Arabella's POV

There was a bright light that flickered across my dark vision. Disrupting my common state of sleepiness and lazily I dragged a hand onto my face and laid it against my closed eyelids in hope of drowning out the lights.

It worked. . .for about ten seconds before a deep chuckle snapped me out of my slumber and a warm hand removed my hands over my face. I didn't dare peel my eyes open, in fear that I'd be attacked by the sun rays that beamed through this entire freaking house since everywhere was glass after all.

I waited a few seconds until my vision was no longer blurry and flickered my eyes open, squealing at the proximity between Tyler and I. His face was propped up onto his arm and his entire body was positioned like that of a model.

I could see only half of his chest that was not covered by the duvet and was already tempted to run my hands over his body but I contained myself and flopped my head back onto the pillow, groaning softly. "You scared the shit out of me you creep. What time is it anyway?"

"Good morning to you too, beautiful. And it is 8pm, classes start at ten, we have ample time to eat, get ready and leave. Maybe a little extracurricular activity if we have enough time." He whispered as he leaned closer towards me and suddenly bit my ear lightly whilst growling inhumanly.

I giggled and shoved him away, laughing loudly as he slammed against the bed and draped his hand over his chest, feigning hurt. He once again propped his cheek onto his hand and stared at me for a second in utter silence. I frowned deeply and squirmed under his intense eyes, wondering what the hell was going on in his mind.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Because I'm happy." He mumbled, a small smile crawling onto his lips as he hesitantly raised his free hand and slowly caressed it against my cheek and then lightly brushing strands of my hair behind my ear.

I caught his hand in mine and pressed my lips against his palm softly. Watching as the emotions in his eyes flew around like they were being chased. "I love you," I reassured him, or more like myself per se. He smiled and nodded his head before suddenly grabbing the duvet and flinging it over his head as he disappeared underneath it.

I frowned confusedly and slipped under the duvet. He smiled at me innocently and I shrugged, "what are you doing?"

"Enjoying the sight." He mumbled, a sheepish smile on his face. I blushed deeply and couldn't contain my laughter. Tyler smirked and gripped my wrist in his hand before lightly tugging me towards him. "C'mere."

"No, you're legit hotboxing me right now." I giggled. He smirked and leaned towards me before parting his lips and huffing into the air, a mischievous look etched on his face, "appreciate my morning breath! It comes with the entire package!" He exclaimed as he wrapped his hand around my waist and flipped me onto him.

"You're disgusting!" I exclaimed, slapping my hand over his mouth. His eyes suddenly widened and then flickered over the length of my body. I squealed and removed my hands from his lips, groaning as he chuckled loudly, "I didn't know you liked it kinky!"

"Shut up Tyler!"

"'Make me."

"So where were you two last night?" Erika inquired, her brows wiggling mischievously as she leaned into Ace who mirrored her expression. "Yeah, I was informed by my boss here that you miss Smith was in fact not present in her room last night and you Tyler never showed up to yours, care to explain thy self?"

"No." Tyler and I deadpanned simultaneously. I snapped my head towards him and we both smirked before looking away and towards our best friends who were both staring at us as if we were aliens invading their planet. "I saw that look!" Erika exclaimed.

"What look?" Tyler mumbled in boredom yet I could see beneath his mask that he was in fact amused by our current situation. "The freaky deaky look." Ace exclaimed stoically and I snorted, spitting out the drink that was currently in my mouth all over the cafeteria floor.

Tyler slapped his hand onto my back, trying to help me maintain my lost breath but really he was killing me more. "Tyler, you're straight up punching her in the back," Erika exclaimed dramatically, Tyler hissed softly and retracted his hand, mumbling sorry underneath his breath as he sent me an apologetic smile.

"You guys are p–persistent." I coughed out as I regained myself and dug into my food. "Yeah, that's why you love us." Ace smiled adorably and I cooed softly, stretching over the table to pinch his cheeks.

"Dude for the love of god a hot dog is not a sandwich," Aaron exclaimed in exasperation as he slumped down beside Ace, mumbling incoherent words under his breath as Max sat down beside me and shoved his hotdog towards Aaron.

"Yes, it is! Look a hotdog meets all the requirements to make it a sandwich, it has a product in the middle of two slices of bread, boom a sandwich."

"Yeah but it's one whole bread cut in the middle!" Aaron huffed out, his hands flying upwards in confidence but the look on Max's face led me to believe that Aaron didn't quite win this debate as yet. "A subway sandwich doesn't necessarily cut all the way through and you still call that a sandwich don't you!?"

"Oof–he has a point."

"Shut up Ace!" They both exclaimed simultaneously and I snorted once again, smiling softly as Tyler shot me a concerned look as if he was on guard for if I choked again.

"Who here believes a hot dog is a sandwich?" Aaron asked. I cowered away as Max sent me a glare when I didn't raise my hand and giggled softly when Aaron's lips parted in shock as Ace raised his hands slowly. Erika raised her hand as well and I shot her an incredulous look to which she shrugged off nonchalantly.

"Of course the two dumbest people here would agree with you!" Aaron exclaimed. The table fell into silence and my eyes widened as they trailed towards Erika whose eyes twitched slightly. She giggled softly until it gradually grew into a full-blown maniac laughter.

"This is why I say you talk too damn much." Max mimicked Aaron's voice from his lecture back at the hotel after calling Ace fat and I couldn't help but chuckle at the irony although I was high key frightened for my friend.

"I suggest you run before she rips out your balls from your mouth." Ace whispered. Aaron slowly rose up from his seat and flashed Erika a charming smile before bolting away. She grabbed the metal fork and chased after him, screaming his name at the top of her lungs.

Well then, I guess we have a funeral to plan.

"So. . .how did your thanksgiving go Max?" I asked, he smiled and grabbed his hotdog–sandwich and took a bite before placing it back onto his tray, "I mem somewham."

"Did your mother never tell you it's rude to eat and speak?" Tyler asked as if he were genuinely curious. Max flipped him off and finally swallowed his food before licking his lips and smiling once again, "as I said, I met someone."

"Oh whoopie who's the unlucky girl?" Ace mumbled sarcastically and Max shot him a glare before turning his attention back towards us. "She's–jeez I can't find the proper words. She's just so captivating! I met her at a coffee shop, got her number and everything. Maybe I can finally stop being a single Pringle and have a girlfriend."

"Wouldn't bet my life on it." Ace mumbled and Max gasped in disbelief before they both narrowed their eyes at one another and I knew that the duel was about to begin. "So do you like wanna get out of here whilst our estranged group of friends do their thing?" I asked Tyler, giggling as he rolled his eyes and scoffed dramatically.

"The fact that you even had to ask puzzles me!"

~ ~ ~

Tyler and I were currently in his dorm room, thank god Ace had class after this so he wouldn't be back in the next three hours and Erika was occupied with a new job that she got at Hot Topic which means free discounts on my jewelry or crazy ass phone cases.

"Am I legit the only one who hates this freaking app?" Tyler exclaimed in disgust as he peered down at his phone, his face mirroring his words as they were scrunched up in a very weird and uncomfortable manner. "What app?"

"Tik Tok. So goddamn annoying, can't wait till the app just seizes to exist. I mean if they can get rid of Vine what's stopping them from this abomination of thirteen-year-olds twerking for an audience. I remember at thirteen we were dancing to don't run away by Tyler James now we have that godforsaken renegade dance!"

"I love how heated you are about this." I laughed as I flopped down onto the computer chair and retrieved his laptop from under the computer desk. "God bless the world with this new generation. I swear to god they will be the downfall of this very earth." He whispered to himself.

"Okay there Mr prophecies." I whistled as I logged onto my Netflix account and scrolled through it as I tried my hardest to locate a movie Or show that was actually worth watching.

One thing I hated about Netflix is that they put on and create the most ridiculous movies and series and then cancel or remove the actual good ones. And they wonder why a lot of people don't subscribe.

If I were the head of this establishment I'd have bank rolling in faster than you can say mula. I mean I have no doubt that they're making their money but they could put in more effort. "What do you wanna watch?" I asked Tyler who never looked up from his phone and only shrugged.

"The Originals it is." I whispered to myself, smiling excitedly as I clicked onto the first episode and hopped off the chair. I made my way towards Tyler and placed the laptop beside him. We were actually missing one more thing to make this an official stay at home movie date.

"I'm gonna go get us some snacks from the vending machine. I'll be back." Tyler grunted in response and I fought to urge to thwack him across the forehead. I grabbed my purse and trekked out of the room towards the elevator and quickly rushed towards the vending machine.

"What will I have?"

Haha, everything.

I purchased one of everything, well seeing as two of the trays were empty it wasn't much anyways but still enough to accommodate both Tyler and I for forty-something minutes or more–give or take.

After retrieving all the snacks I realized that I didn't bring anything to carry them in and struggled to keep a hold of everything in my hands. I stumbled towards the elevator, ignoring the peculiar glances sent my way as I slipped in.

"Touch my food and I break your hands." I snapped at the guy who kept eyeing the pile in my hands. He pursed his lips in a thin line and looked away. I smiled in content and waited patiently until the elevator's doors slid open and I quickly rushed out and towards Tyler's room.

"I'm so stupid! I didn't even bring a bag or anything with me." I chuckled as I stepped through the threshold and closed the door behind me with my foot. With a heavy sigh, I placed everything onto the computer desk and turned towards Tyler who currently sat at the edge of the bed, his elbows resting against his knees and his face in his hand.

"Tyler, are you okay?"

"Your phone."

"What?"

"Check. Your. Phone."

I frowned deeply at the distant sound in his voice and retrieved my phone that currently sat beside him. I opened it up and immediately my eyes interlocked with the paragraph sent to me by my mother. But it was specifically on the part where she stated that I needed to marry Ryan for the sake of my family and whether I was mad at her or not I needed to go dress shopping with her.

My heart felt as if it had suddenly sunk to the bottom of my feet as the phone slipped from my fingertips. I didn't even question why he has my phone, to begin with, why he read the message, knowing Tyler he must have had a good explanation.

But that's the least of my worries.

Slowly I turned towards him and bit down onto my lip nervously when his brown eyes interlocked with mine. His face was void of emotions and it scared me not knowing what he was thinking.

"Do you mind explaining to me what the fuck I just read?"
