What?

Actually, I don't think that's going to stop me.

The guards handcuffed my hands in front of me. Tight enough to bruise.

  I rolled my eyes.

As we walked through the door I called out to them, "Thanks assholes!"

Gino covered up a laugh with a cough.

We were led to a very big table.

Great. More guards.

One of the brutes came up to be and released on wrist from the cuffs, only to hook it up to the table.

"Is it just national try Mercury day?" I wondered out loud in disbelief.

The doors open, and in walked the devil himself.

   Warren "ass face" Marino.

On his arm was a very snobby looking girl.

   I clenched my jaw.

"Wow. Moms been gone for a month and you're already on someone new." I said to him quietly.

"Lesca? What are you still doing here?" He asked, paying no mind to what I said.

I took the quick moment I had, and used it to get out of the surprising weak handcuffs. Slowly, I pulled at one of the chain links that were connecting each side.

And boom, I was free as I unhooked it from the neighboring link.

I real wish I didn't know how to do this.

"Well, I needed to discuss the treaty with you, so I figured Gino and I would stick around." He responded ever so smoothly.

  Warren clenched his fists.

"I'm assuming this little brat told you a lot of things. Her mother was crazy. Don't believe a word that comes from her mouth." He lied.

"Oh, I don't doubt it. I think I'd kill my wife if she talked about another man too." Angelo chuckled with zero emotion.

   Oh my god.

"In my opinion, the psycho deserved it." That little weasel on his arm said.

All I saw was red as I threw my self over the table.

I was inches away from her before being pulled back.

  "Let me go!"

"Ugh! She's as crazy as her mother!" That thing yelled.

But, the person holding me back, apparently for got about my legs.

So, she got a broken nose out of it.

She fell back, I'm assuming in pain.

I let the person pull me back to my chair. I sat with a smile on my face as I was re-cuffed.

"Mercury! You're dead! Do you hear me?!" Warren said, getting too close to my face.

"Oh! Was shooting me not enough?" I argued back.

He pulled a gun and aimed in right where he shot me the first time.

"Ok, this is fun and all, but we still need to talk about the treaty." Angelo spoke up, seemingly unbothered.

"Can't that wait Lesca?" Warren said with a clenched jaw, and a gun still being aimed at me.

"I'm afraid not Marino." He said with a sigh in a bored tone.

  "Well then?"

"Just a couple of questions to get us going." He started before continuing.

"So, this is your step kid, correct?"

"Not for much longer."

"The hell is that supposed to mean?" I asked.

"Oh, little Mercury." He said now circling my chair.

"You might just tell someone about the family. And about your mom. What's the only solution to that?"

Death.

"You're seriously going to kill me?"

"Ah, yes! Exactly!"

"Ok, I'll cut the bull shit." Said Angelo as he stood up.

"Lesca! What the hell are you doing?!" Warren yelled as Angelo went over to where I was cuffed.

He somehow got me out of the cuffs before turning to Warren.

    "Treaty is off, Marino."
