The appointment with my new O.B. went as expected, which was a weight off my shoulders.  I'm not due back for a month unless I experience any problems.  I know the date of conception, so there's no surprise there, and she just backed up everything Dr. James said.  I also found an app for my phone that will track our progress as the baby grows, and right now, it's the size of a blueberry.

I went home and told Mom everything.  I knew she would be upset, but I have at least another week in her home and she deserves the truth.  She agreed with Blaine on everything, I should end the whole damn thing now that she is gone so I can start my own life.  Now that I'm pregnant, she is very worried about my safety.  She's worried about the amount of traveling I am doing, but the doctor said it's fine as long as I'm getting rest.

I held Izzy for a while, I've missed her ever since I came back home.  My bags are packed and just as promised, Blaine has work tied up for me, that is according to the station manager.

I was just getting relaxed when Blaine's security rang the doorbell and it was time to go to the airport.  I hate riding in the car with these men. I thought Blaine was stone cold, but these guys are no joke.  They are both large men, and I know they are armed.

We arrived at Lunkin Airport and, of course, they drove on the tarmac where I saw Blaine's jet.  It looks like it's ready to go, it's lit up like it was just waiting for me.  I was surprised to see Blaine exit the craft wearing jeans and a button-up then making his way to my car.  Another man took my luggage, and Blaine was standing in front of me as soon as I exited the car.

"Thanks again for coming." He said as he placed his hand on the small of my back, as he me up the steps and into the jet.

I quickly sat down and watched as he spoke to the captain, then finally made his way over to me.

"Have you had dinner?" He asked.

I shook my head.  "No, I had a late lunch."

He smiled.  "Good, once we are in the air we can eat. What would you like to drink?  There's juice and water."

"Juice would be great."

He had the flight attendant bring us drinks, and I noticed he also ordered juice.  Maybe he took me serious about the healthy diet I'm on, too bad he doesn't know it's because of the baby.

"How was your appointment?" He asked.

"Good, " How should I answer that when he doesn't know it's a doctor's appointment? "Where will we be staying?" I asked.

"A friend of mine has a penthouse downtown.  Have you heard any more about Cassidy's belongings?" He asked.

"Detective Franks said nothing will be released until the DNA test confirms her identity.  I've been trying to get back in the house to search her room for any clues, but they won't budge." I said.

He smirked.

"What's that smirk about?" I asked.

He shook his head.  "Nothing."

"You don't get to do that, Blaine.  You can't keep secrets."

Oh yeah, I should listen to myself.

He cleared his throat.  "Your detective is trying to keep you close."

"Close to what?"

He looked at me.  "You don't see it?  He's interested in you."

I shook my head.  "That's ridiculous."

"You won't give him a chance?  There's someone back home?" He asked, and I shook my head.

"No, there's nobody, and as far as Franks, no thanks.  I wouldn't date a cop, too much drama." I said, and he chuckled.

"Drama?" He asked.

I shrugged.  "Yeah, they like the excitement of their jobs and leave their loved ones to worry.  That's not a life for me." I said.

"So, there's no attachments back home or Seattle?"

What is he hinting at here?

"No, what about you?" I asked.

"We aren't talking about me, we are discussing you because of Franks." He said.

"So, my personal life is up for discussion, but not yours?" I asked.

He nodded.  "Yeah, something like that, I guess."

"There he goes again, " I said.

"What?" He acted innocent.

"Okay, from now on, if you ask a question and I answer, I get to ask you a question.  You have to answer, no excuses.  This way I'm not the only one sharing." I said.

"My life is complicated, Cora."

He has no idea...

"Maybe mine is too," I said.

He nodded.  "I have a feeling that is true." He said and looked the other way.

"What do you mean by that?"

He shrugged.  "I'm guessing there was someone in Seattle."

Ugh...

"Well, is this your question?" I asked.

He shrugged.  "It may help to know who was in your lives."

That's bullshit! Maybe Cassidy's life, but not mine.

"If I answer, you have to answer my question, are you prepared?" I asked.

He groaned.  "Really?  I hate talking about myself."

I snorted.  "No shit."

"Alright, fine, tell me." He said.

I cleared my throat.  "Alright, well, I might have told you I moved to Seattle for my boyfriend at the time.  His name is Gray and he is a doctor, a pediatrician actually.  At the time he was doing a residency and I came with him, then got a job at the station.  Anyway, we broke up and Lis...I mean, Cassidy, was my friend at the time and invited me to stay with her when I left him.  I refused to speak to Gray for a year, then we spoke and developed a friendship."

"Why did you leave?" He interrupted.

"Well, I'll protect your sensitive little ears and just say he enjoyed some extracurricular activities outside of our relationship with a nurse," I said.

"He cheated on you?" He snapped a little.

"Woah, it's okay.  I forgave him but refused a relationship when I found out he also was sleeping with my friend in college.  He is threatening to move home to be closer to me, but there's no chance in hell I would ever commit to him again." I said.

"How long ago was this relationship?" He asked.

"We stopped being exclusive six years ago," I answered.  "You do realize you've asked more than one question." I pointed out.

I'm not sure he got that last part.

"Exclusive, meaning you still share a bed with him?" He sounded disgusted.

I shook my head.  "No, it won't happen again. As of seven weeks ago, we did, but not anymore.  It's more important than ever to stop now, he needs to move on." I said.

The flight attendant brought out our food and there's a table in the back, so we moved.
