When we got to the penthouse, his manners weren't lost, but he is still quiet and angry.  His phone was ringing off the hook and he was hitting the ignore button, so I'm guessing it was the woman herself calling.

After we walked into the penthouse, he walked straight to his bedroom and shut the door.  I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do, but this baby bump is growling.  Karen isn't in sight, so I looked in the freezer and fridge for something to make for dinner.  Problem is, nothing sounds good enough.  Ordering out is probably a bad idea, I'm not sure Blaine wants to deal with his security tonight.

I finally talked my growling belly into some orange chicken since all the ingredients are here.  I started cooking, but jumped when I heard shouting come from upstairs. He must be lashing out at everyone, not just Ciara.  I really didn't want to hear it, so I turned on the stereo and made dinner.

I'm pissed, but Blaine was betrayed by people he trusted.  I was too, but not at that level.  I was reminded once again about betrayal, when I heard my phone ring and it was Gray.  I really don't feel like dealing with him, but he has to stop calling, so I turned down the stereo and answered the call.

"Hi, Gray."

"Cora, where the hell have you been?  I've tried to reach you for days now." He asked.

"Well, right now I'm in Seattle tying up some loose ends," I said.

"Seattle, and you didn't tell me?  Where are you staying?" He asked.

"I'm with Lisa's brother and we are staying at his friend's place.  It won't be a long visit, and we have a lot to do. What did you need Gray?" I asked.

"I just want to make sure you're alright and see how our baby is doing.  Is everything okay?" He asked.

"Yes, the baby is fine.  My doctor's appointment went fine, she just confirmed the due date." I said.

"That's good to hear.  How are you feeling?" He asked.

"Sick on and off, I can't wait to hit the second trimester," I said.

"Yeah, you'll feel better, and the baby will grow quickly after 12 weeks.  Are you getting enough food and rest?" He asked.

"Yeah, even when I feel sick, I force something down.  The vitamins help a little, but certain smells make me sick." I said.

"I'm sorry about that. I'm sure it's not easy with everything else happening.  I just hope you're putting yourself and the baby ahead of everything else." He said.

"I am, but I'm just busy and trying to tie everything up, so I can concentrate on this next chapter," I said.

"I'll be there the entire time, and if there's anything I can ever do to help, please let me know.  You're my top priority right now.  I'll be leaving Seattle on the 15th, and will have some time off before I start at Children's.  I'll be around to help with your move and hopefully start the nursery." He said.

"Thanks, Gray.  I have to go, I'm making dinner, but I'll call you when I get home." I said.

"Okay, be careful, and it won't be much longer and I'll be at your side." He said.

Ugh...

"Okay, see you in a few weeks, Gray."

We both said goodbye and hung up.  I appreciate his concern, but I don't look forward to him being around all the time.

Blaine came down and went straight to the bar.  He just stood there and threw back a few shots of whiskey while I cooked.  I could feel his eyes on me, but tried to just ignore it.  He will talk when he is ready.

"Dinner will be ready soon," I said.

"You didn't have to go through the trouble." His voice sounds cold and annoyed.

I looked over my shoulder, and he was close.

"We both need to eat," I said.

"I suppose, are you okay?" He asked in a much tender voice than a few moments ago.

"Yeah, I'm fine, but more worried about you right now," I said.

"Don't worry about me, I'm fine." He said.

I set down the spatula I was using and turned toward him.

"I am worried about you, and I'm here when you're ready to talk," I said.

"Thanks, but there isn't much to talk about." He said.

I stepped closer.  "Blaine, it's okay to be hurt, and also to grieve.  I know you have people depending on you, but I'm not one of them.  I know you think you have to be strong for everyone else, but there's no need for that around me. I won't say another word, just please don't forget I'm here when you're ready."

He sighed.  "I know, and thanks for that, Cora." He took a step closer.  "I'm sorry I lost my temper around you."

I shook my head.  "It's okay, I can't blame you for that, it was a lot to absorb, and to be honest, I'm pissed too.  I'm also hurt for your parents. Its just too much, and you're carrying all that weight on your shoulders." I leaned against the counter and crossed my arms.

There was an awkward silence until he broke it.

"Whatever you're cooking smells amazing. I wasn't hungry until I smelled it, what is it?" He asked.

"Orange chicken, it doesn't take long and will be done soon." I walked over to the stove and started cooking again, but I could feel his eyes still on me.
