ANGELOS POV.

"Angelo." Some whispered as the poked my shoulder.

"Angelo." They said again, in a song song voice.

"Ugh. Come on man, I'm sure you would rather have me wake you up rather than Gino. Which, by the way was your moms second choice."

Not happening.

"I'm up. I'm up." I groaned as I sat up.

"Oh also, I hate to tell you this, but someone you went to high school with is down stairs. Bye!"

What?

"Mercury, get back here!"

She froze in her steps. "Ugh." She groaned.

"What the hell do you mean someone I went to school with?"

"If I started crying right now, would you let me leave?"

"Mercury." I gave her a warning.

"Alright look, some douche bag named Jace was asking for you and Gino. The grands sent me to go wake you up while one of them wakes Gino up."

Shit.

"Yeah. I know the guy."

"Has he always made really nasty jokes? If that's the case, I don't know whose ass I would want to beat first. His, or one of you guy's because you actually hung out with him."

Sounds like he hasn't changed a bit.

"I'll be down in a minute."

"Ah, Angelo! It has been a while my very tall friend." The blond haired guy by the name of Jace, greeted me as I got to the kitchen island.

"Why are you here?" I jumped right to the point.

"Chill dude. My sisters said something about a cute couple of guys next door, and told me to be friends with them so that they could come over for dinner one night. As soon as your mother opened the door, I knew they were talking about you two."

"Ew." Mercury mumbled under her breath.

"They failed to mention a cute girl though." Jace replied with a wink.

"Angelo, h-how have you been on this fine morning?" She asked as she took a step closer to me, clearly disgusted.

"If something were to happen to you, I wouldn't get caught." I told him evenly, not hiding my annoyance.

"Who is she, by the way? The only thing I know about her is that her names Mercury."

"Maybe, oh I don't know, because you haven't stopped talking." Mom countered as she walked inside, rolling her eyes.

She never liked him.

"Come now Penelope, you laughed at some of the things that I said."

"If by laugh, you mean gag, then I most certainly did."

"Oh fine. Now, back on the previous topic, Angelo, who is this Mercury?"

"Why are you here and why are you asking about my niece?" Gino asked as he walked into the kitchen.

"Niece? Do you guys have an older sibling that I don't know about, because the both of you seemingly never liked kids, just making them."

"Gross Gross Gross." I heard Mercury behind me.

"She's mine."

He peered at her again. "Are you sure? She kind of looks like-,"

"Adaline?"

"Oh shit. You got her knocked up in high school?"

"No dumb ass, I got her pregnant two years ago, and now we have a fifteen year old child together. Yes, I got her pregnant in high school."

"Well pardon the hell out of me." He laughed.

"So, why are you still here?" I asked.

"Do you honestly think I'm leaving without getting you guys to come over for dinner? My sisters might be a hell of a lot younger than me, but they know how to ruin a life or two. Maybe even three."

"How old are they?" Gino asked from the fridge.

"They will both be nineteen next month."

Oh hell no.

"That's way too young. Tell them to get over it." I dismissed.

"Or, you could come to dinner tonight and tell them yourself."

"No."

He must have taken that as a challenge.

"I'm not leaving without a yes. I guess I'll just sit here, and talk about our high school experience with your mother and child, or niece, in the room."

  I glared at him. Shit.

"You two remember that time we were at that party, and smoked-,"

"Stop talking! We will go!" Gino interrupted him frantically.

  "See you at seven."

MERCURYS POV.

"Look, I'm just saying, it would be better if I didn't have to go to this." I attempted to get Angelo to let me stay home.

"Nope. You're my get out of hell free card." He fired back as he finished tying his tie in the mirror.

"What the hell am I supposed to do? Watch the two of you get hit on by some college students?"

"For an hour tops, just to get that prick off of our backs. Then you can pretend you're sick so at least I can get out of it."

  "What about everyone else?"

He just shrugged. "They can figure it out."

  Ugh.

"Come in, come in!" A woman answered the door. She had black hair, light blue eyes, and seemed to be around Penny's age. Even though Penny looks like her age minus twenty.

"Georgia, it's been quite a while." Penny greeted her, although, I'm getting the feeling that she wanted it kept that way.

"Sure has." She responded as she slightly touched Gio's arm. Oh shit. I get it now.

    "Girls!"
Soon enough, two blondes came downstairs.

Both were identical with blue eyes. Sure, they were pretty, but very young. Jace also came from around the corner. I would have thought they were triplets.

"Girls, this is Mr. and Mrs. Lesca, Angelo, Mercury, and Gino. These are my sisters, Bianca and Bethany." He introduced us.

"Why don't we chat over some drinks?" Bianca asked as she went to Angelo, her sister going to Gino, completely disregarding the rest of us. Aren't they only nineteen?

"That sounds like a wonderful idea!" Georgia responded as she began to lead us to what looked like a sitting room.

Bianca practically pulled Angelo to a very small love seat, and Bethany led Gino another.

I can't tell wether I feel bad or not.

Gio sat at the very end of our couch, followed be me, and then Penny, while Georgia sat on her own chair.

"So, Mercury, are you a cousin? I definitely see some relation there." She asked.

  "Oh, I'm actually-,"

"So Gino, you must have a lot of lady friends. You my friend, are very handsome." Did this bitch just cut me off?

"Thank you?" You could clearly tell he didn't know how to answer that statement. Thank god.

"What about you Angelo? Any lady in the picture for you?" Oh no.

"Um, no. I don't."

"Perfect. How old are you?" She jumped right to it.

"Thirty two."

"I've always been more into older men." She winked. Don't gag. Don't gag.

Soon after that, a woman came out with two trays, one with water, the other with what looked like mint juleps.

Both Angelo and Gino were fast to go for the alcoholic beverages. Damn, they must really hate this.

The actual dinner part was just as bad. The twins were flirting their asses off, Georgia kept flirting with Gio, and I had to somehow hold Penny back and endure all of it myself.

He so owes me.

But, it came time for me to do my job when I saw Bianca pull a very uncomfortable Angelo around the corner.

"Hey Penny, I kind of have a deal with Angelo, so I kind of have to pass out real quick so we can hopefully leave." I explained to her in a whisper.

She winked. "Just fall down, and I'll do the rest."

I nodded before I began to fake cough.

"Everything alright Mer?" Gio asked.

"I-I-," and then I 'fainted.' I was already prepared to make it seem as if I quite literally passed out, and thanks to my apparently pretty good acting skills, it worked.

"Oh no, she must have had horse radish." Penny rushed to my side. Maybe I got my skills from her, because this is an entire Oscar level performance.

"Angelo! Gino!"

I heard two pairs of feet come racing.

"What happened?" They both asked at the same time.

"There wasn't any horseradish in anything." Georgia tried to make sense of the situation.

"It could have come in contact with something she ate." Penny shot back.

"I'll carry her back home." I heard Angelo volunteer, followed by what sounded like a feminine sigh of annoyance. Bitch, I just passed out. Let him go.

"The dinner was very nice, but I'm afraid we need to go back home and make sure she's ok." Gio helped us out.

I felt two arms pick me, and Angelo begin to move towards the door with me.

As soon as we were outside, I opened my eyes just a little bit.

"You so owe me for this."

"There's chocolate ice cream in the freezer."

"Deal."
