"Jay." Dream said, towering over her. She was moving into a new home, close by Phil's, and was sat on the floor sorting the few things she had acquired in her time there. She looked up at him.

"Dream." She resumed sorting, setting a flower pot on the shelf.

"I came here to ask you for something." She cocked her head at him.

"Okay..."

"I need someone to spruce up the SMP a bit. I'm thinking parks and little shops and things. I'll pay you in... well, pretty much anything you need." He said, sitting down next to her and grabbing a few things off the floor, setting them in a shelf. "Phil showed me the little bit you did the other day. It was gorgeous. Maybe you could make more stuff look like that." He shrugged.

She had built up a small farm just outside of L'Manburg for everyone to use. With animal pens and a small garden. It wasn't anything fancy, but she liked it.

"I mean, sure, why not. As long as you get me the supplies." She nodded.

"Of course. Everything will be supplied to you." He continued to help her put her things away, quickly filling up the shelves. "Oh, by the way, I brought you something. Think of it as a Welcome to the Neighborhood present." He opened the front door and pulled out a shield. It was bright green with Dream Team painted in black. He held it out. "I can trust you to be on my side, right?" He knocked his mask to the side and Jay could now clearly see his face. Bright green eyes and sandy blonde hair fit him quite well. She sighed shakily and took the shield from him.

"Of course, Dream." He smiled and turned to go.

"And, you know, since your new here," He turned back to her once more, "there's a lot of people who are going to want you on their side. Keep that around and no one will mess with you." And then he was gone. Once she was sure he had gone, she grabbed out paint from one of the boxes and quickly painted on the back of the shield "TWJT Maddox" on the bottom corner. If she had to wear the stupid shield, she was going to have it represent her correctly. She nodded and headed out, slinging the shield onto her back.

Jay was on her knees slowly planting flowers along the path. She had spent the day hanging new lights and now it was time to make it pretty. The sun was beginning to set as the finished her last area for the day. She smiled and stood, looking around. Behind her was a house she hadn't seen before. She walked up the the door, and brushed dirt off the old sign. It read "TommyInnit Enterprises". She stared up at her little brothers handwriting and pushed on the door, which swung open.

She stepped inside and looked around. It was messy, but her brother always was. She walked into the back room, taking in everything that was her brothers life since she left. All that stood here was a bed and a few boxes, it looked almost like Technos house. She walked over to one and found a photograph. She hadn't seen it in years, but it was a picture of Tommy as a baby, with Jay holding him. Wilbur was sitting in the corner and Techno was looking over her shoulder. It was sweet. She remembered this day, she was very very young, but it was around Tommy's 6 month birthday. All of the kids had given their father a day off of watching Tommy and they all ended up falling asleep in his nursery. She tucked the picture into her back pocket and walked out of the house. Just as she was shutting the door, she was stopped.

A young boy, the same age as Tommy and looking very similar to him, was standing watching her.

"You're... you're Jocelyn, right?" He asked softly, almost shyly.

"It's Jay, please just call me Jay." She took a step away from the house. "You must be Tubbo then." She reached her hand out towards him. "Wilbur told me I had a new little brother." She smiled.

Tubbo looked sad for a moment, and Jay could swear she saw the flash of tears in his eyes, and then he was hugging her. So tightly, and she was only slightly taller than him, but in that moment he looked so small. She wrapped her arms tightly around him, mustering up as much sisterly love as she could.

"I did a bad thing." He whispered into her shoulder.

"Everyone does bad things sometimes. But the fact that you can admit it means you've already grown." She pulled away just slightly to look at his face, cheeks now wet with tears. "Don't worry, Tubbo," she wiped a falling tear away with her thumb, "we're gonna get him back. That's why I'm here." She nodded. "You're going to fix this-We're going to fix this." She smiled.

Tubbo pulled out of the hug, looking shyly to the ground. "I'm sorry, it's just... I've never heard anyone call me their little brother before." He smiled.

"Well you are, aren't you? My little brother? Technos never been the sappy kind and Wil means well, but you know..." she shook her head, "my whole life, I've been alone. Only girl in the family... only sister, only daughter, only quiet child, so many 'only's. And what I didn't know back then was that those onlys didn't make me weak. They didn't make me less than. Those onlys make me who I am, and they make me stronger." She took a step towards him. "And if that means I'm also the only one who has called you my brother, then that makes it all worth it." It was silent for a moment, and then Tubbo looked up at her.

"When you were younger, why did you run away?" He asked. She looked down.

"Our family has always been a bit dysfunctional. Mom died after Tommy was born, leaving Techno and Wil to help dad look after us two. And as the only child younger than me, I tried to take up that role model spot in Tommy's life. And I did, for a while. Techno and Wilbur were too busy with each other, so I taught Tommy everything I knew. How to fight, how to tie a knot, how to find food in the wild, how to climb trees, how to make friends," she sighed, "and for a while I was enough for him. For a while he was perfectly content to have his older sister teach him. And then one day dad got back from one of his many trips. He looked really tired so we all just left him alone. When he came down for dinner, which Techno had made, he didn't say a word to us. Something happened on that trip but we don't really know what. The next few days Tommy was trying to impress dad. We would spar out in the forest and he dragged dad to watch one day. Tommy and I went at it and he beat me. Which I was excited about. But then he just kept hitting me. Kept going, wouldn't stop. I don't think he meant it, but he beat me up pretty bad. Eventually Wilbur pulled him off. Techno came over to make sure I was okay, and all I saw was dad shaking his head and walking away. And I just ran. And just kept running. I heard them yell after me but they didn't follow. I think they assumed I would come back. I don't know where I was going, all I knew was I was going away from them."

"That's... so then how did Wilbur know where you were?" He wondered.

"Wilbur came looking for me one day. I wasn't ever that far. Just a town maybe 10 miles away from our house. He found me working with the people in the village. I asked him not to tell anyone, and he didn't. Just sent me letters. Once a week, sometimes more. He would send me pictures, sometimes he'd ask me to come back. I never wrote him, but I think he knew I was reading them all. He wrote me when he was creating L'Manburg. And that was the first time I ever wrote him back. I knew about his plan to blow everything up, but I never thought he would be killed by dad."

"Yeah. That day was... it was something." Tubbo looked lost in memory. "Well, I'm glad you decided to come help us with Tommy. I know it probably wasn't easy for you."

"Yeah, well, it's family. And no matter what happens, family always comes first."
