3rd POV.

Now that Sora began traveling with Tanjiro (and Nezuko who is inside the box that he is carrying), Sora asked Tanjiro about the Demon Slayer Corps.

Tanjiro explained everything that he knows from the goal of the Demon Slayer Corps, Nichirin Blades, and the Breathing Styles.

Sora: I see.

Tanjiro: Nii-san, I also noticed that you have a nichirin sword with you.

Sora: Oh, according to what Tamayo-san said, I already have this sword when I arrived to them.

Tanjiro: It seems like there are so much gaps with your memory.

Sora: Sorry. Now that I am somehow under a curse, I guess erasing my memories is the answer for me to live. a better life.

Sora: But at the same time, it seems like fate has other plans for me.

Tanjiro: How much do you remember?

Sora: Let's see, I don't know when I was adopted but, I do know that I was adopted by your parents and became your older brother.

Sora: The Hinokami Kagura.........

Sora: And when I found our house in ruins, covered in blood, mounds of dirt that I found, and the fact that I didn't saw you and Nezuko.

Tanjiro: I see.

Tanjiro: Sorry, I wasn't really able to be of help to you.

Sora: Don't blame yourself, Tanjiro. We weren't able to do anything within that situation because it was out of our control.

Tanjiro: ..........

Sora: So, Tanjiro, about Nezuko.......

Sora: She is a demon but in a docile state?

Tanjiro: Yes. Urokodaki-san put her in a spell that lets her see humans as her family.

Sora: I see.

Tanjiro: Also, maybe you haven't noticed, but she also remembers you.

Sora: I see.

Tanjiro: After all, you are our nii-san.

Sora: Mm.

Tanjiro: So, when you found our house after the massacre......wait, where are you even during the massacre?

Sora: We investigated it and even asked the one operating the train and he said it was all smooth sailing until he heard strange noises from the engine.

Sora: That is where the train had gone crazy due to the noises and the operator is lucky that he decided to stop before he spotted a smoke in the train's engine.

Sora: One of the passengers during that time came from a wealthy family. They charged the company of mismanagement and from there......

Sora: They sued the company and made us pay for 1 million yen.

Tanjiro: One million!?

Sora: We refused because we knew we haven't done anything wrong.

Sora: But, it only took us a day in order to come to a decision of disbanding the company and dismissing all of us.

Tanjiro: I see.

Sora: I was really worried on how will I even explain to Mom that I just lost my job.

Tanjiro: It is really hard.

Sora: And then, I don't even know what happened but I felt like there was another gap in my memories before I discovered the massacre.

Tanjiro: Please, don't force yourself, nii-san.

Sora: Right. Sorry.

As the brothers walk, Tanjiro's Kasugai Crow arrived and told them to go Southwest. To which Tanjiro and Sora became annoyed not only by the crow's voice but it's repetitive sentences.

Sora: You know, Tanjiro, I wouldn't mind cooking a crow right now.

Tanjiro: Nii-san! Don't!

Kasugai Crow: *scared*

Sora: Why?

Tanjiro: Just don't!

Sora: Fine. Hey you, Crow! You get to live, for now. If you annoy me, then I won't hesitate to cook you!

Tanjiro: Nii-san!

The two continued and while on the road, they saw a blondie, wearing a yellow haori, and seems to be clinging to a girl.

Blonde Guy: Please! Please! Please! Please!

Blonde Guy: Please marry me! I could die any day, you know!

Blonde Guy: That's why I want you to marry me!

Blonde Guy: So please! Please, I'm begging you!

The brothers were just perplexed as the crow perched on Sora's shoulder.

Tanjiro: W-What's up with that?

Sora: Tanjiro.

Tanjiro: Yes?

Sora: Don't become like that guy over there, you understand?

Sora said as he points the one wearing the yellow haori.

Tanjiro: Huh? You mean asking a girl just to marry them straight?

Sora: Other than that, don't be so pathetic in asking a girl's hand in marriage.

Sora: As the eldest children of the family, we must become the best role model to our siblings.

Sora: Even in courting other girls, got it?

Tanjiro: R-Right. I don't really get what you're saying, nii-san.....

Sora: Well, I guess you're still young and have your whole life ahead of you.

Suddenly a sparrow came flying towards the traveling siblings as the Uchiha allows the little bird to land on his right palm.

Sora: A sparrow?

Sparrow: Chu! Chu! Chu! Chu! Chuuuu!

Tanjiro: What?

Sora: What? Wait, you understood what this sparrow is talking about?

Sparrow: Chuuu! Chuu! Chuuuu!

Tanjiro: Hm. Hm. I see. I'll do something about it!

Sora: Oi, don't leave me out in the dark here.

Tanjiro: Ah, right. What he is saying is that he's tired of the whining of that person over there.

Sora: You mean that dumbass that is clinging on to girl like a desperate maniac?

Tanjiro: You don't have to be so harsh in describing other people!

Sora: *sigh*

Sora: Anyways.

Sora hands the sparrow to Tanjiro as he approached the one wearing the yellow haori and pulled him out from the girl.

Sora: Oi, what do you think you're doing in the middle of the road dumbass.

Blonde Guy: HUH!? WHO THE HELL ARE YOU! WHY ARE YOU GETTING IN MY WAY!?

Sora: Huh!? The hell are you talking about!? You're the one who has a problem here!

Sora noticed that the person is a swordsman, wearing the same uniform as Tanjiro.

Sora: Oi, Tanjiro, do you know this dumbass?

Sora turns around as he shows the face of the guy that he is restraining.

Blonde Guy: That uniform......

Tanjiro: What do you think you're doing in the middle of the road?

Blonde Guy: I already heard that question from his long haired guy over here!

Tanjiro: Can't you even see that she wants no part of you!

Tanjiro: And don't go making trouble for your sparrow!

Sora: And the fact that you're a swordsman doing such an act, you're a total shame to all the samurais that lived in Japan!

Blonde Guy: Huh? What are you talking about!? Also, that guy........

He gazed at Tanjiro.

Blonde Guy: You're that guy from the Final Selection!

Tanjiro: No one I know is anything like you! I don't know you!

Blonde Guy: EEEEH!? But we met, remember? We met, remember?

Blonde Guy: You're the one with the problem! Like your memory!

Sora: You also have a problem, and that is your brain!

Sora didn't hesitate to slam the blonde demon slayer on the ground.

Sora lets him go as he and Tanjiro apologized to the girl.

Sora: Sorry, if you have to see that.

Tanjiro: But, it's alright now. You can head home now without any worries.

Girl: I will. Thank you very much.

The girl bowed to the brothers, as the blonde swordsman quickly stood up.

Blonde Guy: HEY! STAY OUT OF MY WAY! THAT GIRL IS GOING TO MARRY ME!

Sora: Oh, you're still alive? I thought I already killed you?

Blonde Guy: Because that girl is in love with me, all ri—

The girl cuts him mid-sentence and slaps him over and over, until Sora stopped the girl from inflicting further harm.

Sora: Can we all just calm down for a second?

Tanjiro: Y-Yeah....

Girl: When did I ever tell you that I loved you? You were just crumpled up on the side of the road looking ill, and all I did was speak to you!

Zenitsu: EEEHHHH! YOU MEAN YOU DIDN'T REACHED OUT TO ME OUT OF LOVE BECAUSE YOU'RE WORRIED!?

Girl: I already have a fiancé, so not on your life! With all that energy, you're already fine now, right?

Girl: Goodbye!

Sora lets go of the girl as the blonde tries to reach out for her but she walked away.

Sora: Tanjiro, promise me that you won't be like that guy in the future, and find a proper wife, okay?

Tanjiro: Y-Yeah. I'll take note of that.

Blonde Guy: W-Wait.....

Tanjiro: Look, cut it out.

Blonde Guy: W-Why'd you two get in my way? This has nothing with the two of you!

Tanjiro & Sora:

Blonde Guy: WHAT'S WITH THAT LOOK ON YOUR FACES!

Blonde Guy: Stop that! Why are you guys staring at me like I'm a creature or something?

Blonde Guy: Hey! You two are responsible for this! It's your fault that I missed the chance of getting married!

At this point, the brothers are just disgusted.

Blonde Guy: Jeez, say something! Listen up! I'm going to die soon!

Sora: Then hurry up and do that.

Blonde Guy: HOW COULD YOU SAY SUCH THINGS TO ME LIKE THAT!?

Sora: 'Cause you're an idiot.

Blonde Guy: You wouldn't even understand since you're not even one of us!

Blonde Guy: I'm going to die on my next job!

Blonde Guy: The thing is, I'm horribly weak, okay? I'm not kidding!

Sora: Then how are you even going to protect your future wife if you are that pathetic.

Blonde Guy: You gotta protect me until I managed get married, all right?

Sora: How the hell did this guy even survived those seven nights in a mountain filled with demons?

Tanjiro: My name is Kamado Tanjiro!

Tanjiro: And this is my elder brother, Kamado Sora!

Blonde Guy: Is that right? My apologies!

And he introduced himself as he clings on Tanjiro.

Zenitsu: I'm Agatsuma Zenitsu! Please save me, Tanjiro, Sora-san!

Tanjiro: What do you mean, save you?

Sora: For someone with a sword like you, you can't even defend yourself?

Tanjiro: Yeah, that's right. What was even your reason for becoming a swordsman, Zenitsu?

Tanjiro: Why are you being so blatantly shameless?

Zenitsu: You brothers really have a harsh way of talking!

Zenitsu: I got swindled up by a woman and racked up all this debt!

Zenitsu: The old geezer who took it for me was a cultivator. Day after day, I had to go through that hellish training.

Zenitsu: It was so bad that I thought I'd be better off dead!

Zenitsu: I was hoping I could die during the Final Selection!

Zenitsu: But since I was lucky enough to survive, I have to go through this hell every day!

Sora: *facepalm*

Once Zenitsu calmed down, they continued walking. While on the road, Sora gave Zenitsu some of his food.

Zenitsu: Ah, thanks.

As they continued walking.

Sora: Say, Tanjiro, want to switch over carrying that box?

Tanjiro: It's alright, nii-san. I'll be fine.

Sora: No, I insist. Let me carry the box in order to lessen the burden on your shoulders.

Tanjiro: O-Okay.

Sora carried Nezuko's box as Tanjiro felt relief.

Tanjiro: I guess it was a good idea that nii-san came with us. I can somehow relax.

Zenitsu: So, Tanjiro, Sora-san, you said that you were brothers but how come your faces aren't similar to each other?

Tanjiro: Ah, actually, nii-san is my adoptive elder brother.

Zenitsu: Oh, so he's adopted.

Sora: Yep.

During the time where Tamayo was talking to Tanjiro about Sora, she asked Tanjiro not say Sora's original family name.

"Don't utter the name Uchiha to anyone else, even to the rest of the Demon Slayers."

That is what Tamayo advised to Tanjiro. Although he was basically lying at this point, he had to lie in order to protect his brother.

Also, Tanjiro somehow thought that it wouldn't make sense if his brother will just use a different surname.

The only thing that will bother him is the difference in their faces. Not to mention, when Tanjiro saw the Sharingan for the first time, he doesn't even know anything about it, as Tamayo promised Sora to keep the secrets of the Sharingan to anyone.

The three continued walking to their destination.

Zenitsu: I see. Do you know your real parents, Sora-san?

Sora: To be honest, I currently lost all of my memories.

Zenitsu: Your memories?

Tanjiro: Yeah. When he saw me, I guess he somehow remembered the day we took him in.

Tanjiro: But I guess my brother doesn't remember anything much as of now.

Zenitsu: I see. So, are you going to try and retrieve your memories?

Sora: I don't know. I mean, I lost them, although that would give me answers about who really I am......

Sora: That would take a long time, considering that I just suddenly regained a part of my memories.

Zenitsu: Must be hard, huh.

Sora: Yes. Also, I was cursed to have frequent nightmares that I don't even know.

Zenitsu: Nightmares?

Sora: But ever since I lost my memories, I always thought that they are just a bad dream and the frequency of me having those nightmares decreased over the past two years.

Zenitsu: Two years!?

Tanjiro: But nii-san, why were you even cursed with those nightmares?

Sora: I would also like to answer that question but unfortunately, I don't even have the answer to that.

Sora: For now, let's just continue on to our journey.

The crow suddenly appeared and told the Demon Slayers to run to their destination. After a while of traversing the forest, and Zenitsu's whining.

They reached a clearing and it was a mansion.

Sora: A mansion? Is there someone living in this mansion?

Sora: A hermit perhaps?

Tanjiro: I can smell blood.

Sora: Blood?

Tanjiro: Yeah.

Zenitsu: You smell something?

Tanjiro: Something I never smelled before.

Zenitsu: I don't know about that, but do you hear that sound?

Tanjiro: Sound?

Sora: Sound? From that mansion?

Zenitsu: Yeah.

Sora: Hmmm? Wait, you two, what are you two kids doing here?

Sora faced the direction where he sensed two kids, boy and girl.

Zenitsu: K-Kids.....?

Tanjiro: I wonder what's wrong?

Sora gently approached the kids and showed them Zenitsu's sparrow, which became effective in calming the kids down as evident when they both fell on their knees.

Sora: So, for starters, can you two give me your names?

Shoichi: Shoichi. This is my younger sister, Teruko.

Tanjiro went beside his brother and asked.

Tanjiro: Can you tell us what happened?

Shoichi then told the events that transpired. He said that their eldest brother got kidnapped by a monster. When asked about how they got into this place, they followed their brother's blood.

Sora concluded that the monster that Shoichi was talking about is none other than a demon.

After asking, Zenitsu asked if they can hear a sound, to which he described it as being creepy.

Sora: Again? What sound are you hearing specifically?

Zenitsu: It sounds like, a tsuzumi......

Sora: Tsuzumi......?

Tanjiro: Huh?

Until the sound of a tsuzumi was heard by the people in front of the house. After a few beats......

Sora had an ominous feeling and stared what seems to be balcony at the second floor.

Sora: You know, I was wondering why is the balcony of the second is opened and it seems like no light is entering it.

Tanjiro: No light? What do you—

Sora: Everyone step back! Something is coming!

And as if on cue, a body was suddenly thrown from the second floor of the house and when it landed, the blood splattered.

Zenitsu even became more scared, Tanjiro told the kids to cover their eyes, and Sora immediately inspected the body and from what little he know of medicines thanks to him assisting both Yushiro and Tamayo for two years......

Sora: These wounds are so fatal.......

Tanjiro: Nii-san, is that their brother?

Sora: No, it doesn't look like them.

Shoichi: He's right. Our brother is wearing a persimmon-colored kimono.

Sora stared the man continuing to assess the situation....

Man: Even.....though.....I got out.....

Man: Made it outside......

Man: Am I going to die.......?

Sora couldn't even say a thing as he saw that the injuries that the man sustained are fatal.

Sora could only close his eyes......

And the man died in his arms.

Sora: ........

Tanjiro: Nii-san, is he.....?

Sora: Mm. We can't even do anything much for him, he was only barely hanging on for his life but......

Sora gently lay down the man and closed his eyes.

Sora: May your soul find peace, and be able to cross the Sanzu River.

Tanjiro followed his brother's lead to pay their respects.

Afterwards, Sora placed the body beside a tree. Promising to give the man a proper burial later on.

He went back with the group.

Tanjiro: Nii-san, Zenitsu and I will go investigate the mansion. Do you want to come with us?

Sora: I'll stay here, I don't want to be a burden. Also, I guess I'm the one suited to watch over these kids.

Zenitsu: THAT'S A LAME EXCUSE! YOU'RE JUST AFRAID OF—

Sora: EXCUSE ME! YOU ARE A DEMON SLAYER! AND YOU HAVE MORE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING IN FIGHTING DEMONS!

Sora: I'M ONLY JUST YOUR ORDINARY SWORDSMAN WHO KNOWS HOW TO DEFEND HIMSELF!

Sora: SO GO OUT THERE AND DO YOUR DAMN JOB!

Zenitsu: YOU CAN'T JUST ORDER ME AROUND!

Sora: I AM NOT ORDERING YOU! I'M JUST TELLING YOU TO DO YOUR JOB PROPERLY! WHY DID
