This was it. The end. Perhaps the end of the war, perhaps the end of their lives. But it was ending, one way or another.

Tommy and Tubbo had spent the morning doing final preparations, unsure of what the day would hold. Jay spent the final hours in their home, alone. She pulled on her armor and headed out to the path. Everyone had agreed to stand to see the boys off, lining the path with friendly faces. She stood at the end, with Puffy and Sam to either side of her. They could probably sense her nerves, and it was nice to have people who supported her nearby.

As the two boys started down the path, stopping at each person there, Jay felt her worry grow. There were these two teenagers, far too young to be going through this, and they were headed off to what might be their deaths. Sam put a hand on her shoulder as the boys crept ever closer, comforting her ever so slightly.

As the boys reached her, they looked scared. Terrified. She felt her resolve break as she lunged forward and hugged both of them.

"Thank you, Jay." Tubbo whispered, squeezing tightly. Tommy nodded.

"For everything." He added.

Jay pulled back and placed a hand on Tommy's cheek.

"Come back home, alive please." She said. "I'll be waiting." She turned to Tubbo. "For both of you. Both of you better return or I'll chase your asses to the afterlife." She laughed softly, though something in her tone told them she wasn't joking.

"We will." Tubbo nodded.

And then they continued down the path. People began to slowly disperse, but Jay stayed there until they were out of sight, and then for a little longer after that.

She sat on the path until the sun was high in the sky, beating down on her. And Puffy walked up, helped her off the ground, and slowly guided her away.

Everyone was silent. The people who were around didn't speak, and if they did it was in hushed tones.

Jay headed to where she had planned to meet a bunch of them.

They didn't want to be alone if the worst happened.

She walked into the house, where Big Q, Sam, and Eret already were.

She sat with them, all in complete silence.

You could hear a pin drop.

Waiting for something.

The boys to return.

Burning and screams.

Death messages.

Anything.

Anything.

And then there was yelling out on the street.

They all exited the house to Punz and Sapnap running down the path, screaming.

"What's going on?" Eret asked, confused.

"Dream. We know what he's going to do. He's gonna trap them." Punz said quickly, breathing heavy. "He's gonna kill Tubbo. We have to go. Quick, come on." He said, then continued running.

Soon, the small group had turned into almost everyone in the city, running as quickly as they could towards wherever Punz was leading them.

They went through the nether and eventually found their way to a portal, hidden in a bunker. It was covered in dark black, almost purple, walls. They were strong, Dream thought of everything. Including this hidden and impenetrable fortress.

Punz seemed to know his way around, leading them around a few obstacles before they found a small opening.

"Okay, he may be expecting this. So as soon as we go in, someone get Tommy and Tubbo. He'll probably try to go for them first." Punz explained. And they all collectively stepped through the portal.

"He described me as a pawn, this is checkmate." They all heard. "I suggest you resign."

"What am I without you?"

"Yourself."

"Say goodbye, Tubbo."

"I'm sorry Dream," Punz said, stepping out, everyone behind him, "but you should have paid me more."

Jay ran forward as Dream started towards Tubbo, stopping his sword with her own. "Get away from him."

Dream pulled back and swung again, this time at Jay. She quickly blocked him and took her own swing, just barely missing his side as he moved away.

Dream swung again, but lower, and it was much harder to block. That was when Jay remembered something.

Something she had seen a long time ago.

Jay shoved him away from her and quickly stepped to his left side, kicking him in the ribs, causing him to double over. She hit him again over the back, which knocked him over. He fell to the ground, sword falling out of his hand.

"That's enough." Sapnap ran over and stopped him from grabbing his sword again.

Dream looked confused. Jay didn't care. She ran towards her brothers, assessing their injuries. Tubbo looked the most beat up, bleeding from various areas and bruised, limping when he walked. Tommy seemed to be doing much better, but neither of them had anything on them anymore.

Their armor was gone.

Jay immediately took hers off, splitting it between the boys so they would have some kind of protection.

Tubbo was crying now, collapsing into Tommy's arms. He looked so scared.

"You're safe, you're safe." Jay said, ushering the both of them behind the crowd. Tubbo was practically babbling as Tommy hushed him, holding him tightly in his arms. Tubbo composed himself after a moment.

"The discs." Tommy gasped out.

They both ran towards the discs that were laying displayed. Each grabbing one, they smiled.

Dream was backed into a corner now. Tommy and Tubbo walked up to him.

"Dream," Tommy began, laughing. "Put your things in the hole."

Dream did so, hesitantly. Tommy scooped it all up and tucked it away.

"Tell them all what you did." He said, turning towards the group. "Tell them what you told me."

"I blew up the community house." Dream mumbled.

"Tell them everything."

"I gave Wilbur the TNT, I drove him crazy, I blew up the Community House, I stole your stuff, everytime you thought it was Tommy, it was me. I manipulated the government into exiling Tommy so I would have control, I manipulated Tommy into thinking no one cared, I manipulated Tubbo into thinking Tommy didn't want him anymore." Dream looked completely stoic, no emotion. "I blew up Logstedshire, I injured Tommy, bad. I did it all."

Gasps of shock rang out from the crowd of people, quiet whispers hushing their way across the group.

"Look around you." Tommy said, stepping up once more. "He was trying to take everything, everything anyone ever loved in this world, and lock it away. So he had all the power. Go see for yourself!"

Everyone began walking down the hallway. Everything was there, or had a place. Ranboo's pets, Technos weapons, Friend the sheep, Nikis fox, Tommy's cow, even Skeppy had a place here. And then, at the end of the hallway, a larger cage that had a name above it; Jocelyn Treun Maddox.

Jay suddenly felt like she couldn't breathe. This whole time, he knew who she was. He knew her attachments in the world. And he was planning on using it against her. He wanted to get her to trust him so he could take her away from her family again.

What would have happened if Techno hadn't helped her that day?

She felt her jaw clench as she turned back around and grabbed the Axe of Peace off the wall.

"Tommy." She said, holding it out for him.

Tommy looked around, then grabbed the axe and advanced on Dream. "And now I'm going to kill you. I'm going to kill you until you're dead, and no one will ever be hurt by you again."

Dream looked scared now. "Wait!" He yelled, the Axe of Peace now poised above him. "I can bring people back!" He yelled. Tommy stopped. "I can bring people back from the dead!"

"You can-"

"I can bring people back. I can bring Wilbur back to life." He said, shielding himself with his arms.

It was silent.

"How?" Tommy asked.

"Schlatt found a book, and before he died he gave it to me. I'm the only one who knows where it is." He was backed into the wall now. "If you kill me, death is permanent."

It was silent once more. Everyone looked around, unsure of what to do.

"Well, we can't just let him roam free." Eret said from somewhere in the crowd.

"We could lock him up." Sam offered, stepping forward. "We could lock him up in the prison."

"The prison?" Tommy asked.

"I built a prison. High security, its inescapable. We can lock him up until it's time to bring Wilbur back."

"That would work." Jay nodded. "He wouldn't be able to hurt anyone."

Tommy and Tubbo both smiled wide and started laughing. They both held their hands out for Jay, who took them.

"Let's make Wilbur proud." His whispered to them both.

"For L'Manburg." Tubbo proposed.

"For L'Manburg." Tommy agreed.

"SUCK IT GREEN BOYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!"
