"Tommy, are you okay?" She asked, stepping towards him. His head was down and he was shaking.

"I'm-im fine." He said quietly. "You should go. Who knows when he'll be back." He shook his head.

"Tommy..."

"Just go, okay?" He yelled, turning to her. Tears were welled up in his eyes and his hands had burns on them that hadn't been there before. She sighed, and handed him some bandages before she set off back towards L'Manburg.

Jay walked into Phil's house, carrying a small cake on a plate.

"I brought desert, I need to talk to you." She said, putting it down on the table. She and her dad had started having family meals once a week to keep track of each other's lives. Sometimes it was at Phils house, sometimes at hers, and they had gone once to Technos. Phil brought over a platter of chicken and they sat.

"What's up?"

"Somethings up with Tommy. I think Dream is manipulating him. He told him that no one here cared about him anymore. That no one loved him, and he was his only friend now." She sighed and grabbed some of the chicken. "I'm just worried... he's not... he's just not Tommy right now."

"He's going to have to go through this. There's nothing we can do right now. Dream threatened the lives of everyone else here." He sighed and shook his head.

"You know I would do anything for that kid." She said softly, "And that includes putting myself in danger to protect him. So if that means Dream finds out I'm his sister, or I have to go to war, or I have to turn into another Wilbur then that's what I'm going to do."

"Jay-"

"No, dad. Look, I get it. You were only protecting yourself and everyone else by not going near him. But he's still a kid, he's still your kid. Leaving him out there isn't going to do anything but hurt him." She stood. "We have to do something. I'm going to, with or without you."

"I can't."

"Fine." She walked out.
