Earl POV

I sat in front of Leonardo's son in another room that was similar to the other one minus the corpses. He poured three glasses of whiskey before giving my brother and I a glass each. We all took a few sips before the younger man broke the silence by presented himself.

"Matteo Ferrari, it is a pleasure to finally meet you," he said with a slight accent as he extended his hand toward me.

"Earl King," I sharply nodded as we exchanged a firm handshake.

"Shelby has already explained everything to me since his last visit here. After our meeting, he has opened my eyes. Unlike my father, I will like to see the alliance come to life. Our organization is presently frozen in the past. I have tried to convince my father that we had to change, but he has always been too stubborn..." he started to explain with a contemplative smile. "That is why I have decided that it was time to replace my father, that a revolution was needed. We need to open up to the outside world," he paused, "Here's my proposition, we will let you do whatever you want here in Rome, under my supervision, of course. But, I will like the same favour from your side," I sat back as I carefully listened to him even if I heard the door open and close. "I hope we can also exchange weapons, information and resources."

I looked at the man assessing his proposition which was exactly what I wanted, well almost everything. Since he was so willing, some negotiating was in order.

"I won't turn around the bush. I'm pleased to know that you agree with those terms, but give me some of your territories," I bargained which made the younger man raise an eyebrow as I felt Shelby's eyes on me. He must be mad since he didn't know about it or maybe it was because I was about to blow it all away. I knew what I was doing was risky, but it was needed for us to become more influential.

"I hope you're not thinking that I will give them to you for free."

"We don't have enough money," whispered Shelby in an accusatory tone next to my ear, but I ignored his remark since we won't need any.

"There are still some powerful men who are still loyal to Leonardo Ferrari. Do you think you'll be able to contain all of their wraths by winning them over? But even if you do, there is no guarantee that they won't betray you like you did to your own father," I taunted. Being the new leader, he had yet to make sure that all his men were loyal to him and him alone. "Let me get them out of your way and in exchange, I'll take three of your territories."

"You don't have near enough the manpower," he retorted with an accusatory tone as I took a sip of my drink.

"Let me ask you, Matteo Ferrari, how many men are still blocking your way to this revolution?"

"A total of two hundred men or so," he answered vaguely with a smirk.

I looked at Kane who was already beside me. "Do you think you can do it?" I asked and he nodded in answer without any hesitation, "How long will it take?" I continued with a teasing glare since I knew that he wouldn't be taking too long. I just wanted to tease him when I could.

"It'll be done by tonight," he shortly answered making me nod in agreement as both the other men choked on their saliva.

"Good, you know what to do," I dismissed him and before he left, I felt his glare on the back of my head. I was so screwed. He was already mad at the little stunt I made him do earlier. I could already feel it in my gut, he will fucking beat me up tonight.

"They are heavily armed and the men there are well trained! Do you think that one man can take care of this matter alone and finish it for tonight?" Matteo asked incredulously.

"Of course," I said in a matter of fact since Kane wasn't completely human.

The man shook his head, "Bastardo folle," he mumbled to himself. (Crazy bastard) "You're insane, but I like that," he laughed it off as I let out a chuckle.

"So, about those territories..."

Kane POV

I closed the door behind me and walked into the hallway until I noticed Aaron playing with his phone as he was sitting on a chair in the corner.

When I was in front of him, I ordered, "The keys."

The man looked up to see who it was before asking confusedly with a frown, "Where's Earl?"

"Negotiating," I answered as I extended my hand as he took out the car keys. "Wait for him and when he's finished, call a cab and return to the hotel. Don't let him wander away," I glare at him which made Aaron scowl in annoyance.

"I'm not a babysitter..."

Without sparing him a second glance, I walked out of the restaurant. I unlocked the car doors and sat in the passenger's seat. I took out my phone to insert the address of my targets on the GPS. I already had suspected Earl to pull a stunt like that, so before I killed Leonardo, I asked him about his allies. Since he refused to answer willingly, I had to break his fingers, then his arms. Even then he was a stubborn bastard. It took me a lot of effort to make him talk. I even went as far as castrating him, before he accepted to talk. It wasn't pretty, old men balls and penis were something I didn't want to see ever again.

I followed the GPS' instructions until I arrived at my destination. I looked at the building and sighed. There were at least twenty floors filled with cockroaches. I parked my car and went out to take a smoke. As I inhaled some of that disgusting shit, I noticed that some of the civilians were walking in rounds. They were guards, but at the look of it, they weren't heavily armed since they could hide their weapons under their thin clothing.

I didn't have a lot of ammo left, but if I could steal theirs, it would make my life easier. Fortunately for me, I somehow succeeded to bypass the airport security and my daggers were in the trunk. I wondered if Earl knew about it?

What to do? Barge inside or swiftly kill everyone without too much fuss?

Decided, I tossed the cigarette on the ground before stepping on it. I went to take out my dagger's case from the trunk. I naturally walk in front of the building as I silently follow one of the guards. Once there were almost no civilian, I reduce the distance between us as I take out my gun with a silencer. Once he was in reach, I push it on his back which made his muscles lock up.

"Silenzio, continua a camminare," I ordered as he obeyed. (Silence, keep walking.) "Girare a destra," I added after we walked a few meters into an alley. (Turn right.)

Without a word, I pulled the trigger and the body heavily dropped on the floor. Swiftly, I tossed the body into a big garbage bin after I looked through his pants' pocket and took his gun away. After examining the cartridge magazine which was full, I hid the gun in the back of my pants. When I started to hear someone's footsteps, I closed the garbage bin before rapidly walking away.

Once I had a few guns on me, I finally decided to walk inside the building. I will be very mad if the man in charge of this territory was absent. I wasn't in the mood to wait for him, I had to go back to the hotel as soon as possible. Earl really had been yearning for a punishment.

I successfully walked into the building's lobby, but I could already feel people's gaze on my back. It was as if they knew I wasn't one of them. I called for the elevator and when the door opened, a woman blocked my way.

"Mi scusi, hai un appuntamento?" she asked nervously as she looked behind me sweating. (Excuse me, do you have an appointment?)

"Io lavoro qui," I answered in an accusation which made her sweat even more since I didn't walk away. (I work here.)

"In quale dipartimento sei, signore?" she asked again which made me sigh in annoyance. (In which department are you, sir?)

"Fuck it, let's do it the rough way," I mumbled to myself before shooting a bullet straight into her heart.

There was a moment of silence before everyone started to curse in Italian. Without waiting for them to kill me, I started to shot on people until my cartridge emptied out. Since there were only ten guards in the lobby, everything went rather smoothly. I opened my case and took the daggers out. Everything will be done faster with my babies. As long as I remember, I always had them with me.

I walked into the elevator and went to the last floor. I didn't want the main dish to flee after the commotion I just created. As soon as the doors opened, they started to shoot on me. Fortunately, my daggers were long enough to protect my vital organs. I few holes in my body won't slow me down. So, I ran toward them as I deflected some of the bullets with my own weapon. When I was close enough, I jumped and went to slash the first man's head down. Once I had landed on my feet, I used the momentum to spring toward the next victim. He was so surprised that he fell on his ass. Without any hesitation, I killed him too. On the corner of my eyes, I saw another guard aiming for me. So I threw my dagger at her before taking out a gun and shot her straight between her eyes.

When her body fell on the ground, I looked at my surroundings. There was only one door on the whole floor, typical. Before I opened the doors, I went to take back my dagger. I seriously doubted that he only had three men guarding him. So, the only possible possibility left was that there was a huge amount of men defending on the other side.

I made my way until I reach the elevator. There was at least ten to twenty meters separating the door and myself. It was barely enough to gain some speed, but I will have to make it work. I counted to three in my head before breaking into a sprint. Then I jumped and kicked the door open. As soon as I landed, I crouched down and jumped behind a huge plant to avoid the flying bullets. I took out a small grenade that I took from one of the dead guards, activated it and tossed it on the other side. There were a deafening explosion and a powerful blast that immediately killed some of the men. Of course, I got a few injuries like a few burns, but nothing that I couldn't handle.

I closely listened for any voices, but I could only hear groans of pain. I armed myself with a dagger in my hand and a gun on the other. I stood up and examined my surroundings. I used the gun to finish the ones who were still alive after the explosion. There was no sign of the man I was looking for. If he wasn't here, so why bother protecting the room? There must be something I overlooked.

I went to look at the library just behind the desk since the simplest things could sometimes be the solution. I moved my hand on the books. Like hell, I was going to search one book at the time. I let go of my weapons and punched at the bookshelf. As expected, there was a secret passageway. I walked through the hole I just created and walked down the stairs. Once I reached the end of it, there was a metal door. Without any hesitation, I punched at it, but instead of breaking away, only a small bump was created.

It was tough, impressive. A few hundred years ago, nothing could stand my sheer strength. Even though, the door won't last. I hit the door a second time at the same place which made it dent even more. I just had to punch it until the door breaks. When it finally did, I saw my target.

"Ti ho trovato," I said with a smile as I entered the high-security room. (Found you.)

I must have a creepy smile on my face because the man constantly begged me to get away from him, that he would do anything if I spared him and so on.

"Let's have some fun before I kill you," I added before taking a smaller knife out which made the man screech.
