How the fuck is this even possible!? Its obvious someone from the security is either being paid or he is with them or worst... that asshole was here and I don't know how's that even possible.

This is so frustrating honestly. Now, he is this close to us and that's just crazy and kind of scary. I don't know what the hell does he even want from me. He knows bloody well that I am never going to forgive him. No matter what and still these pathetic attempts!

Now what are we going to do? If he was this close tonight then there are high chances of him trying something to get me and I can't let that happen.

I quickly get out of the bed and checked if Liv is still asleep and the baby monitor is working. I ran down the hallway literally barging into Cody's room to find him snoring peacefully.

Everyone of my friends except Emma and Me like to sleep early and wake up early and they never disturb their sleep schedule which is great actually but I can't follow that. I'm not really that good in that department.

I walk towards his bed and tapped his arm softly to wake him up which makes him stir a bit but not enough to wake him up.

"Cody?" I called softly shaking him slightly which made him groan and he opened his eyes.

His eyes narrowed in confusion as I don't usually wake him up in the middle of the night and he quickly sits up rubbing his eyes.

"What are you doing here Val?" He asked with a groggy voice.

"I just couldn't sleep." I said in a low voice.

"Wait...Did Luciano do something stupid? I swear I'll kill him if he di..." He started when I cut him off.

"He didn't do anything Cody. Infact the date went really well but when I came back..."I stopped looking around.

"Just speak already Val! I'm not that patient and you're scaring me with these pauses." He said groaning a little.

"Alright. Here." I said handing him my phone.

He looked confused at first and then his expressions turned from confused to mad and then blank at the end.

"Say something." I whispered.

"That...that asshole was here." He gritted out anger emanating off of his body.

"We can't be sure about that...let's go and check the security cameras." I said getting up.

Maybe we will find something or more specifically someone behind all of this.

"Aren't we waking anyone else?" Cody asked as we walk towards the security room downstairs.

"Nope. We'll tell them in the morning." I said.

We reach downstairs and Cody entered first and I walked behind him. He started checking the footage between eleven to twelve which is when I was back.

"From the angle and position our pictures shows that he was standing in the front garden so check that area." I explained and he did just that.

We saw Luciano's car coming to a stop and then me coming out followed by Luciano.

I look towards the garden to find who was there but couldn't see anyone.

"Really Val?! That desperate?" Cody laughs loudly when I notice me taking off my sweatpants and Luciano stopping me.

I'm not desperate! He is just too irresistible and that was just a joke.

"It was just to tease him. Now concentrate." I pointed towards the screen making him smirk but still looked away.

"Where the fuck is this guy!? Is he invisible or something!?" Cody exclaimed frustrated.

I feel the same actually. There is no one in the garden then how is it possible? There has to be something!

My phone suddenly pings with a message and Cody and I shared a look. This is beyond creepy for me now.

Please tell your friend that I'm not invisible. That's not possible really although I would love to be invisible. It would be so easy to get EVERYTHING.

"Wow. This man is amazing!" Cody exclaimed making me glare at him.

"Shut up! Do you not realize that he can hear you!? He has messed up with this room!" I snapped.

This is no time for cracking jokes. If he could hear Cody speak that then it means he has access to everything in this house. He must have cameras installed everywhere.

Suddenly, I don't feel so safe at this place anymore. Our home.

"I'm sorry Val. "Cody mumbled wrapping his arms around me which broke down whatever power I had and I fell down on my knees as streams of tears flowed faster than my heartbeat.

Why do I feel so weak!? What's wrong with me? What am I going to do now? I dont know why this is happening to me. All I ever wanted was just a normal life but no. Ever since he came into our lives, everything changed.

Everything is ruined.

My heart.

My mind.

My everything.

Nothing is the same and I don't really expect everything to be the same. After all, that's life. Things change, but this. I don't think I deserve this.

My heart and soul knows that I deserve better than this.

"Val...pl...please stop crying. I'm here for you. Everyone of us is with you. I won't let anything happen to you. "Cody whispered hugging me tightly and rubbing my back to make me stop crying.

"I...wh..why...me?" I choked as more tears  gushed out.

"Come...let's go outside." He said pulling me up.

We walk out without speaking a word and him still holding me. I dont know what I would do without my friends and family. They have always been there for me since we were kids and I consider myself really lucky for having them in my life.

"Val? Cody?" I hear Emma's voice as we sit down on the couch in the drawing room.

I turned towards her to see her holding Liv and patting her back softly. She must've woken up.

"Did she wake you up?" I asked in a low hoarse voice.

She comes towards us and sits down beside me staring continuously. She moves her other hand and wipes a tear from my cheek.

"What happened Val?" She asked softly signalling Cody to take Olivia with him.

He takes her and walked away towards the kitchen to give us some space. I sighed sadly blinking back tears when Emma squeezed my hand softly nodding at me.

"He was here Ems." I whispered putting my head down on her shoulder.

"He..he sent me pictures of Luciano and me out by the door. He even heard Cody and I talking in the security room. He has fucking messed with the whole house. I'm damn sure. We're not safe here. Not anymore. I have never felt this weak in my entire life Ems. Not even when he kidnapped me because I was alone at that time but this time? Everyone I love is involved. Everyone." I whispered.

She breathed in deeply and squeezed my hand again in reassurance.

"This is just the beginning Valentina. You can't just give him the power to make you like this. You're The Valentina Martinez! You've survived everything that has been thrown at you and you've always come out as a winner. What are you afraid of then? We are here. We will always be with you. No matter what so please calm down. We will think of something." She said in a strong voice even though I know she is only doing that for me.

"Thank you so much Ems...I..I don't know what I would do without you guys' support." I whispered hugging her tightly.

She is right. You have everyone you love with you Valentina. You already are powerful with them besides you.

That's right. Enough crying over it. Now its time to take some action. I need to do something about it.

"Can you take Liv with you tonight?" I asked looking at her and she nodded.

"Of course. Take some rest and we will think about something tomorrow." She said and we both walked towards the kitchen to find Cody feeding Olivia.

"All okay?" He asked with a small smile.

"Yep! I'll take her now as she is already half asleep." Emma muttered picking Liv from Cody's lap when Emma gives Cody a look and he nods.

Great. They're talking as if I can't understand that. I can take care of myself!

With that, she walks out with Liv and I sit besides Cody.

"When are you going to tell Luciano?" Cody asked getting up and taking out a pan.

"First thing in the morning. What are you doing?" I asked pointing towards the stuff he is getting out.

"Alright. If you were good at something  known as cooking then you would've known that I'm making us Hot chocolate." He said sarcastically making me chuckle and I felt light hearted slowly.

"I'm not that bad at cooking!" I defended grinning.

"Yeah because applying butter over a bread is considered amazing cooking skills!" He rolled his eyes making me pout and smile.

I'm so thankful for him changing the topic and just being himself. This helps a lot when no one is constantly reminding you of what is happening in your life and instead is always there when you need them.

"Hey! I can cook, alright." I snapped laughing.

"Oh by the way...I have something to tell you." He said slowly as his cheeks turned slight pink.

Fuck.

Is he blushing?

"Wow. You're blushing. What is it?" I asked excited.

"Um...I met this girl a few days ago and I kind of flirted with her and she slapped me." He said making my eyes widen as I tried very hard not to laugh but obviously failed.

"That's amazing Cody! Finally a girl who is immune to your stupid playboy charms." I laughed making him glare at me playfully.

"Anyways so I tried to ask her out and she obviously denied but I'm also stubborn so I tried something I've never ever done for a girl." He smiled proudly.

"Okay...what did you do?" I asked curious.

"I made a deal with her. If she went on a date with me then I'll gift her thirty books of her choice." He smirked making my eyes widen.

"Wait...what? Books? Thirty books for a date with you? Why didn't you ask me you idiot!? I can survive a date if I'm getting free books!" I snapped joking making him chuckle.

"As if I would ever go on a date with you." He scrunched up his nose while I glared playfully.

"Whatever..so did she agree?" I asked.

"Yep! It worked!" He grinned proudly.

"She loves books, huh?" He nodded smiling brightly.

"I first saw her reading in the cafe we usually go and I was just really intrigued by her. She didn't care what was going on around her Val. She was in her own world and she looked so breathtaking that I couldn't resist but I got a slap in return." He shook his head smiling.

I just stare at him with a soft smile of my own because this coming from Cody is a big deal. He is a player and he has never talked about a girl like this before so she must have made a really good impression on him.

"So I thought of that plan and I tried again today when I found her at the same spot. I told her that if she agreed to got out, I'll gift her thirty books of her choice and her reply was, " Just for the books buddy!""

"Wow. I like her already!So is she in college too?" I asked.

"I don't think so. She has completed college. She is twenty one or two." He replied and I nodded.

"Well, I'm happy for you Cody! This is amazing. When are you guys going on a date?"

"Saturday."

"Have you planned anything?" I asked taking the cup of Hot chocolate from his hand.

"I think she is a simple girl so she won't like anything expensive just like you. I'm thinking about something private." He replied and I smiled.

"Why don't you take her to my beach house then? Its private and she will like it because I think she likes to be alone more." I explained and his eyes lit up.

"That's perfect Val! Thank you so much!" He exclaimed excited and hugged me.

Wow. Cody going on a date with a girl he kind of likes. That's surprising and good actually.

I hope she is able to see the real loving Cody. He deserves the best.

"What's her name by the way?"

"Scarlett." He smiled.

Its a beautiful name. She sounds like a decent girl too. Let's see what happens.

"Valentina... We checked the entire place..." I turned around to find Mason and he stopped speaking after looking at my confused face.

"I called them after I came into the kitchen." Cody stated making me nod in understanding.

"So...?"
