I woke early and got ready because I smelled coffee and figured Blaine was up, but instead, I was greeted by a middle-aged woman making breakfast. She said her name is Karen and works for Blaine's friend Phillip.

I realized quickly she was making eggs, and when I smelled them, things took a turn for the worse. I tried to play it cool but quickly made it to the downstairs bathroom to get sick. I hugged that toilet and prayed for mercy until the violent and disgusting involuntary event subsided. I could barely get off the floor, but mustered all my strength and flushed the toilet before rinsing my mouth. I looked in the mirror and the pale face stared back at me. If there's one thing I'm sure of, it's my desire to see the second trimester so this sickness fades.

I went up to my temporary room, then to my bathroom to brush my teeth and clean off the running mascara. I then laid down for a few minutes in hopes this sickness passes soon.

It wasn't long when I heard a tap on my door.

"Yes?"

"Cora, are you okay?  Karen said you looked ill."

"No, I'm fine.  No problems in here, I'll be out in just a minute." I lied, it won't be long until he gets suspicious.  I don't think I can bear the way he will look at me.

"Okay, I'll meet you downstairs for breakfast." He said.

"Alright, I'll be right down," I said.

I groaned and pushed myself out of bed before taking a quick look at my hair and going back downstairs.

"Sorry if I left you waiting." Blaine was already seated, but stood and helped with my chair.  It does get a little annoying. I might be blond, but I can manage my own chair.

"Thank you," I said, and he walked around to his own chair and took a seat across from me.  He placed his napkin on his lap and took a drink of his coffee, while Karen asked me what I would like for breakfast.

"Just some toast and water please," I said.

"Are you sure you're alright?  That's not much of a breakfast." He said.

"I'm fine, just not so hungry this morning."

"I called Sinclair and asked him to meet us here this morning.  We have to get access to Cassidy's house, and it's ridiculous they have kept us out.  Not only am I her brother, but you're the rightful owner according to her will, they can't keep us out much longer.  I also want to make sure they haven't started looking for the child.  They could lead the old man right to him or her and that is obviously not ideal." He said.

God, I don't feel well.

"They said there is no reason to investigate the child, I already asked, but I can certainly see why you wouldn't want them to look.  I don't feel they have been competent on this case.  They should have found her identity earlier just because she was reported missing.  They were more worried about tracing her money, than making sure her child is safe." I said as Karen set down my water and toast.

"Thank you," I said, and she nodded before walking away.  It's obvious Blaine doesn't want her overhearing our conversation.

He ate while I slowly forced the water and toast down.  It wasn't long before the detectives arrived.

"It's nice to see you again, Miss Ashley," Sinclair said.

"Likewise, and thank you for coming," I said.

"Miss Ashley, you're as beautiful as ever," Franks said.

"Thank you," I said as Blaine gave me a funny smirk, and I just rolled my eyes.

They greeted Blaine and he got right to the point.

"When will the home be cleared for us to enter?  We have affairs to settle, and in order to do that, we need access." He asked.

They looked at each other, then to Blaine.  "Miss Ashley is cleared to enter," Franks said.

"Good, have there been any developments?  Anything that could tell us about her life before she met Cora?" Blaine asked.

Yeah right, all they cared about was tracing the money.

"No, we will be closing the case once the DNA has proven her identity," Franks said.

Blaine's father went to a lab yesterday, so it could be awhile for the results come back. They spoke a bit longer and finally they left.

"Those two couldn't find their way out of a box, let alone solve a case, " Blaine said in a disgusted tone as he dialed his phone.

"Please have a car ready to take us to my sister's home." He said, then stuck his phone in his pocket.

That would be the moment a second wave of nausea hit me.  I'm not sure I'm ready to step foot back in that house.

"Cora, if you're not feeling well, I can go alone, and you can stay behind to rest." He said.

"No, I'll be okay.  I just feel uneasy about going back into the house.  We made many memories in that house, and it won't be easy to step inside again."

"You don't have to go." He said.

"No, we need to end this, and maybe one of those memories will give us a clue."

"If at any point it gets too overwhelming, we will leave. I can't have you getting sick." He said.

"No, I really am fine.  We just need to go and get it over." I said.

"Okay, then let's go." He said and grabbed his things.

We walked downstairs where an SUV was waiting for us.  I gave directions to the house, and when we pulled into the driveway, I felt my stomach turn.  I was able to control it and just hoped it would soon subside.

Blaine helped me out of the car, and I pulled out my key.  I never handed it over, and really it was just a mistake.  Something I forgot when I left.
